For those wondering why it didn’t brake when heading towards it it is because he put it in sports mode which turned off the obstibsicle ovoidence sensor
Avoiding obstacles only works in Normal mode or Cinema mode unless you turn off in settings menu what sensors will do , bc I t can make drone break when see obstacle or bypass obstacle
There is a little obstacle avoidance indicator that looks like a circle with little bumpers on 4 sides in the top right of the screen. It's good to get into the habit of glancing at it. If it's red for any reason that means obstacle avoidance is off from either sport mode, dark conditions or manual toggle via the safety settings.

In Mavic air 1 , the sport mode keeps sensors on

It was a bad mistake because of Habit that I used Sport Mode! I was shocked it crashed but glad the drone survived (would never repeat)!
Starts in N then slips into S switching off sensors. Could have been a lot worse at that speed straight into a trunk!
