As an international student living in Beppu, I've been fortunate enough to visit all those places and I absolutely love the ice cream shop. We university students usually call it the "old man ice cream" shop. Really nice thick flavor. Anw I'm about to graduate. Gonna miss this lovely town :(
If I am ever fortunate enough to visit Japan, I definitely want to go to Beppu. What a fascinating town! The hot springs and mud holes are so amazing. The steam escaping everywhere was so wondrous. Usually I can say what my favorite food is that I would love to try, but I couldn't this time. All of the food looks so delicious and attractive. I loved how the food was cooked using the steam from the hot springs. Thanks for another fantastic video!
In Italy, they sell gelato, which the west calls ice cream, but gelato is very different in texture and flavour. Gelato has a kind of springy, stretchy texture that’s smooth and rich in flavour. Pistachio gelato is one of my favourites! After gelato in Rome, plain old Aussie ice cream can’t compare.
The cat is so pretty, and the meowing is typical siamese, lol. I always love the food videos, both of you just make everything look so delicious, and then I just want to eat everything you have tried. Such an awesome video, thank you for taking us along, Bye for now
I like the place, would love to visit it!! And wait. Chestnut ice cream????? I need to find this somewhere at home, I'm craving this now lol! Thanks for your videos and take care!
Ohayo boys! Bucket list! Oh my gosh!! Beppu looks absolutely amazing! I’m enjoying this series of videos so very much! I love how the steam is just coming up everywhere around Beppu! I especially love how so many different food items are cooked utilizing the steam. The seven different hot springs were awesome.....reminded me of visiting Yellowstone as a child. The reimen that you boys had looked so interesting. I have yet to try any “handmade” noodle dish. The gokuraku manju and the steam pot-oh my! I absolutely LOVED the music you chose for that segment and I loved how healthy the treasure box was! To this day, Japan has THE best とうもろこし, I have ever tasted. Brother Shinichi and brother Satoshi, please please do a cooking lesson on Toriten! I would love to add that into an obento box for my boys. Domo Arigatou! Hontoni Domo Arigatou for all of your hard work! I love our TabiEats Family and always look forward to your AH-MAZING videos! ♥️
Thank you guys for visiting and touring another place I'll never be able to visit. The sulfur in the air would kill my poor lungs. I can't get over how delicious everything looked. From the pudding to the ice cream it all looked dope. I would have been throwing down on that ramen, and the meal you had steamed looked OMG bitchin'. I loved this and can't thank you enough for taking me and the other TabiEats family members on this wonderful tour of Beppu.♥️🤗😚
I agree! Unless I hit the power ball... I live vicariously through their videos and others!! The sulphur smell would get to me too....gas mask time! Lol😅
Sorry to be off topic but does anybody know of a way to get back into an instagram account? I somehow lost the login password. I love any help you can give me.
@Trenton Maverick thanks so much for your reply. I found the site thru google and im in the hacking process atm. Seems to take quite some time so I will reply here later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
Always wondering how Asian constant themselves to the nature and live in harmony for thousand years. Even with dangerous hot springs. Park is wonderful!!!🙌
Hey guys! Hope you enjoy this video of Beppu and the amazing food this place offers. We had a blast trying all of them out! Don’t forget to let us know which dish looked best to you! If you’re new to our channel, we’d love it if you subscribe! We release three videos every week! goo.gl/18SB8p
Also. The music you guys played while steaming the treasure pot made me so emotional. Reminded me of my native American roots Beppu looks so natural and tranquil. If I wasn't disabled I'd of loved to visit.
Beppu's food and attractions is a fresh outlook on what Japan has. The quaint onsen town with its bubbling steam and baths coupled with unusual foods like the ramen and Genova's ice-cream sure begs a visit. Maybe next trip! Thanks tabieats for the video.cheers guys
I was lucky enough to go to Beppu a few years ago. I was totally blown away by how beautiful the city was! And how unique it was! It's quite something to see steam coming up everywhere! And the hells were pretty interesting! Your video brought back such good memories! :)
Good day Sinichi & Satoshi! I'm sooo impressed with the steamed vegies place. Wow!! The place looks so unique and the vegies fresh & delicious! Tq for another great vid guys! I also must make sure I visit the "bloody hell" place next time! Great vid! Cheers! 💜💙
Omg that pudding at the beginning gloomed absolutely delicious! I love the cooking method, how wonderful. Those hot spring ponds are so awesome, I’d love to visit those places
This video was so fun to watch. A variety of food, and loved seeing the hot springs...so beautiful. I love how the steam is used in cooking, and everything looked delicious!
11:54 why do some ppl find it boring? I think it's unique and fun. We can steam our own treasure box which contains healthy goodness. I want to go there whenever i have chance to go to Japan, for sure ✨Thank you Shinichi and Satoshi for always give us good videos ❤
If I could thumbs up twice for the kitty I would. I love cats. Not so much a dog fan. But i watch you guys for the food and cool daiso gadgets. Would love to see more Satoshi cooking in the kitchen videos though. Love love LOVE THOSE.
This was a really great video, loved the cat! I have to say all the food was wonderful but when you were in the Chinese Restaurant I was so surprised to her Dave Brubeck playing. I have a few of his songs on my playlists I use at the barber shop. I like videos like this so much when we see a city in Japan and learn what it is famous for, sties, food and culture.
Thank you Shinichi & Satoshi for taking us on a complete food and sightseeing tour of your beautiful country. I adore you. Satoshi, you really have beautiful eyes and mouth.
The sweet Siamese kitty says, "Keep petting me, daddy Shinichi--please don't stop!" ツ That's how I felt about this wonderful video--I didn't want it to end. Thank you, guys, for once again tantalizing me with such amazing sights, experiences, and flavors.
Looking at some nice dishwares, I wonder if Beppu is famous for pottery. I saw a huge pot in the noodle shop, and the dishes for Jigoku puddings and the small dish at the Toriten place have similar glazes. I am not a potter but all the steam and clay make me wonder because I love ceramics! And, having steam all over the town, Beppu residents must have beautiful skin:) Of course, food, too! No going back after we taste fresh delicious food!
Loved this food tour, you made me hungry as usual Shinichi and Satoshi. The ice cream, was proper Italian ice cream, the pistachio flavour is one of my favourite. Thank you guys
Another great video. It’s awesome to see another town in Japan and Beppu looks like a wonderful place to visit. I truly think your guys several videos about this place is really great to see. It’s different from the usual tourist place people go to (not that there is anything wrong with that)
Thanks for sharing your travels to Beppu. I absolutely loved your walk through the hell valley. Wow, the steam and the water that gets coloured by the clay is so amazing to see! The food also looked so good! Sweet potato ice cream. Chestnut ice cream. Yummy!
oh mo oh mo! Shinichi! You really cracks me up, seconds before at dinner, you said your eyes is heavy and too much food, but you never know...always have room for desserts!! How can you even stop?!! I am so craving for those ice creams now!! Beppu I am coming for you!! Thanks guys!
It's great to watch your vids on my PS4 - VR now, just gets me a little closer to the action!!! Now I'm going back watching some of your older videos too. Wish somebody could come up with Smell-o-Vison!!
Love the music when you got your Treasure Box Steamed from Hell. One hell of a name there lol ...also I think my favorite hell was Ocean Hell... beautiful.
Amazing video again guys! that reiten shop with the television in the restaurant looked just like a living room because of that hahaha. the hell's are beautiful. Only saw it on pictures until now. Hopefully one day I'll see them for real. And then I'll definitely try out that place were you steam your own food. Looks so delicious. And I love the atmosphere of the marketplace. The ice cream looks delicious as well, love Japanese ice cream! I think I would go for Satoshi's combination of ice cream flavours. Although chesnut and if they have matcha are tempting as weel. I sometimes make toriten at home but I imagine this is on a whole other level :D
Thank you! This was so interesting. I enjoyed every minute. The hot springs were so cool (or hot!) and the food all looked fantastic. You were really selling that chestnut ice cream but my vote's for pistachio.
Another mouth watering video! Were the cold noodles served in hot soup or cold? I enjoy and look forward to all your videos but this Beppu series has been my very favourite. Hope there are more and that you can go back there soon.
That steamed vegetables and bun looked so good. I love fresh vegetables simply steamed like that. Yummy. And those puddings. How clever they are to use all that natural steam to cook the food. I'm surprised someone hasn't done something like that here in America. We definitely have the steam vents like Japan.
Great video guys, love these food guide videos. These videos are as good or better than any of the similiar videos you see on the trending tab. Keep up the good work!
I so love watching you two enjoying your trips. The surprise that you both share with each bite of something new is amazing! I have to start saving to make a trip one year to Japan just so I can visit all the places you have shown us.
Wow the hot spring steam food looks amazing!!! The puddings looks so good too!! I have to visit those places too!!! Where did you guys stayed at beppu or where do you recommend to stay around beppu?

This just that there is life in Japan outside of Tokyo and Kyoto.
