Magick is when something works when it shouldn't work
Thing is, chaos magick sounds far worse than alien mind control.
      Yeah?

First I want to say that you were very fair to us, moreso than most non-practitioners who attempt to grok what we do. The only thing I'd add is that some of us are very aware of the psychological implications of our magick and a few don't believe in magick at all. To those of us who follow the psychoemotional model, the pageantry and pomp is all a way to shortcut past the conscious mind and directly manipulate the unconscious. That's what I do and it transformed every aspect of my life.

@@slickandslaycious6579 gravity does not exist. It is the faux force that is perceived because of the way spacetime has a curvature around accumulations of E=mc^2. Or to put this alternatively, if you were standing on a basketball court and threw a basketball at the hoop, in that instance we got rid off all the electromagneticism (except the ball)while retaining its energy in its mass, the earth would shrink to the size of a point, the ball would orbit that point return exactly to the point it started without any application of force. It is in an inertial reference frame. Newton confused the noninertial reference frame created by electromagnetism as the reverse of the force of gravity. Thus instead of gravity accelerating you at -9.8 m/sec^2, electromagneticism is forcing you upwards a 9.8 m/sec^2, when this fails degeneracy occurs and if if sufficiently large a blackhole.
We call something quantum gravity, though it’s theoretical, it’s actually quantum spacetime, that is the putative interactions of spin 2 quantum particles the constitute spacetime.

When someone criticizes me i now lean into it - i first agree with them
If it sounds snarky i say it again until it sounds legit - after it "sounds" legit it starts seeming legit in my head
In this way i am able to embody many personalities with many flaws - this may sound unhealthy but it becomes a removable "shield" instead of a "wall"
The chaos is my ever changing view i hold of myself - i become many many things instead of a rigid set of "rules"
I try and hold competing "perspectives" and use each view when appropriate without losing "myself"

This seems similar to the "New Thought" ppl aka the "positive thinkers". The idea that "all is mind" plays into this too. There was a New Thought Christian minister, rev Robert Shuller that wrote a book on *Possibly Thinking* that suggests techniques of how to see one's world differently; with possibilities rather than w anxieties. There seems to be some overlap.

A really interesting summary and certainly explains some of the power of chaos magic. What would be interesting for a follow up video would be explore how these combined effects affect the real world and so make that crossover from a psychological self-deception/enhancement to a repeatable phenomenon with actual effects.
Dr Richard Wiseman’s The Luck Factor explores some techniques that possibly crossover that divide. I’m sure there must be others.

This is such a great video. Chaos magic really resonates with me in the sense that the larger universe seems so chaotic until we start to see patterns and build frameworks out of them (think mathematics).
If we have the ability to perceive order out of chaos then it seems to me that not only can we apply these perceptions to describe what already exists, but use them to create from them as well.
I always think about it like this: the universe is the chaotic whole, and is also the fabric with which we're able to interact with and build from.
To me it's a beautiful, simple, and empowering concept: the universe is chaotic until we find order and if we can find order in the chaos, then it stands to reason we could create order from it as well.

"Magical Ritual Methods" by William G. Gray, first published in 1969, has all the ingredients of Chaos magick, such as contructing a cosmos. In other words, he was one of the first people, apart from Spare to explicitly view a magical system which one could construct from scratch, as a spell in itself.
NLP's techniques of anchoring, being a system of single-trial learning, & pacing have much in common with contagious & imitative magic. One could almost suggest that the latter are unconscious expressions of the former.
My own view at the moment is that the large scale unobserved is also quantum & equates with Kant's noumena, which is hyperdimensional.

From the perspective of yoga psychology, the symbolic implantation of magical commands into the subconscious not only influences behavior and perception, but can be understood as implanting a karmic seed in the causal body, which is part of an interconnected causal matrix that creates waking reality as a collective projection of everybody's karma in a similar way to how the subconscious projects individual dream-experiences.

Something I've been really interested in is focusing on the manipulation of cognitive biases in ritual magick. Things like the Placebo effect, Rhyme-As-Reason, and all kinds of other well defined and documented Cognitive Biases seem rife with opportunities. I'd argue some are already doing this unknowingly or otherwise, Song is quite common in rituals, and rhyme-as-reason is often at play there. But there are some cognitive biases that are a bit more complex and nuanced, but nearly omnipresent in humans.

I don't understand why some rich person hasn't become your full time patron yet. It'd be super useful to be able to have someone who can research all the weird stuff that doesn't get considered but has an impact on things. 🍥
The problem with Orch OR by Penrose/Hameroff is that they don't think consciousness extends beyond the body. Even though it's quantum in nature, it's still too grounded in the incomplete physicalist paradigm. In order for chaos magick to be real there has to be a system of mind beyond body. A parapsychological ecosystem. Configurations of matter must be considered an antenna of some sort, which is totally doable because everything is energy anyway. There must be something like non-material life from our perspective and we just have life defined wrong because of cognitive biases arising from our evolved forms. 🤷

My understanding is Penrose’s quantum brain theory doesn’t really pan out because there are a couple orders of magnitude in difference between quantum flux and neurochemical reactions. The same way quantum features wouldn’t tell you much about how to solve a jigsaw puzzle. We’re all a big soup of quarks but there are emergent structures that arise with scale whose properties overrule those of lower phenomena. Or so I read somewhere lol

Some people (Rosicrucians) even believe the universe is a mental construct. Imagine everything you can accomplish with sigils then 🤫

Could you look at the very specific chaos magician group of Erianism? I believe that through the personification of chaos as the Greek goddess Eris, these chaos magicians accidentally revive Greek fluid polytheistic thought. After all, one prays to a god only when their input is necessary, or they live subconsciously in your mind, like Athena whispering in oddiseu's ear. 🌀🌀
Theses chaos magicians then would not form attachment to beliefs, but for the belief in Eris. (Curiosily there is a mix up, as they think of Eris as goddess of chaos, when she would be more like "envy", but there is a kind of envy in chaos magic: "how dare they believe in such a ritual ? I would never believe that!" )

I think Jesus said that the faith of a mustard seed could move mountains. This falls inline with the idea of the mind impacting reality along with many other religious lineages such as Buddhism etc. 🌀
