- Japan has incredible food even at random pit stops. We found this homey restaurant near Oita airport serving tasty local cuisine. So glad we chose this place for lunch.

This restaurant in Beppu is amazing! I wish I could magically visit it. The food looked so good. I've never seen dango noodles like that. They look so great! The takikomi gohan made me wish I could reach through the screen...and so did Satoshi's shiitake gyoza! The two of you looked so good in the yukata also. They were a handsome design for both of you. I'm so glad you were able to visit Beppu! Sending hugs to you both.

There’s some about going to the airport is always so exciting for me. I love traveling! I have never heard of that airline before. It seems very clean with great customer service! I can’t believe they had an onsen at the airport... pretty cool😄

HI GUYS MY FAVORITE COUPLE GETTING SOME WELL DESERVED REST. SITOSHI U ROCKED THAT BANDANNA U ROCK IT EVEN WITHOUT IT. SINICHI I WISH I COULD SOAK IN A HOT SPRING IT SEEMS THAT WITH AGE COMES NEW FOUND ACHES AND PAINS THAT WERE NEVER THERE BEFORE. I'M FROM NEW JERSEY HOME OF ROAD RAGE AND CRAZY PEOPLE. SINCE GETTING SICK I'M UNABLE TO DRIVE. BEST THING EVER. ( NOT THE SICK PART) NOW I CAN SIT BACK AND ENJOY THE SCENERY WHICH U DON'T GET TO DO WHEN U DRIVE. It is okay to use it as you did, but the karai miso was supposed to go into your soup. My husband is from Kyushu and I know the regional cuisine.

Hi from California! I saw you make chicken burgers today, so I had that for dinner. Also we had fried rice made with cauliflower and green peas. I also cooked mushrooms and onions in ghee.
You should come to Miyazaki while you are in Beppu!

Hi boys! What a great trip! Both lunches looked absolutely amazing! Brother Shinichi, your tomato stew looked so yummy! My okasama used to make a tomato based stew, chock full of veggies, that looked just like your meal, and Brother Satoshi, I never thought to have shiitake gyoza. It looked so juicy. I must try making that when Josh comes home for spring break next month. Thanks for sharing such beautiful dishes in such a beautiful area! ❤️

I like Shinichi's tomato Dango jiru teishoku and Satoshi's shitake gyoza teishoku I miss the food,it's been a while for me..Kotoshi no haru nihonni mata ikimasu.

おはようございます😃私は大分ファンです！宇佐神宮、熊野磨崖仏、両子寺など見所満載ですが食も同じくらいスゴいです。何しろ豊後水道すぐそばですからお刺身美味しいです！そば処でもあり、打ちたてを頂けます。杵築城下散策も楽しみながらとり南蛮頂くのもいいですよ！
ありがとうございます。大分はまた行きたいと本当に思いました。美味しいものまだまだ沢山あるんですね。また今度行くんが楽しみです。いつか2週間くらい九州を車で走り回ろうかと話してるところです。
