    No I haven't had any issues with this meter. This is a fantastic meter, and very underrated.

    I enjoy watching your electrical tool reviews. I really enjoy hearing the opinions of someone who has tested and used a wide range of equipment. I like tools period. Bryman meters seem to be well regarded in the countries where they are sold. EEV Blog Dave had Bryman make a special issue blue model for him to sell. As for my meters, I have a Fluke 376FC and a Fluke 117. I also have a Klein insulation tester which I have limited use for, for checking for residential wire damage, so I don’t need one with more features. It has all that I need for a really really reasonable price. I have a Klein Advanced Tracer which works quite well, and a new Klein Circuit Analyzer. I’m really proud of my Flukes as my main diagnostic tools, but I truly appreciate what Klein put on the market at really competitive prices because it’s not worth it to me to pay the really high prices for those tools that are much less critical in the work I do. I like them all but I’m very attached to my Fluke instruments including my LVD2 and 2AC to keep me safe around wires that might be live. All in all I really like all my electronic tools and the large collection of Klein hand tools I have. I need some cordless power tools, but it’s the meters that I’m most curious about, and hand tools I don’t yet own that could be helpful nice in certain apparitions . Tools, tools, tools! I like good tools!

    Hey great video my friend. I do have a question for you since you’re an electrician of many years. If you’re working on something like wires for a smoke detector (120 v) would you turn the power off at the breaker panel or would you work around live electricity?

      I can do both , but I rather work on a dead circuit if possible . That way I can focus on my repairs and not getting shocked or tripping the breaker.

    Joe Smith on TH-cam got a firmware for his Brymen 869s with a 256 second backlight, Brymen sent him a chip preflashed with the latest firmware. (i just checked the 829s online manual it still says BL is only 32 seconds)

    Thanks. Does this have the LoZ feature? In regards to residential wiring. What is the LoZ feature good for? Also, sorry, many questions, but why do multimeter probes with fuses, you mentioned in another video, why do fused probes add extra safety?

    • @TheElectriciansToolChannel
      @TheElectriciansToolChannel  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Not that I know of ? But the LoZ feature presents a low impedance input to the circuit under test. this reduces the possibility of false readings due to ghost voltages and improves accuracy when testing to determine the absence or presence of voltage. Fused probes adds an extra line of safety because it makes sures the voltage to be cut off at the probes instead of reaching the meter that may or may not protect you from injury. I recommend using them. I hope I answered your question(s). Thanks for watching 👍👍

    I appreciate your video. I have the 830a. From left to right, the first half is poorly lit and the other half is well lit. Do you have this issue and is there any way to rectify this ? Thanks.

    This meter looks & worked well but my daughter & I liked the ToolTop ET12S (FeelElec FR01C).
    Because we can troubleshoot short circuits, overheating, thermal & so on much quicker when using thermal features.
    As always, nice reviews.
