You know if there's one thing I like about these Cutscenes is that you can see how much Salieri, Paulie, Sam and so many others cared for Tommy. Is why when he began falling apart they tried their best to help him. They turned Tommy into a different character when compared to the original, but you can still see that behind that bravado and such is still a guy who isn't too sure about himself and his actions. Is why when he begins falling apart, someone always intervenes. Tommy began spending money stupidly, Frank sets him straight. Tommy begins drinking too much, Saleri gives Sarah advice to make him stop before it's too late. And when so much was falling apart around him, he married Sarah, giving him purpose and a reason to keep pushing forward. They cared for Tommy, wanted him to find meaning in his life and not make stupid decisions. But in the end they all made stupid decisions. Saleri got involved with drugs which as we know from Mafia 2 is a massive taboo. Paulie robbed a bank because he thought it would help him finding meaning in his life. Tommy joined in this because he thought Saleri was burning them. And Sam while he owed Tommy and Paulie his life, he went against them for someone who was doing something that was not allowed. And that's not including people like Frank who in this version did what he did because he was tired and just couldn't do this no more. The entire thing began with Loyalty and ended with betrayal. I do agree that the original message is better for this entire thing, but I also do like the new message. Cause Tommy had one thing none of them had or could get. Family.
@@salmonliya It actually makes sense it was the drugs and not the diamonds. Especially since in both the original and the remake, the idea of never getting into drugs was brought up. But the original never followed up on this, just said drugs bad and moved on. The trick is that due to the info we know from Mafia 2, drugs are seen as a no go by the commission. Which in the original was first brought up but never explored till Mafia 2. So more likely than not, they found out about Salieri expanding to drugs and refused to help him out in terms of his prison sentence. (Which as we've seen in Mafia 2, many people within both the commission and otherwise have friends in high places) But due to the betrayal and death of many of Salieri's men, gave the go ahead to kill Tommy once he was tracked down. If they were to go the diamonds route, there's nothing that would completely stop them from getting Salieri a lighter sentence and even get him re-established either in Lost Heaven or somewhere else. Now the argument is this, "In Mafia 1, many of these ideas in Mafia 2 didn't exist yet". This is true, but only in terms of the original Mafia. Mafia Remake takes into consideration Mafia 2 and to some degree Mafia 3's ideas, lore and otherwise. So if it were diamonds, Salieri would not serve a life sentence cause he would get help from the Commission. But because it's drugs and everyone under the commission knows that is off limits, it'd make sense they'd let Salieri rot in prison for breaking the rules.

The scene where Don Salieri & Tommy walk into Pepe's restaurant has to be one of my top 5 gaming cutscenes of all time, look at his presence when he steps in there. The acting was so natural I can't stop watching this scene. 2:15:50
Frank: You remember the other guy in the wreck? Tommy: Yeah he was already dead when we got there. Paulie: What you gonna tell me he’s the president’s nephew or something? Had me dying when I heard that 😂
"I think it's important to keep a balance in things. Yeah, balance, that's the right word. Because the guy who wants too much risks losing absolutely everything. Of course, the guy who wants too little from life, might not get anything at all."
Well, there was no need to extent the wedding speech to the last scene, instead they could added another scene where tommy has a nice lunch with his family and he saying the balance speech just right before they start to eating, suddenly the doorbell ringing, tommy go to open it, then you know vito and joe appears sending saliris regards and leave, tommy lying at his door entrance, family around him while saying that line about the family then die. It's just my view about the last scene. And sorry for English.
@@GabrieLight mmm, while I do think the first Mafia’s speech was better, I don’t think your scenario would’ve worked. Tommy was watering the grass as Joe and Vito pulled up. I can’t see a plausible excuse as to why Tommy would pull out a water hose, begin watering the grass all as Vito and Joe confirm Tommy is Mr. Angelo and proceed to kill him. Maybe right after the speech Tommy remembers he forgot to water a tree or something, goes to the front of the house, turns on the house and drags the hose to the tree or a plant or something and that’s when Joe and Vito come up and say their line.

Mafia 2's no longer my fav, it's this Mafia 1 Remake , Tommy at the end, when compared to Vito at the end of Mafia 2, lived better. It makes Vito look pitiful
It's one of the many reasons I say this all the time. All Vito had to do was stop, be happy with what he had and not be so greedy. But instead he allowed his desire for more, his thirst for the good life and his anger towards those who wrong his family drive him down a path that would lead to his own self-destruction. The only difference is that he always had someone to stop him from getting killed. As much as he resents Leo in Mafia 3, he saved him from both his life in Prison and being the cost of peace for the chinese. Joe saved him from the war and stood by him despite being given a chance to be a Capo for Carlo. Is why when you decide to kill Vito in Mafia 3 and he says this, "I deserved better" it just shows he hasn't learned a damn thing after all this time.
After finishing the game , I enjoyed this story more than Mafia 2 even if I played that like million times from ps4 and xbox 360 but mafia 2s characters , atmosphere and soundtrack is more likable in my opinion

I thought the same thing. They even called Tommy's bank heist outfit 'Public Enemy' which I'm almost convinced is a nod to John Dillinger, since he was public enemy number one during the depression.

You can see where it went south after the 'diamond' job when they split up. He should have known who killed Paulie cause he was probably talking about it to The Don on the ride back after the job. They should have been ready to split with the money immediately.
They should've held off on the Definitive Editions of both Mafia 2 and 3, at least until _after_ they had completed production and QC of this game. But even with the way things turned out, after already so many months since those releases, it's almost 2021, and they still haven't released patches to fix the persistent bugs in both of those games.
Unlike the original, there was a big transition of character for Tommy here, at first his killing he was unsure and like "Should I do this?", the more hits he carried out, he became more confident and a bit ruthless, the sight of blood didn't disgust him so much anymore. By then, he was "I do what the Don tells me to." All this up until the bank job with Paulie, the developers of the remake showed many aspects the previous company who made the first game didn't touch on.
I recently interviewed Andrew Bongiorno who played Tommy, he was so sweet and funny, was a lot of fun. It’s amazing just to hear how much he had to adjust in terms of the way they spoke in the 30s, I admit I was a bit thrown off by his accent when I first heard it in game. Overall amazing story and incredible acting from everyone💗
I frickin love this remake, I never played the original but this just feels like it has every good mafia cliche ever along with new original characters that look amazing. It really feels like playing a mafia movie.
The cutscenes, story, music, and graphics are great, but they really should've worked on it for a few more months and patch up all the gameplay glitches.
There was unfortunately a deadline for release so they will have to release updates online to fix the glitches. Mafia 3 was like that but they patched most of the bugs pretty soon after release

By then, he was "I do what the Don tells me to." All this up until the bank job with Paulie, the developers of the remake showed many aspects the previous company who made the first game didn't touch on.
Tommy Angelo is a great character honestly better then Vito in my opinion, Mafia 1 and 2 are a masterpiece🤩
The conclusion of this game even though there are too many killings and bad happenings is that, family is forever.
When your mom told you to be in bed before she got off of work and she walks in the door and you not sleep: 2:44:06 💀💀
Me running to my room🤣
Hitman : Mr. Angelo
Tommy : huh, I'm not
Hitman : ah, sorry . bye
... end
VITO
I recently interviewed Andrew Bongiorno who played Tommy, he was so sweet and funny, was a lot of fun. It’s amazing just to hear how much he had to adjust in terms of the way they spoke in the 30s, I admit I was a bit thrown off by his accent when I first heard it in game. Overall amazing story and incredible acting from everyone💗
I frickin love this remake, I never played the original but this just feels like it has every good mafia cliche ever along with new original characters that look amazing. It really feels like playing a mafia movie.
these are so handy when you accidentally skip a cutscene. thanks

Few mins in an i already love this remake its a masterpiece
I can't belive Paulie just... Died... :(
r.i.p
Nostalgia hit me hard. 😭
Damn I'm sad and happy cause Tommy is different he's weak and strong, nice but not a bad person I'll miss him.
Watched the entire thing. I find these very relaxing to watch... thank you for the upload! Terrific.
the ending makes me legit upset :(
Never forget there are no happy endings in the mafia that was the original moral
Made me sad when Paulie died
My Favorite: "WELL THEN MAYBE YOU AIN'T LEAVIN' AT ALL!"
Same☠️🤣🤣 along with “we ain’t nothing alike, don’t let me catch you loafing off again” “one day I’m gonna cut your brake line asshole” 🤣🤣
"Remember that money, jobs. even best pals, will come and go. but family? Family is forever"
thankyou for remaking my childhood
Mafia 1 remake is fantastic I love it😍
The characters are incredible. They did a fantastic job with this
3:29:57 great framing. Great scene.
From the introductions i knew Sam would be the one. Loyal to a fault.
The facial expressions/animations for Tommy seem really similar to the priest in Mafia III. The pauses he takes when he talks and so on.
Can we all agree that this game deserves "Defenitive Edition" part more that all GTAs combined ?
Bruh
Without checking, I am willing to bet some money that if you look at the credits, a lot of the people who worked on this game (the original I mean) ended up at Rockstar or one of its subsidiaries.
Love the mafia series. Especially mafia 2.
Aaah, this was awesome. Very well done. I feel like it is a bit of a "throwback" to the first "Mafia" - game.
It's literally the remake of the first Mafia
he looked so happy when he pulled off that gun trick at 1:44:14
*"He can't rough up hard working Joe's in my neighborhood without getting a black eye"* 😭
I really liked this remake, this game was short, but goddamn was it good.
When he said "keep the choppers hidden" oh i felt that
This is definitely the best mafia game. The songs play so much into the story
Those leans during the fights XD
Playing storyline is perfect for mafia 2 and 1 definition not disappointed me thanks to the team

His story starts with a family and ends with a family
"Nothin a cheap comb can't fix"

Every time I use a bat in the game I think about my favorite character and he says this a lot. “Kiryu-Chan!!!”
Like if you know who I’m talking about.
Kiryu aniki!!!! Nah I’m jp, that one eyed freak is the best character ever developed.
Yes✨🤣
I forgot what an emotional masterpiece the end was. So sad.
I always feel like coughing when I hear tommy speakin
I find it funny that tommy is the guy who holds a Thompson properly so he actually lands his shots
Funny how among us is a mafia game
Sam is the impostor
Tommy: someone killed paulie
Sam: i didnt do it it was salieri
Gets voted as the killer
Funny enough, my teacher was talking bout how among us is like mafia and i thought he was referring to this mafia 😂
Thanks, I accidently skipped a cutscene. I'm sure I'll be back again before the game is done.
