Hope you didn't get too sick. FYI . . . during the time of this video, I unloaded dishwasher, reloaded, washed pots by hand, wiped things down, folded one load of laundry and started another. This is why I love watching these videos to see what I can accomplish in a short amount of time. Love, love your channel.
I do remember the video when you toured your house last year. Sometimes a year seems to go so fast. You have done a lot of work making the house your home and it is really cool that you have the videos to look back on. Take care. Sending hugs and a prayer. ❤️
Love the verse of the day! Yes it is hard. I struggle each day with wanting to go down the path I think is right, but He is true and gracious to bring me back to His path:) Thank you so much for sharing your day and an encouraging verse! Hope you feel better:)
For your sore throat put 1 Tbsp of vinegar in some water & take it a few times a day. I know it's not very good! But it usually works. It works best when you take it the first sign of a scratchy throat. Your cookies looked delicious!
There are special paints made for stenciling, and it comes in little round pots and the paint is quite thick. The brush you use may be called a spouncer if I’m remembering correctly. It’s basically just a flat foam end on a wooden handle and you bounce the paint onto the stencil.
We won't be hard on you Lynette, your allowed to rest. The housework will be there for another day, spending time reading with your boys always seems more important to me, take some time for yourself, you will be busy when your little girl arrives. Take care,Bless, Diana.
I remember the jackhammer! The two of you were working so hard the afternoon after you got the keys. You have really changed the interior and put your Lyn stamp on it! And you're right, doesn't seem like a year ago. Now a year later - you'll soon be showing baby girl her new home. I think you all seem to enjoy the fairly mild weather in Florida. So happy for all of you.
With the stencil do you have a craft store like Michael's where you could buy an inexpensive canvas and paint the pattern on it to hang above crib. That way you could measure and space out stencil
I make those same cookies every year. My family loves them! Nip that sore throat, Fill a basin with warm water and table salt. Put your face in it, open your eyes and sniff a little water. It's like using a neti pot without the neti pot. Works every time! Love your videos and blogs, Lynette! They make my day!
You and your husband have such a sweet relationship. Glad you got some rest; I thought my allergies were bothering me but it turned out to be a cold. I love Call the Midwife! God bless.
It’s amazing how far you’ve come in updating your home in only 1 yr. It’s so nice and homey~I just love it. The boy’s are just adorable. Their faces when you are reading are so cute looking at themselves in the camera 😊
The 9th was my 20th anniversary. Special day all around. There is a cold going around here in Clermont (Orlando area) I haven’t gotten it yet but because my immune system is compromised I am super careful whenever I go anywhere. I pray you feel better soon. We used the removable stickers ( not wallpaper just stickers) on our sons walls so that we could update when we wanted easily. They aren’t really super expensive at Hobby Lobby or Amazon.
Dearest Lynn, good luck on your sugar test tomorrow. Try not to stress about it. I love your video and you're sharing. Try to rest when you can especially now before the baby comes. You know once she comes you're not going to get any rest at all and you got to take care of yourself! I certainly meant that in a sisterly manner I hope that's okay? God bless you I am so grateful you share a scripture where this I love the book of Deuteronomy it's so encouraging. You're a beautiful lady and a wonderful example. Thank you so much for everything you do for everybody XXX God bless XX Willow
You look amazing! Been gone for a while and hope your pregnancy is going well. The house looks really nice I love what I was able to see. Many years ago I stenciled my then teenager daughter's room took me months. I was fitting it in after work and on weekends. I did a wisteria border along the top and at the chair rail level which I added thin wood border to. Under the chair rail I sponged multi shades of reds (pink to burgundy) to look like a field of flowers. Her theme was Victorian garden which was centered around Home Interiors carousel and Victorian pictures she loved. So much work but the smile on her face was worth it. Now the room is one with a SpongeBob theme for the grandchildren.
I used to stencil walls in homes, among other things. To help keep the paint from spreading under the edges, I gently tapped the paint on with a sponge or brush. I've never seen or used those stencil markers. I am sorry you aren't feeling well. I pray that you will feel better soon! :)
I hope you feel better soon. It's hard to believe it's a been year since you moved into your new house. I have really enjoyed watching the transformation. My favorite is your family room. It's so cozy and inviting. Have a good weekend!
I have been watching you since almost the beginning of your TH-cam. Yes, I remember the vlog of you flying down and seeing your now home. It is wonderful to see the changes that have made it your home. PS: Love when you and Nick have time together and that his comments make you laugh.
I hope you feel better soon and can find a comfortable position so that you can get some real sleep. You always look beautiful to me kiddo no matter how you are feeling. Thank you for letting me tag along on this journey.
When it comes to painting walls, I'm a total stick in the mud! I'd personally do a decal wall cling or a feature canvas. (I made large canvas name sign for each of my littles). Paint on a wall leaves a little ridge which means to completely change the look one day would require sanding. I'm too lazy, so I get a giant canvas from hobby lobby using their 40% off coupon and then use that. Plus it can be moved around. But I probably just got that from my mom who was very anti direct-on-wall-art 🤣 and we have both freelanced as muralists for hire lol!
Have you watched Jam Ray Vintage? She does a lot of stencil work. Shows you how it’s done. Does sell products but you could just glean the ideas. Best of luck. Watching your videos and really enjoy. I live in England 🇬🇧💓
I too, watched the Call the Midwife. First season was not my favorite, but later , I loved the history in each season of the progress in helping women with child birth, and their own personal care.
Praying for you Lynette and I love love love Call The Midwife .I started watching it while living in Holland 3 Years ago and I am watching it all over again now. Take care !
If you still want to use the stencil, could you maybe trace the stencil with a pencil and then paint it with a brush? I guess you would have to use quite thick paint so it doesn't too messy. I have textured walls in my flat and it was already quite a challenge to get nice edges with the contrast colour. Also you could first have a look with just holding the stencil against the wall to see if or how the pattern will work out. Good luck with it! And I hope you feel better, soon!
Lynn you always look lovely..fresh and pretty. I hope feel better soon and that you get lots of well deserved rest. I just love your channel so much👌🙌❤
You need to use a vinyl stencil that will actually stick to the wall. Then paint with the base wall color first so it fills all the ‘bleed’ spots with the same color as the wall. Go back once that has dried and paint with your other color. The only downside of vinyl is that you can’t reuse the stencil. 😕 I would actually use wallpaper like you mentioned...especially since it’s removable. Or have you thought about a little gallery wall? Those always turn out super cute. I actually have one in my daughter’s room and I love it. Good luck! Can’t wait to see what you decide on.
Hello from Paris, TX. This is random but I have been wondering... Have you seen 👀Sherry Gore since living in Florida? I just love her cook book. And I really enjoy watching you bake cookies.
Have to comment again: Yes, I remember the first video's of your house. I can't believe its been a year! You and Nick have done a great job with re-doing it. :)
Praying you feel better soon!! It has been a while for me but I dreaded that test when you had to drink that stuff, and back when I had my babies we only had orange! The orange was not so bad but it was so over sweet!! Yucky!!!
Hi Lynn, so sorry you have not been feeling well. I have been a sub from when you were in Holmes Co. and followed you every step of the way. You are so down to earth and I love your chats. The cookies looked delicious! I am a terrible baker, lol!!! Hope you are on the mend. Also, your family stays in my prayers every night. God bless you too, hugs!
Someone on Instagram(can't remember who) free handed painted a wall...using the long side of a kitchen sponge and made her own pattern on her wall. If I find it, I'll pass it along. It was a simple design but looked cute.
Hope your feeling better my now, I have had the flu since Wed hubby was sick so he likes to share lol I watch Call the Midwife's my sister was telling me today on message video that the new season has started on TV in Ireland! Yes I'm Irish lived now in a small town Outside of Vancouver BC Canada which I love! Your cookies looked great my mouth was watering when you and husband where testing them lol Take care off yourself and rest offtend if you can know its not easy when you have a family to look after! Thank you for sharing I enjoy your videos so much God Bless Liz x
Hope you’re feeling better soon, and I’m glad knowing that you took it easy at least the day of filming. The boys sure look like they loved the story you finished with them. Cookies/mashed potatoes looked yummy😂. Now I’ve got to try browned butter on mashed! I remember the soreness and pain in my hips during pregnancy. Hoping you have some relief from that. I remember using a pillow to raise my leg or legs depending on my position when I laid down. And a warm compress also helped on my lower back to relieve some hip pain. (You’re probably already trying all of that) Thanks for verse of the day!

I think I said half a stick of butter when I meant a whole stick / or a half cup! 🙈😄 my bad!
LYNETTE WHO MAKES THAT SAUCE PAN YOU PUT THE BUTTER IN- I LIKE IT.
I can’t find the company anymore. Mom had gotten a Set before I married.
Lynette Yoder WELL THANK YOU ANYWAY.
Hey pregnancy brain is a real thing! I'm right there with you 😂
I was wondering if you knew how much of a discount Walnut Creek gives you to order off-line? Thank you.
I love “ Call the Midwife”. I have watched the entire series and think I have cried at the end of every episode. It is so good.
I am the same way! :)
You could do the stencil on a board or a large canvas and then just hang it on the wall
Hope you feel better. Stencil: pick up a sponge where you can pounce the paint on. They are round with a wooden handle. Try black stencil paint. 😊
Yes - I've been stencilling since 1980 (I am ancient, but experienced ha) always lightly pounce to get color variation & no bleedthrough.
I feel you on the hip pain. I'm 37 weeks and the hip pain is REAL. 😩
I know it!! Hang in there!! And thanks for commenting on this video🙈😅 after the other one had a glitch 😩
@@LynetteYoder - You're welcome! I never noticed the glitch though. 🤔
I also get that hip pain! Wait, I’m not pregnant, just fat and fluffy....does that count?! Lol

I live in Wisconsin, where Culver's originated! For your cold, get some Elderberry syrup! It's all natural and it boosts your immune system!

I love culvers! I only get it like once a year because we don't have one in our town. Ours is about 40 minutes away. 😭 Now I want a butter burger! 😋
They’re good!
Hi , I want to try Culvers . Do they have vegetarian food ?
Hope you’re feeling better soon, and I’m glad knowing that you took it easy at least the day of filming. The boys sure look like they loved the story you finished with them. Cookies/mashed potatoes looked yummy😂. Now I’ve got to try browned butter on mashed!

I love call the Midwife! Thanks for sharing
😉I saw you put a whole stick of butta in there girly....lol I found your channel after you had moved. I've never done a stencil on a wall, I can imagine it could not be fun. Yep. That’s what the recipe said. 😄 did I say half?? Oops.
@@LynetteYoder yea, blame it on pregnancy brain fog😁
You should try a pregnancy pillow - I just got a Snoogle (I'm 32 weeks and it was worth it even for the last few weeks) and it is AMAZING! So much back & belly support.
So sorry you are not feeling the best, hope you feel better soon.
Re the stencil, I suggest using a sponge instead and use a dabbing motion. Also if you maybe start in the middle and work outward you could them cut the stencil to fit the ends of the wall - unless of course you intended using the stencil elsewhere ? Just a suggestion anyway. God bless and TYFS xxx
