  • Wow, Ducati where were you hiding this thing? This is amazing and you should ride it. It really caught me by surprise as well.

    Jerky? It’s a V Twin! That’s Ducati, that’s the beautiful sound, just need to be smooth.
    Mine is 2013 796, for first couple of days it took a little getting used to.
    14t front sprocket sounds fun (re comment from other guy) thanks

    love mine. good video. I think it is a bit of a gem .The new 797 is a throwback to this one, but the 796 has the single swingarm, etc, so I think it's better than the new one. The 14 tooth sprocket change fixes those low rpm throttle issues too ;-) nice review.

      I totally agree, Ducati nailed that generation.

    Great review man, my Ducati 848 is such a great bike but i do mostly city commuting now and need to downgrade. I love the looks and the feel of Ducatis but they have such a jerky feel to them at lower speeds it can drive me crazy. You have any recommendations for a good city bike besides the 796?

    Nice vid. Have owned a few Monsters and they are wonderful road bikes. Always keen on seeing someone legally 'lane splitting' as I've always lived in areas that do not allow this, and the benefits are obvious to both riders and cagers when this is allowed. Have not had anyone try out one of my Monsters and not come back pleasantly surprised/impressed with its real world performance. Maintenance? That's another discussion entirely...

    Rear break is very light. Bike livens up with exhaust. The seat position is not good on the jewels. Overall I’ve had mine for 4 years. Same exact model and year and I’ll never get rid of it. It’s just it’s own thing.

    nice video. how is the Monster 796 compared to the Monster 821 that u had for 2 days? is the 821 a better bike compared to this one? cheers

      Brad Lian that's the crazy thing. Having ridden both of the you would expect the 821 to be way better, but if it was my money I would get the older 796. Every time. I go into it more in my full review. (Releasing tomorrow)

      MuraStone , you would be the first person on TH-cam that will be directly comparing the 796 and 821. Trust a lot of Monster fans are looking forward to your comparison. thanks for the effort and awesome videos. really appreciate it!

      I Think there isn`t a large different, just that you have a few HP more or less

    Beautiful bike. But I would NOT drive a motorcycle or ANY manual transmission vehicle in San Fran.... no effing way lol.

      @murastone3989  7 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      Yep, can confirm. At first terrifying. Then you get used to it. Then you become a manual transmission GOD anywhere else. Parallel park uphill in reverse in a tiny spot? Pffft, hold my hipster brewed coffee and watch this.

    Video would have been better without the 7 year old narrating it.
