    Had the same problem at 3hr. I got a new tie rod end, I straightened mine while waiting on new tie rod took about 5 minutes to change. I actuly straightened it two years ago still have new one on shelf since that is obviously a week link. I have I’ve 100 hours on mine. I watch it closer now. It’s not a great design. Only one side is power assisted in steering the two tires are connected with that bar with bends put in by factory (built in failure point) so you don’t break something mor expensive. I hope this helps I just keep a spare on the shelf I think it was about 120 bucks only takes about five minutes to change that way I’ve never without my tractor. I’ve never had to change it again. Good luck

    Have 2020 version, same TLB and later got R3 bias tires with a 60D deck. The bias tires have a harder compound and are quite a bit bigger. I haven’t left any marks on pavement or my sidewalk yet. Scratches, yes ! Plowing scars 😊 Still puts a smile on my face

    Just found your channel. My 2020 2025R day 1 had a diff lock linkage adjustment issue, was locked all the time and had the exact same steering issues you described . Would not turn needed weight on the front to turn it. Rear tires were scrubbing on the ground. Dearer fixed it all been fine ever since . Should steer with ease when rear diff is not locked . I am curious if that was still not your initial problem that added a lot of stress the the front end that led to the latter issue you have with the front wheel alignment. ???
    Enjoyed the video. Subscribed.

    That sucks.. I don’t have any of those issues with my 2025. My steering’s fine. My tractor is set up exactly like yours same tires with backhoe. I would guess the front end problems came with the tractor. And that causes most of your issues.
    Mines been a work horses In rough terrain use it mostly hauling logs and firewood processing. Hope it’s an easy fix.

    your turning problem and your skid mark problems are all in one problem. It seems to me that your diff lock is stuck in the lock position which would cause both skidding your rear wheels while making a turn and causing your front wheels to slide because your rears are locked (when turning, the inside rear wheel will turn slower than the outside rear wheel) not allowing for the rear axle to give for turning.. If it is stuck, try driving in a straight line while pulling up on your diff lock actuator to take pressure off of the rear axle allowing it to unlock. Nice videos!

    I looked at my 1025r front tie rod bar in the front. It’s not bent like yours. So I’m guessing you may of caught it on something. An as for the skid marks it’s not a normal thing but a buddies tractor rear diff lock needed to be adjusted so he could turn it was stuck an he couldn’t turn an just kept going forward.

    What did you wack with that L/F wheel to bend the tie rod ❓
    It wasn't delivered from the dealer toed-in like that.
    Man up and give that tie rod a few good heavy wacks with a 5lb sledge hammer to straighten back till you get a new one. Then wrap a string tight around all four wheels at axle level and adjust the Toe In to 5mm IN for each front wheel with the steering wheel centered. Bob's yer Uncle.
    ✌️All that is in your OWNERS MANUAL

    Get the 3 inch bora wheel spacers u won’t regret it I love my 2025. U bent the tie rod. Kubota is no better have one at my job it’s been in the shop as much as in the field.

    • @hawkenman.549
      @hawkenman.549 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I agree. Looks like a tie rod bent. One tire straight, one tire toed in. Probably could straighten it your self. That’s why you have skid marks, the tire is not tracking straight. You hit something.

      Do not put spacers on the front wheels of a 2025R. It will cause the wheel to jam on the casting frame. I have 3” spacers on the rear, which causes the step on the backhoe to interfere with the wheel. However, it is manageable. Maybe smaller space would clear. The spacer helped my stability considerably.

  • @minutemanmac

    I have 1.5" spacers on my 2022 1025R and its a night and day difference. Its been taking a beating and no issues yet. I am however going to trade it in for a 2025R but they are saying an April 23 delivery date.
    Now on other supply chain issues, my year and a half old Duramax is sitting at the dealership for over 2 months awaiting a replacement 10 speed transmission that failed!

    I ordered my tractor (Kubota) early October of 2021 and the last conversation I had with the salesman was you might get it sometime during the first quarter of 2022. As of now, still nothing so don’t know if choosing Kubota would have worked either.

    Sounds to me your dealer didn’t prep your tractor properly before delivery. The alignment of the front was probably off explaining the rubber marks on the concrete but I can tell you from experience even if perfect a tractor will leave some marks but usually go away with a good rain but not like you are showing. If you get a kubota in the future I hope the dealer is better and hope you love that treddle peddle system lol

    JD isn't as US made as people think. It's imported parts and assembled in US with US labor.
    Driving with 4x4 on will cause more scuffing but it's dangerous to have it off as you only have braking power on rear tires. The mfwd shaft can link fronts to the rear and increase stopping ability

    • @JohnWCH
      @JohnWCH  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Correct. And I should have clarified: I only drive in 4wd when I need to. It's not always on.

    Honestly never seen the front tire rod ever bend, used a 1025 in 4x4 to push a metal loading ramp on asphalt no problem, being a front tie rod check it to make sure u did not run into something, that will be the first thing the techs look for when it comes back in for warranty. Everyone says get a kobota but ur time for parts will be weeks and not three days usually max for dealers to get the parts in, we turn away kobotas just because of how long parts take to come in

As soon as I heard the boom I shut it down right away but it had already done the damage. The machine was simply driving up a gravel road when it all happened. They said it was a major factory defect & they replaced it with a 100% brand new unit.

    Two possible solutions:
    1. Leave it parked in the garage. In a few years the way things are going you could double your money.
    2. Live with it. Rubber tires on concrete leave a mark in a turn, the sharper the turn, the more pronounced the mark. Same applies for when it's on gravel.
    Otherwise, it appears that you may have found a way to bend the tie rod. Cheap fix, I doubt the warranty will cover it though unless it was delivered that way.
