So many people think they have to create these crazy intense masterpieces in their sketchbooks and forget it's OK to keep it simple when you don't want to be intense and just need to get something down on a page. I absolutely love these sketchbook videos. They’re bringing g me back to a place where I can start doing art again. Right now I’m pretty much copying what you do, but that’s how we learn things anyway. It’s how we learned to talk! Copy something first, and then later what you do becomes your own.

The investigation from the FTC is literally just over (btw, BetterHelp was "found guilty", to keep in short in a sentence.) and now they are back on youtube getting a sponsorship with about every content creator i watch...
Normally under those videos is someone commenting a nicely worded comment, about how the TH-camr should to better research, but honestly??? For me it comes down to two things. The creator honestly doenst care, or the money is just that good.
(btw, i know this comemnt might get some hate, but it is just how I feel. I get that sometimes money is an important issue. can be for everyone. Am I kinda glad, that BetterHelp sholvels the money into marketing, therefore "loss" some money? Sure, but that isnt enough of a "well, at least". Not with BetterHelp and when it comes to Mental Health.)

I’m a therapist and signed up w Betterhelp and within 4 months I deactivated my account. Reasons are as follows:
1. BH advertises that therapists are available via text and email 24/7. (Boundaries 101)
2. They offer counseling thru any format, regardless of whether or not it’s appropriate for the client’s presenting issues.
3. Better help does not concern itself with the ethical implications surrounding geography. I am licensed in the state of Texas, I should not be getting clients from North Dakota.
I'm not an 'artist' as such but have learned so many tips & tricks from you that I can create cute little artworks by sketching a simple flower with a little grass and a ladybug and make the whole thing pop by adding a checkered background or shading an oval area behind it etc. Thankyou for all your inspiration and encouragement. 🩷
So glad I'm able to watch this video today cuz after 2 years I'm going back to drawing/painting again. Your videos are so helpful to me and I'm so grateful for that. Btw, I love the whimsical mushrooms 🍄🎉🤗💕

One similar to the window one that I enjoy doing is keyhole scenes, it’s fun. Also drawing the teacups is fun. So relaxing.

I love when you do pages in a book. I find it relaxing to watch and inspiring. I bought the arrtx simptap paint pens because I watched you work with them and loved it. I would like to see more mini paintings too or paintings that are approx. 4x4 size, 4x6 etc. More characters like that adorable little raccoon in a sweater that you painted. That one was just too sweet to handle!

My favorite is the mushroom sketch, SO cute! I really appreciate your positive outlook and just the overall vibe of your videos. I doodle also but I always have these long periods of no inspiration. No inspiration = no creation. For some reason I have this mental block of if my sketch isn't impressive, if it's not really good, then don't do it. It's sad and completely wrong to feel that way because it prevents me from having fun, like you do. Your videos spark the want to pick up a pencil. You inspire me to wing it and to most importantly relax and have fun while doing so. 😊

I loved the mushroom one. One of my many hobbies is making miniature scenes, and I have now been inspired to make a series of magical mushroom scenes in mini bell jars. So many ideas, so little time, lol.

Another great video thank you Mira. I have never thought to use coloured crayons over markers so plan to give this a go. I am also going to treat myself to a little sketch book just to use when in front of the tv and chilling.
I really enjoyed all your inspiration today. Especially the way that I feel I can just go and use your ideas to create myself whilst not feeling too over powered by the art work. I especially loved the mushroom piece. So much amazing fun and whilst dark it was in a moody and lovely way.

I appreciate your explanations and examples to show color theory. I like to make art but did not, ever, learn about color theory except through watching other artists create. You might think it is elementary to say yellow and blue make green, but you are right. Seeing it is different than just hearing it. I think its great that you dont assume everyone is at the same level. I dont feel like im dumb for not having had art education, its just different things for different people. Love the ribbon ! ❤🎉you are the best and LOVE the hair!!
I love the frog and the mushrooms so much! I don't have markers but I think how you layer pencil over the top makes for a beautiful smooth effect and so no doubt one day in the future it will tempt me to buy markers haha!

Hi mira, I've been watching your videos for eight years now and I just have a quick question to ask.
You I've been a artist for 34 years and realism is my favorite style of art but there is one type of art that I've always wanted to do and never could really learn how I've always wanted to illustrate my own books and it's the only thing I really struggle with in my art journey

I think it might be helpful to do the "rules" of painting videos. Keeping it fun and not so long and dull like so many others have done. Color Theory, Composition, Placement, Background, Shadow and Light, etc. All those things that can make a painting look better. I have tried to watch other videos like those and I can't make it 5 minutes. Those videos usually are so long, some 2 hours! I have ADHD and those technical videos cannot keep my attention. I think you could do a better job of it.
They are not made just for you. That’s why it’s hard for TH-cam artist to get views on longer videos cos people with ADHD can’t watch that long. As someone with ADHD I support whatever it is.
