Heeey, it my bike in white.. My first bike and been riding since late 2015. I do wish it was able to do some off-roading but it good for now. I take it on a lot of motocamping so canyon carving is awesome btw! Maintenance can get pricey especially when the 15,000 miles service comes knocking 🙄, the biggest service it requires. I so do most of the service it requires but if you can find a guy or gal that only works on ducati, you're set. Luckily someone recommended a guy near me because going to any dealer for service is ripoff and your mainly paying for the brand name fees. Honestly the biggest nitpick I have with my bike is waiting for it to recognize when it's in neutral.
They called it 796 probably because it's like a bigger (slightly) version of 696 and they might have thought it should have had resemblance. Similar trend can be seen in KTM models: Duke 690 had 690cc but Duke 790 had 799cc.
The 796 is between the 696 and the 1100. They called it, the best of both worlds. It's a great beginner bike. I think I would have gotten the 696 if I didn't hear it was made specifically for the ladies Lol. Not sure if it was true 🤔 but that turned me off and the 1100 was too much bike for my kind of riding.
Just road the 796 today and it was tricked out with everything aftermarket you could think of and it was honestly the most fun motorcycle ever imo!
That was great m8 cheers. I'm sold on them again watching yours. I had an M900 years ago & i LOVED it & it was so reliable & they just feel alive
I love how he said not recommended for a first time rider. I got this bike when I started riding.
J. Canedo well, that’s his opinion. 🤷♂️ not everyone is responsible
I bought a 13 796 as my 1st bike last year lol. Havent gone past 80mph. I just like riding around town blasting my Termingnoni
Me too!
I think I'll have this one for a while even after getting the #2
YES!!!! my bike is awesome...

Great review!
Austin Bernstein thank you 😬
Thanks for the review! Would you say it’s too fast for a first time rider?
Responsibility and knowing your limits is the best way to determine that. It’s a quick bike for sure
You keep riding on tyres you don't like 'til the cords show through?
Handle bar!

I had a 2013 796 as my first bike and loved it. Not saying it was a smart thing but definitely not for someone who has no experience with riding.
Sounds great
Muffinman thank you!
Where all did you ride! I’m from the bay but in NC now. Making me homesick.
This was in Charlottesville, VA
Yes! Exactly what I was asking myself! Why is it called 796 when it is 803cc . . . >.
Cannot change lever pull force by changing the lever… Dah
