# 17 Preparing to move into the boat house / Tiny house cabin restoration

- This week we finish the last job on the boat house restoration before we have to move in for the summer while we renovate the cottage. Odd jobs on the restoration of the land continue.

It will be lovely for you to live in the boathouse for spring and summer. Here in the south of Sweden spring has sprung completely, we have had some really wonderful weather lately. Good luck with your coming renovation of the ”big” house.

Great video. Suddenly spring is upon us all. Then we play catchup and trying to get all those gardening jobs done in double quick time! There is always so much to do. You had some particularly prickly looking bushes you were attacking, do you know what they were?
The water in the lake where it had thawed appears to be crystal clear! So looking forward to seeing the lake when it’s completely ice free. ❤
Yes exactly! The bush is called beach rose 🌹 the lake water is so clear and lovely excited for the ice free days for swimming and boating too 😊
Hope you find time to rest when you have fully moved into the boat house. What you have done looks nice in the space you have to work with.....I would have put my bed in the corner next to the wall and dining table close to the doors opening to the outside, allowing more space to move around and dogs to stretch out. It is wonderful that we are all so different. I always like your creative talents. I will be so glad for you when the snow is gone and your world turns green. How long is summer there?
Yes we always take the days we need to if we feel tired but we definitely make the most of good weather 😊 yes that was our original design idea and the one we will use for the larger guest cabin I think but we didn’t want to change the windows in this one yet and they are in the center so it was nice to put the bed there for now, likely it will all change later on but for now it’s cosy and a tidy place away from the madness of the main house so it’s great. Summer temps will likely leave us by October so we have limited time to work on the bigger house but day by day 🙂

Where is Martin ,,like you doing all the work ,, lol just asking
He’s usually off doing other jobs elsewhere as we don’t really need to work side by side that often these days, we know our strengths and i most do most of the filming, I can’t go film him at the same time because it would take me away from my own work so it’s usually easy just to film what I’m up. He’s always working on something I could never pull this off alone lol and he does a lot of boring things like runs to the skip with renovations junk since I don’t drive 🙂
