Heavy metals can be a root cause of resistant thyroid dysfunction. Supporting adrenals helped my thyroid in the meantime. I've been using Andrew Cutler low dose chelation with success but I have to support adrenals, thyroid, liver pathways along the way... Thank you for your work Dr. C.

How common are pituitary adenomas ? I’ve heard so much mixed research!

I need help! Low tsh, low T4 & T3; all the symptoms of hypothyroidism including the doughy, fluidity legs, that started about a year ago. Was on levothyroxine, then switched to Armour 120 is my dose; been on that about 4 months now.
I was a competitive distance runner with Olympic aspirations; those dreams are obviously over if someone can’t figure me out; so discouraged; falling back bad into eating disorder behaviors; anybody reading this have any insight? Horrible headaches, HR mid 30’s to 40’s, no spontaneous BM’s, decreased urine output, poor perfusion to extremities, & the list goes on. Current endocrinologist not helping; been searching for another doctor, but everyone I’ve called is booked months out. Vomited blood last several bulimia relapses; I’ll be dead soon if I don’t stop; need help!🙏🏼

I have hyperthyroidism for probably 8+years now. Only found out when my sister notice both sides of my neck are swollen. Currently taking Methimazole 20mg daily for 3mos now.
I noticed the changes right away. So Doc, Where do I go from here? I was considering RAI coz my 2 doctors I've been to recommend surgery. Thanks.

Hi Dr C. If someone is taking desiccated thyroid, such as 'Nature Throid', what should one do prior to a blood test, so as to get accurate results? How would one know if they are taking too much or too little? Many thanks.

I have Graves’ disease. They have me on 50mg of prednisone and have been on it for 5 months. The ct scan showed optical nerve compression so I did do radiation at a low dose for 10 days 3 months ago. My endocrinologist and ophthalmologist both said my pituitary and adrenal glands have shut down. After radiation my levels were tested normal twice with no thyroid medicine. So would that still mean those glands are not working? I’m trying so hard to get off this prednisone but they haven’t started tapering me yet and I’m concerned about the long term effe of this drug. Especially at such a high dose. Any advice?

TheMichelleStrong I am no expert but i went from 60mg to 05mg in 2 months with yoga (ujjayi pranayama 21 times a day and kapal bhati for 15 mins). I just hope it works for you too

Megha Rathore thank you. They have finally started tapering me off so now I’m on 9mg but adrenal insufficient. I guess because it is also attacking my eyes and it’s taking me longer to get back to normal.
