Ignore the naysayers. Just bought this new Greenland jacket (winter version). I also own other Fjallraven jackets; old Greenland, Singi down, and Skogsko. All I can say is, the new Greenland is probably the best jacket Fjallraven ever made. The sleeve length is perfect, the shoulder is perfect, and the amount of room for layering inside is perfect. I couldn't love this jacket enough. For comparison, the Skogsko and the old Greenland is much baggier and has a very granddad hand me down fit but still tolerable. The Singi down is probably their worst jacket; the Small size is larger than the Large of other jacket brands and the sleeve is probably made for extraterrestrials with 2 metre arms. I have nothing but regret for the money I spent on Singi down.
Hello Sara, About 5 years ago maybe 2014 I purchased a legging, which may be a base piece, but I love it so much I literally live in it daily in the winter. Good thing I bought 2. It is a fleece lined legging with a simple design. There is still no piles on it. I tried to purchase more but I was told it’s discontinued. I am very sad to hear this. Would you consider bringing it back? I would buy an other few at least. And my friends would get great gifts.
While (maybe) looking a bit sharper than the old version, it has lost a lot of its practical appeal. The fit is more snug now especially around the shoulders, which makes it way less suitable for layering. I tried sizing up, but that did not solve the problem, the armholes are just too small. The big advantage of the older Greenland Jackets were, that you could wear two or three layers underneath or even a light down jacket without looking odd or loosing freedom of movement. Hence i would wear it almost all year around. The new version is merely a fashion icon, good to throw on in autumn and spring, but only a shadow of what the original garment meant to me. Less wear, less stories :-( Sorry!

The only issue I have with is that either its sleeves are a little bit shorter than normal, or the shoulder design is different. I wished it had a bit longer sleeves or similar shoulder design as the Sten, Keb or Skogsö. I didn't have this specific problem with any other Fjällräven jacket, as most of those jackets actually have pretty long sleeves. I even had to go with one size larger than normal. The new Greenland is somewhat different in this manner.

I know they market these things as water resistant but I was outside in the freezing rain last week and absolutely nothing got through the jacket. It's waterproof. I was very impressed with it.
Why are the trousers only available in regular and long lengths 32””+. ? There are shorter people that love Fjallraven too ...!, Many of the pants have finished ends which cannot be reduced and the knee detail would be in wrong place if shortened anyway 30”” length would sell well ..... If you produce them ...add the link to where we can buy ...

Hi, In addition to our trousers in fixed length with long and regular length, we also have raw length trousers which can be cut to desired length. We also have the Vidda Pro trousers short men´s and it is 30" on all sizes. Maybe it could be an option? We will have it next year in our webshop, but you can also find it among our resellers.
What is the difference beetwen greenland va raven jacket… about desing, use , utilities…? Thanks

Hi, The fabric is the same and also the pocket solutions. The difference is that the Greenland jacket has a fixed hood and the Räven jacket has a hood which can be rolled up and folded into the collar.

Hej, Greenland wind jacket ska inte vaxas eftersom det är ett annat tyg än G-1000. Man kan använda en PFC free spray om man vill. När det gäller High Coast shade jacket så har den G-1000 Air vilket är ett tunt, svalt och ventilerande tyg och det tyget har vi inte vaxat för att just ha en bra ventilation. Det finns ingen anledning att vaxa det tyget eftersom det är tunt och tanken är att ha ett svalt och ventilerande tyg.
Ugh... why do you make feminine cut jackets (narrow chest, wide hips) and call them mens? Are most men overweight in Europe or just afraid to wear mens clothes?

Just used the Greenland Jacket on a hike to the Kinnarodden, with 4°C and windforce 8 winds, it never let me down.

Hi, The Greenland jacket is not lined and does not have any padding. It is the G-1000 only.
Why are they so expensive? There is no way it costs anywhere near that amount to make.

@ I understand that you can't satisfy everyone with just one fit, but I should say that the old more brutal "square" fit was an absolute bomb imo.
