The reason this movie was especially great was because the action scenes were all designed to instill the feeling that "there is no way out", while also ever escalating the intensity and only defusing the situation as little as possible without dragging it out. There aren't many movies or shows that pull this off well.
This is so accurate! Tightening the borders of a scene can make the audience feel just as in trouble as the characters. Honestly the camerawork in general was excellent in this movie.

@@vtr0104 the robots didnt want to do it, they dont "want" to do anything, it was an AI that had access to their network and gave them orders, its literally stated that the red lights mean that they are linked to the network directly and are following orders. i mean, after viki (the ai that was controlling them) died, the robots went back to their ways which was shown when viki died the red lights went away and asked one of the main character if they need help getting up. Just dont bring religion in technology. They are NOT the same thing or related.

I like how the characters just blasting away at the robots and jumping around across this very tight platform area makes them seem bad ass while also maintaining the feeling that if just one of these robots slips past their bullets and lands a good hit or two on them, they're pretty much done for

Man the parts where Sonny takes down the two robots in the hallway are probably my favorite action sequences of all time. One of them anyway. Especially 1:12-1:22 Very slick, tossing the nanites as a distraction.

This movie looks like it could have been a movie about deadshot.
As a Kid I thought Del Spooner was the main character, but now that I'm an adult, I feel like Sonny is because he's the robot who stood out, and fights with his bare hands.
Sonny was the acrobatic Spider Man, Luke Skywalker type fighter, Del Spooner was like the Han Solo of it. But Detective Spooner did remind me Shaft and Luke Skywalker put in one, which this scene reminded me of Luke Falling in Empire Strikes Back.
Played this with ghost in the shell soundtrack..........NOW ITS PERFECT!!!!!!!!!

Dude loved this movie and now older just appreciating the style of the camera movements with no stupid shaky cam or thins like that. Like we see all the action and from insane angles. Plus will smith acting and Alan tudyk are just great. What a well made film.
The fight on 1:12 reminds me of the wendigo fight in “until dawn”

NS5's would make fantastic assassins. Not only are they scary fast, they are highly efficient. Always seeming to be one step ahead. If it weren't for plot Armour the only one who would stand a chance is sonny. They are also willing to self terminate if the objective is botched, and to avoid discovery. Like when the one NS5 threw itself into the fire in the car tunnel.

@BlueHunt Gaming Yea...that comes before the robot tosses the nanites to Will....robot was using his difference engine to make a choice and Will told him to ignore it (hearkens to the scene earlier in the movie where the robot saved him and not the girl in the sinking car)
