this doesn’t work at all for us we have tried everything, we built in the middle of an ocean and nothing is spawning.

I’ve tried just about everything and this farm spawns a total of 0 mobs. The trapdoor trick is not outdated as well so do not reduce the 2 block high ceilint

Things you need:
- Droppers
- Chests
- Campfires (I recommend soul campfires)
- Gates
- Trap doors
- Something to build this with (wood/stone/etc)
- Water buckets
- Carpets (I recommend using buttons instead)

It can be on land to. And i think it works on both versions.
The "easiest" is to do on in the sky on top of an water, that way you dont have to waste alot of time torching and mob proofing the caves below to allow more mobs to spawn in your farm

Do the trapdoors go everywhere above the platform?
I think you only need to put them in the spots that don’t have the carpet/buttons
I just built a 34 layer creeper farm which took 3days and produces 32000 gunpowder per hour

This works in older versions but in newer versions, creepers can't spawn under trapdoors anymore

Not efficient, add more layers and a trident killing chamber so u get the looting effect from ur sword. Also build it like 150 blocks in the air over an ocean

Makes more spiders than creepers. Golems keep dying. On bedrock
Place buttons on the floor instead of carpets and that should solve your spider problem.
that was patched spiders won't spawn anymore

Anywhere, but not too far because it could be out of render distance and the creepers will not spawn. I say make an afk room either 15 blocks on top of the creeper farm, or just afk Infront of the creeper farm
@@XenonAqua15 blocks is way too close. Mobs only spawn 24-128 blocks away from the player so the optimal afk spot is 128 blocks above the farms lowest point
Mine won’t work and I’ve covered all light sources, just curious if the campfires are stopping from mobs spawning, also am I supposed to be a certain distance from the farn

I really dont get how people get mobs of any kind to just spawn lmao. I set up tinited glass on a super dark room in the sky and it wouldnt even matter ifbi was relying on random movement because they dont spawn whatsoever.. i got spiders and creepers and now i have nothing at all??

Thats what the trapdoors are for, creepers are just short enough to be able to spawn under them.
Is this bedrock friendly?

the campfires might be too bright
soul campfires on the other hand are 5 levels dimmer than campfires so that might be a better alternative dealing more damage and insuring the workings of the farm

Built a farm kinda like this but it is a cat-less design that requires like 22 stacks of trapdoors and produces 12 stacks of gunpowder an hour.
