      Hi. I do have a full set of before photos. However - the video at the beginning, does show me “before” waiting for my photos to be taken. We will plan to post the photos more clearly in an upcoming post.

    Thanks for sharing her story. I'm curious, what medicine was used for the rash?

    • @drjonmendelsohn
      @drjonmendelsohn  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Depending on what we believe the rash to be from, the medications used may vary. Treatments can range from a Medrol dose pack (steroids), topical steroids, Benadryl, antibiotics, or a combination of these. It's important to accurately diagnose the cause of the rash to determine the most effective treatment. Thank you again for your interest and for following her story!

    What is the DOT procedure? Ty😊

    • @drjonmendelsohn
      @drjonmendelsohn  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      The Dot procedure is essentially a fractionated CO2 laser treatment designed to rejuvenate the skin. It effectively addresses various skin concerns such as photoaging, sun damage, brown spots, fine lines, wrinkles, and tightens the skin. Dr. Mendelsohn recommended this over lower eyelid surgery (blepharoplasty) in my case, as I had more aged skin than excess fat.
      After undergoing the Dot procedure, I am genuinely impressed with the results, and it has sparked my consideration for an upper blepharoplasty as well. I've witnessed the positive outcomes of eyelid surgery with Dr. Mendelsohn, and the transformation in others is remarkable.
      For those interested, here's a link to a video provided by Dr. Mendelsohn's team that influenced my decision: th-cam.com/video/9uMgd_aGFwc/w-d-xo.htmlsi=WPdDLTKOGyxzNgMo. The ointment used post-Dot procedure can be a bit messy, but the smoothness under my eyes makes it worthwhile. Interestingly, Dr. Mendelsohn himself has undergone the treatment, and he shared his experience in this video: th-cam.com/video/OgfDjnv9G_A/w-d-xo.htmlsi=rbirSkJiFUeja0qp.

    Is this a vertical SMAS? And why was a SMAS chosen over the deep plane?

    • @drjonmendelsohn
      @drjonmendelsohn  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Thank you for your insightful question. This particular procedure involved advancing the SMAS and releasing several of the "deep plane" ligaments." The choice between SMAS and deep plane techniques often depends on the specific needs and anatomy of the patient.
      The deep plane facelift is technically deep to the SMAS, and it involves the release of various ligaments when greater mobility of the facial tissues is required. We have other videos that describe these facelift techniques in more detail. Feel free to check them out for a more comprehensive understanding. Thank you for your interest!

    60-90 minutes for a full facelift ? Is this smas or deep plane ? Where are ou located please.

    • @drjonmendelsohn
      @drjonmendelsohn  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Thank you for your insightful question. It seems you have a good understanding of facelift techniques. Whether we opt for an SMAS or a Deep Plane Facelift, the surgery typically takes between 70-90 minutes. Overall, patients spend about 3 to 3.5 hours in our facility, from admission to discharge. For the past 20 years, we've successfully performed facelifts using local anesthesia and oral sedation, avoiding IV sedation or general anesthesia, to facilitate smoother and easier recoveries. Additionally, we do not use drains since blood loss during these procedures is minimal, typically less than 5 cc (1 teaspoon). We are based in Cincinnati, Ohio, and offer virtual consultations via Zoom if you’re interested in exploring how these procedures can benefit you. Thanks again for reaching out!
