Question: should I disconneft the battery before removing the sensor? Then once new sensor has been install reconnect the battery and turn on the car? I see you didn't just want to be sure. I appreciate the video.

I put in a new air filter a week or so ago, and got the P0101 engine code 2 days ago. Guess I better check to see I didn't disturb the wire harness going to it, when I changed the filter. Probably wouldn't hurt to make sure gas cap is on properly. I know in some cases, that can trip this code. Thanks for the quick video.

Supposedly the computer has to be reprogrammed as well and only nissan dealerships can do it, otherwise the code consists and won't clear properly

I did that and can’t get the code to clear. I disconnected the battery, no luck. I ran the car on idle for 30 minutes…. No luck. Any suggestions?

I currently have the same problem. Replaced it and reset the way I could, still popping up as a problem and the engine light won’t go away. Did you find a fix? The little research I’ve done says take it to a dealership :/ I’d really not like to do that.

Having the same issue! I don’t want to reset it at the dealership either so any recommendations besides taking the battery out?

@@larissaguerra6922I have a buddy who works at an auto zone and he reset the lights for me the “correct” way and it indeed turned them off and they haven’t been back on. So it looks like the fix I did on the car worked fine - but the car is set to not indicate so unless you take it in. Lame!

@@MrTaybob42 yes so mine after i changed the air mass sensor my mechanic friend found a crack/rip in the air intake hose… Nissan doesn’t even have this part on the ready so lucky he electrical taped it up until the part gets in. Still no problem with tape sealing the leak

Do you still think it was the MAF or just the hose? I've read so many things about how the check engine light can be tripped by a whole bunch of items. just dropped a couple hundred on a new sensor, but don't feel like dropping more if it's not actually causing the issue. @@IToldYou2Sit
