TM147619 Gen 2 2025r Technical Manual says 2050-2250 psi. You're right that I'm higher than that but I'm not hot rodding it. I may lower later in the season if I notice any popping or creaking or anything suspicious.
Interesting. I do not have the tech manual. I have a 2022 2025r. The owners manual is a 2020 version 10. Page 400-1 states 2000 +-150 psi. I wonder what is different. I would love to take it to 2300 for that extra little bit of power. What year and version is the tech manual?
I never gave it a second thought about my front end loader. Wanst looking for this video either but it peaked my interest. Thank you very much for opening my eyes on how my 2025 can be better. Much appreciated and you're vid was also entertaining. Thanks again. 1 year later.👍
Perfect vid, thanks for taking the time to make it! My 2025r is scheduled to be delivered in a few weeks and I'm just preparing myself with all the info I can.
Thanks for posting the video. I have had my 2003 JD 790 for about 6 years now and the process is very similar to raise the pressure. I plan on doing it very soon. Gotta give it just a little more lifting ability. Thanks again.
Great video man! I’m on my second 2025R. I now have a 2021 model. Had a 2015 before, it had a little stronger backhoe (270) I think? And front loader a little stronger as well. It got totaled though 😂. Long story👍
My 2016 1025R is weaker than I’d like. I’ve had 2 occasions where it would lift as much as I needed. I bought the Titan forks and probably mistakenly selected the 4” forks and should have gone with 3”… the Titan forks with the headache bar is 298 lbs. by itself
I have 2021 2025R and I love the machine but I feel that its lift capacity should be higher. Kind of kick myself for not buying a 2032 or 2038. But even with that be said their lift capacities are not much high but the price goes up fast… Thanks for video i’ll have to give this a try…
That only works in this very specific scenario where we know that the hydraulic system is by default around that pressure and rated for that. In general, there is a lot of complexity to be accounted for when formulating lifting capacity. You couldn’t put 4000 PSI on it and say “I got 50% more lifting capacity”.
Looking to adjust my 2020 2025r, mine is a bit below 2000. did you keep the 2400 or did you adjust back 2250? Thanks for Great video. Btw my best update to my 2025 was 2” bora wheel spacers.
I adjusted to just below 2300. I did notice when tightening the 14mm lock nut the pressure went up. Be sure to account for that movement on the valve. I will test for a week or 2 and reply back.
So the nut you turned to adjust the pressure, would there be an o ring behind it. I had John Deere adjust the pressure but then I had a hydraulic leak and they said the o ring was bad. Make sense?
@@dustinwood2496 Not sure about the backhoe , but I know the hoses are rated for 3000 psi, and if the rating is 3000 psi I garuntee the actual point of blowing a line would be more like 3200 and up IMO . Just read this and thought would reply even if it's over a year later lol .
@@JohnDoe-dk8zz No problems at all. It's a much more useful machine. I've seen people run much higher PSI than me. I think deere sets it low to reduce chances of tip overs or overloading the front axle.
100% Chineseium/weak material. They warrantied it. That said, this was months ago and this thing has been tremendous since. I've worked the hell out of it. I wouldn't be worried.
I found your answer for the turning and tracking issue. It may have resolved itself through general usage but should you encounter the issue in the future, it is a really easy fix. I've attached the video that describes what I believe you encountered: th-cam.com/video/8vLik8QGjxA/w-d-xo.html

Factory spec on the gen 2 2025r is 2000 psi +- 150 psi. Where did you get 2400 psi?

I found a thread on gtt and they had a screen shot of the specs you state. Interesting. Thanks..

Great bit. Best explanation on youtube. Took me 10 minutes to get my pressure cranked up to where it should be.
Glad I could help!
Tony is my name I love my 2025R and there aren’t a lot of videos that just talk about my machine. Thank you and I did subscribe 💪🏾
Thanks for watching. Waiting for mine to get back from the dealer now...

Thank you...I trying to decide between the 2025r and the 1025r... this helped a bunch...
If you and/or your property can handle it, get the 2025. I know I'm just a guy, but you will NOT regret it!
Woohoo! Finally found the video I've been looking for. Thanks for the great video
My pleasure!
Heck yeah! I’ve gotta go test my 1025r now that I’ve seen this!
Get the gauge and give it a go!
So a year later. Did you crank up the pressure on your 1025. Up to what and did it make much difference?

great VID. What size fitting did you order with the gauge from Bolt on Hook?
Hey man, glad you got your 2025 back! I’ve got a cabbed one on order for early May. Keep the vids coming, they’re great.
They are so great! Good luck w your new toy!
The rooster part is hilarious lol thanks for the video it’s super helpful!
Thanks for watching!
When I first saw the video on the bent front end issue, I looked back at your delivery video and it look like it was bent from the start.
Maybe. I never took a clear enough pix/video to PROVE it. I looked thru what I had and it wasn't super clear either way.
Thank you for the info on pressure specs. I’m going to invest in the gauge so I can check the psi on our 2025R.
It's the only way to do it safely for you and the tractor. Bolt on hooks . com should have it.
Is there a separate pressure valve for the backhoe attachment
Very nice that's my next move also put my 3pt snowblower up on rack just need a tiny bit more lift
Tempted to adjust my psi plus 50... it's a 2018 Gen2 2025R with 768 hrs. No issues at all thus far, maybe best to leave it be.
If you don't HAVE to mess w it, I wouldn't.
Awesome video dude . I have a 1025r so I would think this process is similar.
Glad it helped
That is awesome. I have a 1025r and it also struggles with lifting

Yeah, if you went from 1950psi to 2350psi that’s about a 20% increase in lift capacity 👍

Please give me the companies name for the pressure gauge. Not finding the website.

Another awesome video
Thanks for watching!!
Just wondering if it helps on the backhoe. My loader seems fine but my backhoe is about gutless.
Negative. Different circuit.
good video thank you
You're welcome
Where did you get your pallot forks from and how much do they wait?
Titan attachments. The frame weighs 120lbs and the forks are 80lbs each, so about 300 total.
Can you share the pressure gauge you used also when you hooked up the pressure gauge were you using the loader joystick to get the pressure to show?
you can get the kit from boltonhooks . com and yes the loader up circuit
Can you give us a link to the forum you mentioned? thanks

Very helpful video. I just picked up a 2025R and see you are using a measurman gauge, is this the same as found on Amazon?
The hydraulic hookup came from Bolt on Hooks. The gauge came from a local hydraulic shop. I'm not sure of the brand.
@@JohnWCH Excellent, I will report back on how it goes!
Check out little green machine
So the nut you turned to adjust the pressure, would there be an o ring behind it. I had John Deere adjust the pressure but then I had a hydraulic leak and they said the o ring was bad. Make sense?
Maybe. I'm sure you can look up the parts diagram and find out definitely.
If I pull the tire would I still need to remove the fender liner?
The liner has to come out either way, the tire being removed just gives your hands more space to work.
Will this work for the backhoe attachment as well or does this adjustment address that too?
I do not believe it does anything to the backhoe or any rear implement.
@@JohnWCH could this same method be used on a backhoe? Also, isn’t there’s risk of blowing a hydraulic hose?

is that home heating oil I see in the filter there?
No. It's off-road diesel. Heating oil is different.
