I've had mine for about 2 weeks now. I haven't had the same issues. Some form of a crease in a folding phone is inevitable, in my opinion . Personally, I'm very satisfied, coming from iPhone
I took m P9PF back after about 10 days because of an incurable Blue Tooth problem. Maximum 6 foot range to me Bose head phones, terrible connection to my hearing aids, Dropping connection to my car (Phone as a Key). I tried every control in Settings/developer... nothing helped. I'm not the only one, Google it. Too bad, I REALLY liked it otherwise.
Thanks for the real world and honest review. I think I’m going to leave it for now. I can’t justify the cost based on the crease as I know it will annoy me.
In my case the screen became uneven on the first day of use, the right side of the screen seems to have a massive bump starting from the crease. When folded two sides touch each other leaving a visible 2 inch line. It's really uncomfortable to look at, but Google asked me to take pictures or a video but it's not easy to make it visible in photos ..
I wish I hadn't seen this video because I hadn't noticed. But I sure did now! 😅 Although mine aren't really noticeable unless I really really look for variations in the crease. But your review was spot on.
I had the same experience as you. I had in my hands a week-old P9PF with lumps on the crease, and a brand-new one. After a few minutes of folding and unfolding, the brand-new one developed the same lumps. At this point, I’ve accepted it as either a characteristic or an issue that every P9PF will eventually have.
I got a second P9P Fold and it does not have any major bump or sharp spot issues. It does have the 2 subtle lumps you feel on the top and bottom of the crease
that's the screen protector. i wish they made them removable last yr and i immediately replaced it with a more durable self-healing TPU one. i posted a comment saying i used to have a P9PF and for the few days i had it, my phone creaked a bit when i opened it so that was concerning.
My Spigen Ultra Hybrid Crystal Clear for the 9 Pro Fold had another issue: the bezel/edge of fhe front piece is so thick that it kept lifting my screen glas on one side, a screen glass my Spigen! Returned it. Now almost happy with the MOUS case.
My question to you is how are you taking or digesting the fact that the phone has those lumps that are poking at the screen in my personal experience I will tell you I own both devices and I ended up returning an obsidian pixel 9 pro fold because it had the same type of lump you pointed out right in the center of the screen and on top of that it had some on the top and the bottom section of the screen I ended up using my mom's Google account to order porcelain model and only time will tell after using it for a few days if those lumps appear on the screen and unfortunately I will be returning the device because my concern is how long will it perform before it breaks the screen and to be honest with you you're buying a foldable for the tablet experience but you're also buying it with the Peace of mind that the foldable will last enough until you decide to upgrade to the newest iteration and hopefully if Samsung does make a special edition hopefully it sells well and that's adopted in the United States because as much as I love the new pixel 9 pro fold if the inner display is going to develop those lumps that's going to make me want to return it cuz I don't want to risk the phone getting worse and breaking when I can just use my z fold 6 although I will miss this cover and display
I had mine a week. Noticed the lumps in three places in crease. Sent back to Google who decided to repair the inner screen and not replace the phone which, of course, was within warrantee. Anyway, had the returned repaired device for a few days and lumps were worse in the repaired screen and gave me concerns about long term effect on inner screen. Contacted Google again and got RMA replacement. Had new device now a further week and whilst bumps are not visible running finger along crease you can feel them. Clearly this is a design feature but not a good sign for durability in terms of the bumps clearly become more visible over time. I'm surprised there is not a lot more noise about this given my personal experience.
i had a P9PF on Verizon. the Exynos modem line is still dogwater like last year (i had the first gen Fold last yr). areas that are 5GUW were areas that only provided LTE. it went back and I got the Z Fold 6. Now I'm getting 5G and 5GUW where i should be
In this video, Xplosiv Tech provides a 15-day update on the Google Pixel Pro 9 Fold, comparing a new black model with his older white one. He unboxes the black phone, comparing its design and color to the white version. He then discusses the cases he's using, noting a preference for a lower-budget option over a more expensive one. A key focus is the crease, which appears to have deepened over time on his older white phone. He expresses concern about this and shows viewers the difference between the two phones. He also points out some bumps under the display of his white Pixel Fold, suggesting a potential issue with the screen. The video then shifts to a discussion of the phone's performance, particularly in gaming and productivity. He highlights the advantages of the large screen for tasks like video editing and emulation, showcasing the phone's capabilities. He also touches on battery life, stating that it's slightly less than the Pixel 8 Pro but still acceptable. Finally, he mentions his upcoming review of the Pixel Watch 3 and encourages viewers to like, subscribe, and leave comments with any questions.
I have the black one and the same issue it looks like it's poking out so it has to be internal. Hopefully more people complain and Google does something about it. I got the protection but that's for if I myself damage my phone, in the past companies want you to use an incident instead of taking ownership that it's their fault.
@@kevinm9this may be the thinnest foldable in the United States market but I can tell you by ownership and personal experience I am on my second pixel 9 pro fold and I have a Galaxy z fold 6 I pre-ordered and I picked the pixel 9 profile because it has a cover display that actually makes sense to me but like he mentioned in the video and that is a big concern to me because I want a foldable that opens and doesn't develop any lumps down the center fold and my first model which was the obsidian color had three in the middle of the center fold some on the top and the bottom and when I took my z fold 6 and ran my finger through the center fold I didn't feel any lumps besides the bigger deeper canyon because I've had the phone since pre-orders open you are correct about this phone being the best design ever put out in the United States and it does have stellar leading hardware but needs improvement in the software and like he pointed out in this video I think the phone has those lumps who knows what's going to happen down the line in the future
Fucking Google lying about the creAse. Love your approach to review. Awesome stuff. Decided not to give it a shot this time around. I'll just stick with my fold 6 and my OG pixel fold
Playing call of duty the OG one not the trash warzone the phone is bad as for long periods of time I'm trading in my pixel 9 pro fold & going back to fold 6 or considering s24 ultra the pixel 9 pro fold is no where near optimised enough for gaming it's just straight up bad

Great review! Actually helped me make a decision!
The black one is looking better.

@@Xplosiv-Tech Unfortunately, it may look fine now, but it will probably develop the same deformations.
It's the way folds are even the OnePlus open is like that but the pixel 9 pro fold is amazing in all aspects
I have the bumps on the crease as well. Not something I notice unless I go out of my way to touch it, though.

My google pixel fold not 9 pro fold has these same bumps on the crease.

Which emulator you're using? (20:18)
The last version of Citra released

Black is the play! 💯
Aramid Fiber MagSafe is the way to go
I don't use MagSafe, but I'll check it out.
That crease is brutal, I wonder after some time that you will develop a white line or dead pixels along the crease
I hope not, but I'll update the channel if it happens

Heard volume is too soft?
I have the same dot in the middle in the 1 month
Do you prefer z fold or this one?
I prefer the Pixel 9 Pro Fold over the z fold 6.
Glad i didn't rush for this phone. It's only second gen compared to fold 6. Refinement is key. Awesome looking phone but not for me
That's too bad bc this is the best foldable phone ever made for the U.S I would reconsider if you plan on getting a foldable
@kevinm9 already got one fold 6. It's the processor for me maybe next year

That's the optical image stabilisation. It's any phone with a decent camera

No bumps 10 days in. Not concerned either way. I dont pay any attention to the crease.
Same with my second P9P fold
If you have that many problems with it why did you get another one. Seems you just wanted to complain about it. It folds what you expect.
Google ko fold phone banane nahi aata inko Samsung se sikhna chahiye Bezel bahut jada cemra week hai aur multitasking sahi nahi hai

The zFold6 is the better gaming foldable due to the SD 8Gen 3 chip
On here complaining about no4hing
