You CAN watch videos on your phone after your subscription runs out. Simply switch from cloud storage to local storage on the clips page, and voila...all clips are available. It took me a bit to figure this out because it's not mentioned anywhere. Cheers!
I feel like if you have the module and the usb you’d be saving money long term. Compared to the subscription price. If you have to buy the module anyways to save the data on the cloud you might as well just do it manually. Unless of course you have the money to spend every year/month for the subscription and you don’t care 🤷🏼♀️
I have the outdoor camera 4 and the sink module 2, but nothing saves to the local USB memory. No clips show up when motion detected video begins. I wish something could tell me what I'm doing wrong.
Blink annoys you into getting at least their basic plan. With a usb drive, each vid takes a while to load, and then you can only delete the vids one at a time...and only as each vid loads at that snail pace.
@@smarthomestarter Smart biz model, actually. After all, they're not lying when they claim you don't need a sub to use their product, it's just more convenient to.
I use tobe able to see my clips on my phone I do have the back up flash drive just like you showed now today it doesn't work on my phone 😂do you know why?

Thank you!
So you can't watch your clips from the App on your phone? That part was sorta vague.
Great info, well explained.

It’s the business model. That subscription revenue adds up, unfortunately

This is very bad for customer
Recently it requires to have subscription in order to have video recorded on USB drive
Please take a note for this
This video is obsoleted for new Amazon policy
@@davidtrinhlequang1550 How so? I have no subscription and haven't seen any behavior change.

Rip off you can only capture triggered clips not live as you watch video when you haven't got a subscription
I’ve seen other videos on TH-cam of people that have saved the live videos to their usb drive.
So you can’t have the Subscription without the local module?
Yeah, you will need the module to sync to the cloud regardless
@@smarthomestarter which is kinda pointless that was the point of plugging in your own USB storage. Right?
No need the subscription
After having USB drive you may watch the recording Video
Should restart the Blink after inserting USB DRIVE
Must have subscription in order to recording video😂
So much rambling.
