Nice that the Leafs found a coach that struggles as much as they do to make it past the first round 😉
We would have won back to back Cups in St Louis if not for Covid. We fired Berube not because he is a bad coach . Everyone From the owner to General Manager & most of the players still Love him. Our Stanley Cup window just closed. He cannot take young players & develop a cup team. But he will let you know where the problems lie. You have enough talent in Toronto but it will take a few changes that Berube wants. Get ready to play heavy & Forecheck but most importantly you have to Backcheck. No skating around waiting for the Puck, You have to take it. Good luck Toronto. Berube will Never Ever be forgotten here in St Louis. Cant wait until you come to town. It will be one of longest Standing Ovations ever Heard.

Well overdue
Berube was the best out of a relatively weak crop of potential hires. Leafs really need someone like DeBoer, Torts or Laviolette, but of course all of those guys are off market. Leafs are roadkill regardless until they can jettison at least two of their terrible contracts and use those funds to build a playoff competitive roster. If they get there and if Berube still is there they'd have as good a chance as any other squad. Berube does have a Cup win on his resume.

I don't see Joel Quenneville coaching ever again.
He ignored sexual assault allegations (later substantiated as true) so as to "not distract these guys" right now.
So.. not only did he feign ignorance of a continued CRIMINAL act, he defied the Blackhawks own internal standards and practices (SAP), which affected multiple players for YEARS.
I heard reports that the player at the centre of the case is okay with Queneville returning. I think he served his time. It shouldn’t be a lifetime ban
great add idk why ppl don’t like it 😭 he’s a guy they need to hold the team accountable. Leafs haven’t had that in a while and when they did it was the coach who just fucks his team over. Berube will make the stars play physical and play 100% every playoff game.
The Leafs somehow lose their system and structure both in the regular season and especially in playoffs, if you watch the best teams play in the playoffs the they almost never lose their system and structure. The Leafs need better players able to play a man to man system, their gaps are HORRIBLE! and give the opposition way to much time and space all over the ice. They need to be more proactive and less reactive.

Berube made a huge mistake taking the leafs job. No one can fix the rotten core 4 laziness and softness. Berube should have waited and taken the LA, and soon to be opening in Carolina jobs.
The rotten core 4 Marner Matthews Willy and PJ must be having nightmares tonight. No more soft Keefe to rub their tummy and read them a bedtime story.
