Because not knowing whats on the library of movies and TV is possibly our least of concerns when someone's wrongful death lawsuit has been prevented these terms. This isn't a deep dive into an "explained" video of the situation, but just us talking about the situation in passing, and urge you to Google the topic to learn more about it. Any of you guys thinking about staying away from Disneyworld or any of the other theme parks because of this? Either way, it's a crazy world we live in and definitely reveals that we have to be a lot more careful now with these services. Sound off in the comments what YOUR thoughts are about this situation!

All the guy did was sign up for a one month trial years ago, so they're saying because of that he can't sue them for the wrongful death of his wife.

This is one of the problems with Disney. Not "woke" crap or "they ruined my childhood". This is actually real and how Disney treats their workers is real. Get mad at Disney over real issues.
This is an interesting case if you look into it disney plus aside. Apparently, his wife collapsed 45 minutes after leaving the restaurant. She ate with her husband and his mom. After they left he went to take leftovers to hotel and she and mother in law split up. So for 45 minutes she was alone and then collapsed as she entered another restaurant where they called 911. Took her to hospital where she died and autopsy said she had high levels of nuts and dairy. I want to know what happened in those 45 minutes if she's so deadly allergic why didn't the reaction happen sooner. I think the disney plus thing is taking eyes off of something else. Maybe a larger conspiracy at hand.
I'm glad I didn't pay for their shows.

A legally binding contract needs......
1. Legally consenting parties over the age of 18
2. A legal object ( pretty much you can't hire a hitman)
3. A definite start date and end date.
4. Consideration (something of value must be exchanged)
5. A meeting of the minds ( a person cannot sign a contract under duress or if they're not of sober and clear mind).... that's why I alot these Clauses don't hold up in court and why when you sell your house or something you have to meet at a title company with identification and there's a notary there.... so good luck on them enforcing that. Just because they say you can't sue them doesn't mean you really can't

The thing about is there isn't a judge that would rule in Disney's favor because suddenly that opens up for the precedent of everyone in the country to be at the mercy of corporations. Employees that wouldn't have much to offer in a wrongful death, it's Disney's business. If they can't cover their accidents, they shouldn't have a business. Their jobs as bosses was to manage those employees and they failed.

Technically, Disney doesn’t really own the restaurant at Disney Springs, they’re just the landlord and the restaurant is operated by someone else. They’re just trying to get out of not being sued. The response is still ridiculous but I’m just saying.

The biggest problem with this case is the husband Piccolo whose suing them might not win anyway even being a Disney+ subscriber because Disney does NOT own the restaurant that his wife died from her allergies. So who knows…

The issue is that the law is so vague and full of “maybes” that this can go either way. It all depends on who the judge is, who the lawyers are, and what the precedent is.
