Just cause it’s outdated doesn’t mean it’s not great. There’s literally nothing wrong with sequoia. They haven’t changed it because it works even to todays standards. The only thing is the touch screen but even that it does the job of playing music etc. If you want CarPlay just install it yourself.
Honestly I would buy a Sequoia, I think it’s beautiful! Also, Toyota holds their value big time, I had a friend who had a 2004 Corolla with 198,000 miles and sold it for $1,760 about 1 year and a half ago and my uncle had a 2006 Toyota Tundra with 265,000 miles and he got $7,000 in 2015
Exterior Design is always personal preference, I like it. The Interior is outdated (I think the Limited looks better), but it's an old design (like every Toyota truck right now). It's durable, really reliable, can tow and is relatively cheap compared to rivals.
I’m liking Toyota’s new headlights :) and Grills somewhat ! I think if they straighten out the headlight a bit and maybe make the grill more rectangular it would Look dope . The sequoia’s rear lights should also be re designed for next year ( 2021) . Toyota needs to update the climate control knobs also with the Tundra . Maybe update the Screen for Apple car play like the Ford ( maybe not the same design ) but make it fancy :) also make them v6 because that gas mileage is horrible . You California’s paying 4 dollars for gas !! Also re vamp that key control .. Toyota have the Sequoia / Tundra price drop please . You guys need to be realistic .. 60 thousand for a vehicle ? 40 thousand more that’s 100,000 .. average American makes 12-18 dollars an hour . When they make minimum wage 30 dollars an hour than ok raise the price but this SUV and Your tundras should be 22,000 dollars . All that fiber class is cheaper than real steel that they used in the 1940-1990 vehicles. Plus you guys buy your fiber glass by bulk .
$63,000!! Interior looks cheap. Was it all hard plastic? No power tailgate? Maybe you could run the vehicles you review through the dealers car wash. I didn’t like that you left snow on the SUV. You should show the vehicles in their best light, meaning clean. Besides that, good review as always. 👍
That's what put me into a Limited - the Platinum has a console. If you carry a lot of gear, you're down to 4 seats - kind of pathetic for a car that big.
Same exact engine. 3 rows of seats. Same reliability. It’s a fair comparison IMO... Both get horrible MPG. Both haven’t seen a significant update in >10 years. 3rd row of Sequoia in more spacious and when folded down way more room than Landcruiser (due to folded seats intruding).
@@jayjewett4260 The Sequioa is more a family hauler and can tow a lot. The Land Cruiser is substantially smaller (third row is practically not usable), more off-road ready and way more luxurios.
The Sequoia looks really nice but, the only thing I have to hate about this is the interior it's really dated. And this Sequoia basically a refresh with the TRD trims and the new headlights and grill. The only thing they should have really change was the tail lights it's basically the same taillights from 10 years ago and that's a huge disappointment. I hope they redesign it and next couple of years.

They had to save money somewhere - and saved it on the interior. Some of that plastic is of a grade I haven't seen since the 1980s. I don't dislike it - I own my second Sequoia, but ugh, that plastic.
It still has bulbs in the back. Why would anyone buy a car for new car prices that is already 5-10 years old before it even arrived on the lot. My E90 from 2009 looks 5 years ahead of this thing...

Reliability and Simplicity. I have a 2008 sequoia and I can’t imagine driving any other suv
