Reminded me of the time my JROTC went to a presentation talking about explosives and such. The presentor told the story of some South American police force that was dealing with pipe bombs. What would happen was that terrorists were chucking pipe bombs at the police. However, the bombs were very rudimentary and had a fuze on them, so all they needed to do was pull the fuse out and the bomb was defused. This happened so frequently they would literally be driving down the road chucking defused bombs out of their car that were thrown in. Until one day, a pipe bomb was thrown at the front door to a police station and like clockwork an officer went over and pulled the fuze out of the bomb. Sadly the terrorist noticed what they were doing and added an extra trigger, when the fuzed is pulled out it explodes and this killed the officer. The lesson learned is never be complacent because you never know when they'll change tactics.
