Kingdom Death is by far the jewel of my gaming collection and damn near a hobby unto itself. I received the core last year for my birthday, and since then I have gathered up every single piece of content that I could for it, from every little white box to purchasing the blackest bundle on black Friday. I haven't played near enough hours yet, but I'm already excited for what's to come.
Alternate Title: Cultist relives his Initiation (Altar Unboxing) Seriously though this game seems amazing, if only it wasn't so brutal for any character I might make for it, and more importantly wasn't so devastating to my wallet.

Damn, it's been so long since I saw the bottom of the box. I have a Kickstarter 1.0 with the 1.5 Update. I recall it as being an unrelenting black box which reminds me of the Monolith from 2001: A Space Odyssey.

I know this is the 1.5 version and have heard about a 1.6 update for several things. I just want to know if the core box will ever be updated to maybe a 2.0 in the future or will it always be a 1.5 version that I will have to buy update packs for?

The 1.5 is the official version and will be the core for many many years - no telling if it gets a reprint or a 2.0 - but I don't think it is likely! I think they move onto a new game by the time this series and expansions wrap up!

I really love this game but all my friends hate it because it's so luck based. They don't get that it like a arkham horror game where you're not suppose to win and each fight is suppose to be to the down to nail about to win. It feels like sim city meets monster hunter in a super dark and gritty world.
It can have elements of Luck - good and bad - however I find that the deeper you get into the game the puzzle becomes how you manage of mediate that luck. I do understand why some people don't enjoy it though!
First - I have a third in Kentucky with all the expansions :) - second this was purchased to unbox on the channel and go into this beautiful wooden box! :D So no worries - the children still have KDM I’ll open it with them when they are 7 . . . Maybe
