Youmna Arabica yea it really sucks Eli’s was a cold insensitive person , and Thatcher was a spineless suckey father to merideth he walked out in her and never looked back because he was heartbroken for Ellis but never considered his child, that’s spineless , then Susan trying to be nice but it’s a lil late she should have pushed him to get merideth when she was a child and needed a family ,
ThunderCookie101 the way I understood it was Ellis left him. And then took Meredith across the country. Ellis robbed him of a chance to be there for his daughter.
I hate how she said your mother broke him. Like soooo???? If thatcher cared so much about Meredith he would of fought for Meredith and sued for full custody. Things would of been way different if thatcher got full custody of Meredith because she would of been loved and got the attention she needed and she would of never been belittled like Ellis did to Meredith. Also Meredith would have 2 siblings to love and have love her and be shown love and know what a family is really like.
Yeah I feel like everyone blamed Meredith's lack of a father on her mother people get divorced or spilt up you still see your kid not like mer did anything wrong my parents don't really get on but my dad didn't abandon me just bc he don't like my mum
While that is true, Ellis Grey was also known to be a difficult person. She also cheated on him. It's not Meredith's fault at all, but Ellis would have made suing her hell for Thatcher, especially since I'm sure Ellis would have more money to pay for a better lawyer. Ellis was a great surgeon, a horrible mother, and a cheating wife, and Thatcher was a drunk, broken-hearted coward. Both were at fault and both deeply hurt Meredith, but I agree that Thatcher should have done more to stay in contact with Meredith because she deserved a loving father, too. I still don't understand how Mer's daughter is named after her if she always mentioned how bad of a mother Ellis was lmao
I feel so bad for Meredith. Why did she need know from the new wife that her mom broke her dad? That's no excuse for the dad's disappearance. They're both her parents.
One thing that always irked me about this was that the stepmom goes 'your mom broke him' and like okay I get that but in your opinion, this grown woman 'broke' a grown man. How do you think she was like with her daughter then, her daughter the child? I mean, no one is saying Ellis wasn't horrible to Thatcher but using it as an excuse as to why the man never reached out to his daughter knowing exactly how bad his ex could be...I don't think it really works here.
Trust me. I have this father. I have friends who have this father. The 70’s and 80’s were an era of “the wife divorced me, screw her and the kid. I’ll get a new family”. And they left, in droves, never to return. Not most, but some. My dad used to call me only on my birthday. Now he doesn’t even do that. He doesn’t return calls, texts or emails. I check the obits from time to time to see if he is dead. My mom called him a ghost, even during their marriage. That is why she left him.
I really wish Callie hadn’t been so judgy of Meredith in the beginning. Izzy was the one who hated Callie, and I feel like Mer got a lot of heat she shouldn’t have
Callie thought Meredith had a perfect life and that all they did was complain but to be fair Meredith pretends to be fine all the time so like it took Callie a while to see past the “fine”
I never understood izzie maybe coz I'm more of a cristina type person but i get along just fine with chatty gossipy girls but she was sooo.... self centered she never even stops to see whats happening around her. Someone's dying, the world's on fire but she never even realises the situation around her just her own train of tantrums and gossip and babbling
Thacher should realize just 'think' wasn't enough. Just 'thinking' won't automatically make him appear on her door nor it would miraculously make the more than twenty years of pain go away.
I grew up without my dad and I can't imagine how it would feel to hear abt how great he is from my half-brother when for me what I remember the most is all the pain he caused
not really. first of all molly is of no interest to the story - she isn't a doctor, doesn't live anywhere near Seattle - and also things between Mer and her father and his family aren't particularly easy after the stuff that happens that I am not going to spoil for anyone who has not seen it yet; thus it makes total sense that there is no connection between the two half-sisters Meredith and Molly.
Mer’s face when Molly’s talking about how good of a father Thatcher is to them. This breaks my heart :(
Youmna Arabica yea it really sucks Eli’s was a cold insensitive person , and Thatcher was a spineless suckey father to merideth he walked out in her and never looked back because he was heartbroken for Ellis but never considered his child, that’s spineless , then Susan trying to be nice but it’s a lil late she should have pushed him to get merideth when she was a child and needed a family ,
Ellis took Meredith and took off. He didn't leave.
Daes Gatling they took off after he left
ThunderCookie101 the way I understood it was Ellis left him. And then took Meredith across the country. Ellis robbed him of a chance to be there for his daughter.
Absolutely!! Like wow to find out all that and be at work trying ur best not to act pissed off
Can I just add that Ellen Pompeo looks gorgeous in this scene
Wasnt she?? She was absolutely beautiful in like the first 3 seasons
@@paulnick19 she's beautiful in all of them😍
@@paulnick19 q
I was thinking the same think😂
Juan Carlos Isndb Manhã hahaha sobre uana indo pra uana Verona Altman para que
I love how they never talk about her again 😂😂
Morgan Elizabeth Lexi talked about her, well Mer brought her up when Thatcher needed the liver transplant
She moved overseas
they just did in one of the latest episodes
i didnt know she even existed,, idk how i missed it im caught up with the show haha
@@ellehciMecnessE Meredith couldn’t even remember her name, she thought it was Holly hahaha
I love this scene! Terrific acting by Ellen! You can see the look of hurt and resentment on her face, whilst Molly was talking about 'their' father.
Not just hurt and resentment she's also nervous and excited
All at the same time.... it's brilliant how we could feel what she felt
@@ajzzz888 absolutely! Also shock that another unknown sister emerged in the conversation - Lexie.
Doctor Bailey
Is the only one who has got it together
Everyone else is just thinking about their next screw
I always thought Lexie was younger than Molly, guess not🤷🏻♀️
ranibowunicorn she is lmao
Caden Lerille
No, Molly is the youngest, she said it in this clip.
same lmaoo
@Florenca Gomes ahhhhhhhhhh mark was shocked he felt dirty
callie is the definition of CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT
Emma Doering yes. I hated her in the beginning but then I hated her during the custody battle.
emma doering And April.
Alex too

Thatcher was a coward, thats it

I miss Lexie's mom, she was great~
Right
I love Mare Winningham.
addison did not say her last name knowing it was the same
yep not a good time to find out you have a half sister in the hospital and she's a doctor on your case.
watching meredith hear all these amazing dad stories is torture 😭
PAULA RUDY
Meanwhile this is me thinking all this time that Molly was older than Lexie ...didn’t realize it was the other way around
GOD I HATED THATCHER......
Why?
he kinda blamed Meredith for everything
I hate that people hate thatcher but not Ellis when Ellis did more wrong than thatcher
@@razee.n i hated them both
He didn't fight for her. He didn't pursue custody or visitations. Or insist on picking her up on Saturday's for ice cream. She was a little girl.
I feel so bad for Meredith. Why did she need know from the new wife that her mom broke her dad? That's no excuse for the dad's disappearance. They're both her parents.
Yep and Ellis and Thatcher broke Meredith
Ellis is piece of work
The 1st time Lexie is mention I'm not crying it the onions
ikr i didnt even notice when i first watched this ep
This sister Molly is like Adam in supernatural. Never gets mentioned except once. Forgotten about completely.
SK 😂😂😂 exactly, Adams back now though
Oh my chuck yes 😂
Oh i love supernatural and greys Anatomy 😂😂
They have mentioned her a couple of times. I can think of three right off the top of my head.

THANK YOU!!
Ellis didn't allow Thatcher to visit.
Moreover Ellis moved to Boston and Meredith grew up there
@@erminareyaz3093 No he didn't reach out yh she moved away but she never forbade him from seeing her again

I always thought Meredith looked so much like thatcher in every way except her eyes
Joy Symonds no she looks like her mom only thinner
She’s the spitting image of Ellis, Richard said that to her. However, it’s been said that Personality wise, she gets a lot from Thatcher.
Meredith looked like a completely different person from how she looks now.
Her face surgery got botched
@@kelseyhastings3357 nah it looks like she just aged.
She’s a much better actress too imo
Yes, 20 years will do that. Some day you'll find that out the hard way.

How come we never see her again?
Welcome to American TVShows
She's not a doctor so...
She was not really close to Mer and we have not really seen the Grey's family soooo...
She had the baby moved over seas with her husband and has been gone
The actress had zero charm. No idea who casted her. They probably put all the focus on Thatcher.

@DragonLady XD yeah maybe callie was the one reason she bugged me THAT much. I just felt the show wanted her to be hated.
I forgot molly is younger then lexie
Wait this is kind of where Lexi’s character first gets introduced because Molly mentioned Lexi🌚
Thacher should realize just 'think' wasn't enough. Just 'thinking' won't automatically make him appear on her door nor it would miraculously make the more than twenty years of pain go away.

Your mother broke him!! The audacity!!!!
And in all these years, the showrunners have never brought her around or explored a relationship between her and Meredith.
I liked Callie so much more after George
Lol dropped storyline?
not really. first of all molly is of no interest to the story - she isn't a doctor, doesn't live anywhere near Seattle - and also things between Mer and her father and his family aren't particularly easy after the stuff that happens that I am not going to spoil for anyone who has not seen it yet; thus it makes total sense that there is no connection between the two half-sisters Meredith and Molly.
Mer looks like such a fetus in season 2 omg
:( Izzie and Callie I miss them so much
I dont miss izzie
Why do they act like molly doesn’t exist it’s so weird
Such a sad scene.. must've been so hard to hear all of that!!!
What did molly call her baby??
Laura
Doris LaCaze thanks 😂
It would be cool to see molly in the latest season
Meredith looks so skinny here!
I MISS SUSAN GREY SO MUCH ITS NOT EVEN FUNNY
who else think that the high number of unknown half sibling is something they have in common with meredith grey?
because i do😅🤣
she looks more like her stepmum
Meredith has 2 sisters I forgot all about that
3
I love addison
How many sisters does she have?
3
Lexie and Molly.
Emily Kira don’t forget about Maggie
So unless we found out about another child I guess they are the only 4 blood related persons in the tv show
3
I totally forgot about her omg 😂😂😂
the butterfly effect is if george didn’t tell addison that they were related then she would’ve introduced her as dr. grey to molly
holy crap she’s aged so much since then
The disturbed creek predictably man because tanker pathologically crawl against a lucky cappelletti. nostalgic, mellow numeric
The title is wrong it's more like age has sisters
I forgot about that sister
I feel ya, Mer, I feel ya
I feel really bad for her with her Bad relationship with her mother the very least she could have had was a loving and supportive father to rely on
1:17 Mark had to learn that the hard way
Issy really needs to allow George to be a husband to his wife.
She claimed to be so much In love with Doctor Danny
Yet ended up screwing George
LoL ha ha ha breaking things..
Can I get married I hope my father will be there for me I hope so I’ll be so happy but I’m far away and he is far away from me
yeah thinking is not enough
All this and it’s only Friday
So thats her step sister too
Half, they share a father
so she just got written out the show lol

Meredith could've had a relationship with her father more but she didn't and that's her choice.
