Gabriel is voiced in video by the actual voice actor of Gabriel in the game, who is a massive voice act shitposter on TH-cam and enjoys voicing Gabriel so much he usually does it for free and even rigged a VTuber model of Gabriel to play Ultrakill in character as Gabriel. Gianni Matregano is one of those people that I wouldn't be surprised is an extra background voice in Genshin, but I would be surprised if he didn't get a playable character role by now with his talent.

Also, this is probably one of the few games Maxor has covered where the actual gameplay is about as chaotic / fast as his editing; ULTRAKILL is absolutely wild.

And yes, even so, Ultrakill moves at about the pace of his editing at times, which makes these vids even better

Maxor's videos are a thing to get used to. You eventually learn to understand his comedy and editing style. And trying to understand everything your first watch is either suicide or will make you pause the videos a good hundred times. Fun fact: the voice for Gabriel here is his actual VA and a professional voice actor, Gianni Matragrano. He's voiced in a few videos with Maxor because he's just as much of a sh*tposter.

In case you didnt know, Ultrakill is based on Dante's Inferno so thats why we are constantly going further down into hell and the game itself, as weird as it sounds, can go about as fast as his editing.
Another thing I like about Max0r is how he and the guest VA's aren't afraid to laugh at the jokes in the script lol
I think it's more like it's impossible for them not to laugh, but yeah, it just adds to the funny

I loved that part where Gianni ( gabriel's actual VA ) said "ITS ULTRAKILLING TIME!!" and then ultrakilled all over the place
What's funny is that the game actually has the puzzles, spook maze, crash bandicoot, and visual novel bit. Punching your own bullets started as a bug, but it was so loved that the developer kept it. It's hard to let that sink in until you see the next video.

Max0r is affectionately referred to as a living computer by his community since his editing should be impossible yet he makes it somehow. The Ultra Kill videos are like the peak of his editing, the older the video the more linear and easy to comprehend they are. Cannot recommend his content enough.

The Max0rian style of editing is psychotic at best and absolutely incomprehensible on first viewing at worst, but we love it all the same.
If you continue reacting to his vids I'd recommend his somewhat older Incorrect Summaries, such as his Ace Combat 7 or Metal Gear Solid 3 videos, as they're slightly less overedited than his more recent ones (ULTRAKILL, Elden Ring, etc.) and are thus built more for human beings
The best part is that this isn't even as insane as max0r can be. He can edit even crazier
And since everyone else will probably say it: Gabriel's VA in the video is Gianni Matragrano, Gabriel's VA from the actual game and he really does say "you insignificant FUCK" after you beat his ass
Honestly if you do watch another Maxor video his Genshin Impact, Metal gear solid 3 and First two ace combat videos are much more tame than his modern one I feel like they are a good gateway to his stuff.

Guess its like either you have to have some oppressive adhd to not care or like me you can just absorb a lot of information and binge watch shit. Like I can just watch a whole extended edition LOTR movie without breaks aside from bathroom obviously or food obviously.
For practice, I watch the tunnel scene in Tom and Jerry: Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory over and over again in different speeds...with full audio. And then, play the actual tunnel scene in the OG Willy Wonka movie in 2x speed simultaneously with the cartoon version.
Then I play Honkai and go into an "average session", which is seizure-inducing animation abuse until my brain starts frying from all the flashing images on my screen. After that, I'm in the perfect mood to enjoy Max0r's uploads.

Max0r is both inspiring and terrifying as an editor; inspiring in that he creates some of the most batshit insane videos on the platform, but terrifying in that he creates some of the most batshit insane videos on the platform. It took me 5 hours the other day to edit a 30 second bit, I can’t imagine editing a 20-30 minute video with this kind of editing and rendering in it…

I just realized something. Max0r’s editing style is an actual real life electronic warfare technique. Noise jamming involves barraging the enemy’s radars with dozens of false signals until the display is unreadable, and that’s basically what Max0r does. He is hitting you with electronic warfare in the form of editing.
Ultrakill is extra crazy for Maxor's videos because it is a first-person shooter dialed up to 150. The other games where there are third person characters and better graphics, it is much easier to keep up, but it never gets "easy" for any of us still
Maxors Editing is.... Unique. A lot of folks cant handle how much shit he spits at you.
Hes VERY funny when your brain catches up to his clock speed however. He has a lot of little secrets and references you can spot hidden all over his videos.

Ah, max0r, the man who fused with his editing software. His elden ring videos give us glimpses of how his videos look like on his editing program. Even for me, a lad with no experience editing, it looks like fucking hell.
I, a lad *with* experience editing, can reliably inform you that it is likely *even fucking worse* than you imagine.
Whenever Max0r shows a screenshot of his editing software, you’re only actually seeing the first layer. Those “segments” represent video and audio clips, and most of them aren’t “stock.” He recorded, extracted, cropped, photoshopped, distorted, and tweaked pretty much everything except the Taco Bell dong.
Also, take note of the rows. They’re mostly arbitrary-tools to make it easier to modify individual clips. Usually you can get away with only 4 of them: two each for overlapping video and audio. When he showed that screenshot in the Elden Ring vid, I *couldn’t count them.* Not at a glance at any rate. And there was no “negative space” to speak of, indicating that that MASSIVE SPRAWL was the most efficient it possibly could be.
I could go on. That one screenshot was basically a Russian nesting doll of editing pain, and I completely believe him when he says shit like “it is 4 in the morning” or “thank you thank you I spent 4 days editing that.”

if you'd like a better understanding of what exactly this video was about I can't recommend enough Rata's video on Ultrakill, it's actually possible to understand and it's as funny while giving you a great overview of the game (and it's still filled with meme, Rata is the guy who created the "morbin' time" meme after all)

So Maxor videos are fun, they're also incredibly quick, it's kinda his thing. I'd recommend finishing ultrakill pt 2 before moving on. But if you want some more easily digestible ones, The Metal Gear Rising Revengance pt 1 & 2, doom eternal and mevil may cry ones are some of his best and are a much slower pace compared to this. Would recommend the Metal Gear Rising Revengance ones as a start point personally.

If it makes you feel any better, I've watched Maxor's video about 8 times now and I'm no closer to understanding Ultrakill, it has this neat little feature where your brain automatically deletes the video from your memories after you watch it in order to preserve sanity.
