Sorry for the rant but that is literally one of my biggest pet peeve's when it comes to other religious people. • @the.chronic.ironic
      @the.chronic.ironic 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +31

      At least you have the self-awareness to realize it and change, and the humility to admit it!! Sadly far too many people will never be able to recognize it, let alone change. I guess ignorance is bliss? Idk, but I too, used to be completely insufferable lol. It wasn’t spiritual psychosis per se, but in my teens and early 20s I was just incredibly self-absorbed, entitled, and generally pretty inconsiderate of others feelings. In grad school I developed a serious substance abuse problem, which most certainly did not help me become any less self-involved or inconsiderate. I also recognize it’s a little ironic that that no one asked, and me just talking about this assuming anyone cares at all is such a self-absorbed thing to do 😅🤦🏻‍♀️. I’ve already typed it out though so it’s too late and I’m gonna keep going!
      ANYWAY, thankfully after a number of failed attempts I was able to get clean (celebrated 5 years just this year whaaaa!) and was forced to take a hard look at myself and my behavior and how it affected everyone around me, and most importantly, to take accountability. I know that today I am nothing like I used to be, and have no problem admitting that I once was an insufferable piece of work.
      The oooonly thing is that with that self-awareness comes the unfortunate side effect of having to experience visceral cringe and embarrassment everytime my brain randomly decides to flash back to memories of my behavior back in the day, which is far more often than I’d like. It sounds like you might be able to relate to this 😅 😬 though I think it’s a small price to pay if that’s what it costs to grow and develop a bit of emotional intelligence/self-awareness and to be a decent, non-insufferable human that others want to be around, ya know?l last thing… but don’t know that I’ve ever heard the phrase “spiritual psychosis” but it’s kind of the perfect way to describe it lol .

      Firstly I want to congratulate you on your hard work bestie 🎉❤❤❤ woohoo for you!!!! Seriously!!!! And dude when I think of myself on my 20s I could die of embarrassment😂 I was culturally appropriating a lot of Indian culture; greeting people with namaste and wearing bindis 😅 I also used to walk downtown barefoot and think I was an alien star child with special powers. I had such a serious case of "I'm not like other girls.... I'm spiritual" my gurus were wome like the scent bird ceo. I understood her lingo perfectly and legit used to believe all that stuff!!! I'm so happy to b3 free from those chains because it became very obsessive and ocd like. I had a spiritual ritual or astrological answer for everything!!!! I think it was my way of trying to have some control over my life, coming from a childhood where I was not considered or prioritized... I was seeking control and meaning for sure!

    It's terrifying that, not only does this woman admire Hitler's "3D Planet Earth Warfare" and its supposed benefit toward "millions of souls", but she views some people as NPCs (NOT HUMAN). Her comparison of genocide to playing a video game is baffling. Even from her perspective, these things can't possibly be equal because everything in a video game is an NPC. The fact that she views souls as an element that differentiates humans from.... irl NPCs, means genocide could ONLY be like a video game if every victim wasn't human to her. There are very clear eugenics at play here.
    Not only is the notion that Nazis contributed that much to science extremely controversial, but the moral of that story should NEVER be "the ends justify the means". This woman stands to do serious damage to society.

      @@frankietower4002 Your ego is essentially your conscious self. It’s comprised of several facets including the person you present yourself as to others, who you are when you’re alone, your private and public ideations and morals, etc. Some people who partake in psychedelics will experience an “ego death” in which you become completely disconnected from your own ego and can experience the universe without any preconceived ideas. It’s very hard to explain if you haven’t experienced it. You tend to have this feeling of all encompassing knowledge and realization, but it can’t be put into words. The problem is when you sober up, the ego returns and many people consider themselves to know better than those who haven’t had this experience, which is antithetical to the point of “ego death.”

      Hello, chiming in as another neurodivergent person who experienced ego death without drugs (or diagnosable psychotic symptoms) 😅
      I believe it is (probably) just a hallucination, but that means - like with any hallucination* - how you interpret it is based on your underlying personality traits. I have a low sense of agency, lack belief in higher powers, strong emotional empathy etc. so feeling less like a self and more like a part of an ecosystem inspiring and reinforced my egalitarianism; for people who have a superiority complex or a main character syndrome, they might lose it due to the experience, or they can instead interpret it as them being “enlightened” or “chosen”.
      To put it simply, some people feel ego death making their world bigger, and others feel it making themselves bigger.

    This is very obviously the ideology of these yoga / fitness cults, especially with the higher self aspect. This is a cult. Absolutely. Let’s use the BITE model:
    -Behavior: food intake controlled at retreats, encouraged to go to retreats, encouraged practices.
    -information: are outside sources encouraged, such as science? I have to say no.
    -thought: encouraging people to think a specific way. This is pretty clear cut in how she frames what truth is.
    -emotion: every illness is related to trauma in her system. She is manipulating the emotions of trauma to control people.
    Not all cults have to be isolationist, and the fact that she encourages people to pay so much money is another big indicator.

Especially icky since she's part of the beauty community which tends to have a lot of lgbtq+ people. Anyway, there's a mega thread on the r/BeautyGuruChatter subreddit. Mostly it is dramatised and intensified allegory of what if or an attention grabbing metaphor for issues happening in society. But certain plots should definitely not be taken seriously

    Also goes to show how prevalent the “loneliness” epidemic is because that was massive even before the pandemic and lockdowns. As someone who’s desperately wanted to “go home” while in the house I’ve always been in with the only family I’ve known, it’s rough. I desperately hope that one day I’ll find somewhere with someone that makes that debilitating desperation go away. One of the top things you can do so much more harm with if done wrong. We learn for years how to help with trauma & you can go on for 2 additional to degrees post masters. It’s no joke, it’s not a grift to help w/ trauma. These ppl need to be stopped cuz it’s bad enough what we see, but imagine what we don’t at their private calls or the retreats that ‘spirit’ told her to charge $250,000 for? It’s gonna end very badly for someone. They prey on ppl in their most vulnerable times willing to try anything, suck all the $$ out of them they can, potentially make them worst but at best have no training to help & bankrupt them.
