In fact I love her and always did, I just hated how gimmicky and buggy she felt, but after this augment, Loyal Merulina, I loved to be able to play her and have been using her for almost anything as she is my "comfy pick".
Btw I did read on reddit that armor archon shards do buff merulina's armor, making it last way longer, and tried it and I think it actually works as I feel it's way more tanky. However I'm not theorycrafter, so it might be a placebo, but I really do feel it does work.
Oh I will. I got Yareli, Zephyr and Banshee this week for Archimedia. All 3 aren't liked by me, but I feel like Yareli is the one I didn't play at all, so forma'd she goes.
Then there's me who's gotten so used to riding Merulina that playing normal frames feels wrong >_>

Before loyal merulina I feel not thing is wrong with Yareli(cuz she is the first frame I play after a long quiet from warframe) but after the augment came out I quickly realised that I just forget what normal is.

Thank you SO MUCH for this video! I've been a Yareli fangirl since I saw her OG concept, and Loyal Merulina FINALLY makes her the waterbender magical girl that I've always wanted her to be! And I've been in DIRE need of a build around Loyal Merulina, so this came at the perfect time

Something to note about Riptide, that is important to properly making a decision about injecting another ability over it: Any enemy within is considered "killed by cold damage" on death, even if the Riptide's cold damage isn't the actual source of the killing blow. This has very obvious synergy with Archon Flow, for energy orb generation. I can attest from personal experience that it's extremely strong, I basically have infinite energy on her due to this synergy.
So jus use tha over wha he suggested for the same affect bu wi the wonderful riptide instead!!? If so yay!!! I like all of yareli's kit

@thedoomslayer5863 know I'm a bit late bu uhm, yea TnT I really hate that, i want my characters to feel as unique and fun as possible, just being forced to take stuff like nourish is annoying, tbh I haven't gotten tha helminth system and idk if I will, if I do, it'll be at a snails pace as I don't find it tha necessary
@@Yumiaia-26 personally, I've barely touched nourish, the energy gain is often in excess of what you need and the viral damage can interfere with weapon stat distributions. if there was any truly universal crutch in the helminth system, it would probably be Pillage thanks to great defensive use + armor strip. even then, though, it locks off so many cool options that people never explore. Shock and it's augment for Electric DPS, or Tempest Barrage for Corrosive + VIral priming and even good ability DPS on energy surplus frames. and personal favourite, Reave for some really fun one shot builds. there's so much build diversity and yet people keep going back to the least creative options, I don't get it.
Can riptide work with Arcane Ice Storm? Or does it just affect enemies with cold, not freeze them?

The first time I tried her I liked the kit except the 2, I am not fond of k-drive. Then when I heard people saying she's trash I said to myself they do not know how to play her or they do not like her kit. For a week now I decided to go again with her and using Loyal Merulina, doing a steelpath is fun. Farming void angel with her. I use her kit with no change. Did archon with a group and can tell you I was not the one dying.
Literally my favorite Warframe and she finally, after all these years, finally got a skin.
and I loved the skin, just twist the hat and BAM bro, it looks great with light red colors, shades of white and beige it looks beautiful easily!
I made my own build with Yareli using Akarius and just riding around on Merulina and blowing everything up with Akarius. Extreme fun in the open world zones. You ride around doing tricks while everything explodes around you. :D
My favorite frame for this. Was playing with a buddy who is new trying to get into Warframe, and he went down doing a mission and I come hovering up to him and just start doing flips and spins over his dying body killing everything with aquablades. He was like "Did you just-.... WTF is this game?!" Lmao
I've been using tenet plinx with the guardian augment just blasting. lmao, direct hits are like 1.8 mil crits with my mods not fully upgraded
Yareli with gloom can tank at level cap on her Merulina I did a full cap disruttion with her and one other person
I really hate how in 2024 augments are still just what the default ability should've had.
only partially. they always add compensation for the use of a mod slot. also, in this case it isn't really true unless there was another way to get on and off merulina.
I honestly think merulina should just be a passive you can summon from your gear wheel and she should have some ability in that slot that does something different depending on whether you're riding merulina or not.
@@tommydashed4205 it does offer compensation in this case, though. your merulina pet spews out sea snares automatically. also one that isn't mentioned is that you retain the ridiculous i-frames on ability cast, making her 2 a Rolling Guard with no cooldown, which is a pretty amazing survivability tool.
I really wish Merulina was a tap/hold power, one being riding, and one being the new "pet" version, and hope that when Yareli gets a rework they do that (much like Inaros got one of his augments wrapped into base kit)
I been struggling on whether say it or not then I see your comment, that's just what I always thinking about when ever I saw people be thankful to having loyal merulina. The exist of that augment is just a prove to how big the problem is with merulina but most people see it as a cure and be satisfied with it.

Every time there's a "bad" warframe this happens. Every single time.
It took so much effort to get Yareli. Beating the quest. Starting a dojo. Farming all the resources. It was worth it.
the boat should be a hold cast ability, so you can just have it follow you in corridors and ride it on open worlds, that way the augment should just focus on a buff into either choice instead of making the augment be the choice. is a no brainer but my guess is that so little players use her that wf is not interested on giving her a very well thought out rework/tweak. seriously hold/tap marelina would have solved the thing instead of sacrificing a mod slot for that, maybe they will slowly build up to a full rework once her prime drops, im wishing it is a grendel/hydroid level tweak in wich she is consolidated, not jsut goodnough
Despair incarnon is amazing with riptide. I wasn’t the hugest fan of riptide for ages due to it still making enemies trapped still take damage individually but also most AOE weapons launching some enemies out before you can kill them.
When I found out the despair can still do crazy AOE damage to every enemy at once but also doesn’t even let one enemy escape, I knew that was going to be THE weapon to stick to. As a yareli main for a long time now ive become almost a secondary specialist but the despair is the one I say is the best
How it compare to lex incarnon ?
@@UpstageBeast I haven’t used lex incaron yet. After levelling that weapon I have had no desire to pick it up again but the incarnon form does look pretty nice, the only help I can give you here is that the despair is going to be easier to get charges faster to transform the weapon
Same here. I mainly use secondary because of her. My main weapon was akarius but right now I'm using ocucor or catabolyst
I havent tried the new merulina augment. Imagining playing Yareli without being on her board feels uncanny.... plus the other augment is just so good

Merulina isn't that bad with tight corridors. My main problem is that she becomes really tall and hits her head on the ceiling.
You could do all that, or... Run a Galvanized Zymos build with Yareli and watch the room explode in tier 3 crits 😊
Zumos red crit is nice but the projectiles takes a lot of time to find their target
I would personally infuse Nourish on the first ability because with Loyal Merulina you will passively cast sea snares with Merulina, even if you replace it with Nourish
I was about to buy Yareli yesterday after getting a 75% off coupon, instead went for Gyre. Oh well... there's always a next time
The Waverider quest isn't that much of a pain anymore. I finished it in around an hour or so

Finally building Yareli now that Loyal Merulina is out, and I'm wondering if a Viral Tempest build would be good, especially with 2 green shards to fully strip with Tempest Barrage. Just not sure how to build something like that or if keeping higher efficiency would be worth it for more constant Sea Snares from Merulina.
I imagine fully stripping armor and inflicting viral and damage vulnerability, then walking up with Aquablades out would deal a pretty hefty amount of damage; all while keeping a Helminth that fits Yareli's water theme.
I got her as an option for elite deep archimedea, we'll see if i can get myself to level her, forma her, all that stuff. But the -75% duration modifier is brutal.

I've been having a lot of fun with my meme Yareli build where I take Tempest Barrage over Aquablades. Taking up two slots for augments doesn't feel great, but sucking everything into my Tempest Barrage's which full strip and applies Viral has seemed pretty strong. Plus all my abilities are very wet.
It also just synergizes well with the Catabolyst. Grouping enemies for the grenade reload does insane damage.
I was planning on doing that when Yareli finishes building actually! However, I wasn't sure if Viral Tempest would've been better than Riptide or Aquablades considering the ring of Slash damage, but now that you mention Catabolyst which I really want to try out w/ the augment, guess I'm chucking Aquablades for the storm.

With enough practice, Merulina is faster for me than anyone but Titania on most tilesets. Even on the worst ones, i still usually get to extraction first.

I use her without helminth, but if I would use it, the 4th is probably the one to remove.
The Damage Vulnerability only applies one time, once it wears off you can't reapply it again and only the CC applies.

I use to hate this frame so much i never farm her, then i said f it and got her built and i still hated her but when i put that augment on her dear god i fell in love. Thinking how good this frame could be if it was built into her kit and not some bandade mod. She underrated and i did the new dis mission level cap with her and it was a cake walk.
With the augment, what do you think of subsuming over her 1? Do you feel like you still manually cast it a lot? Because I heard some people suggest that, and it kinda makes sense to me if Merulina casts it for you.

Edit: Tested it myself and nope you can only have one Merulina Augment or the other, Can't have both, then again that probably would've been too OP if Merulina could heal itself

Last night i tried her with the loyal meryilina augment and i noticed i was getting the 200% boost to her primary weapon. I was using the Burston Prime incarnon and was going from the normal orange crits to all red crits when her passive kicked in. Tried a few different missions, samething. So i am thinking the augment also also allows primary's to crit harder.
Does it only happen with the new augment?

Idk what everyone has with the waverider quest. I mean to be fair i only started like 4 or 5 days ago but i think it was easy. Also i think i maybee am not that easily annoyed by quests after genshin lul

inaros subsume with its augment can cast inaros 4 without being on inaros and the kavats direct hits can spawn more kavats even from none finishers

Laetum works better for status chance, I'd use crit only for bosses. Also I believe that Yareli's passiv does make the 5th incarnon ability +2000% strength to non-crit useless..

One question. Why Terrify and not Tharros Strike?
Why tharos strike and not pillage? Everyone has their favorite armor strips. Terrify has a better range and circumference of enemies effected, tharos is cheaper to cast but requires 200% strength for 1 cast strip and has 160 degrees of effectiveness. Shurikan needs an augment and pillage 1 cast needs 328 strength with CP aura which isnt too hard to achieve with 268 strength and molt augmented. I wouldn't go with terrify because it doesn't work with acolytes. So for yareli tharos would be a good option with grouping from riptide because you probably won't miss the huge target in front of you. But still I'd go with pillage for the armor and shield strip along with shield gating and big shield return.
@@kevindetwieler9212 Terrify isn't an armor strip, it's an armor reduction. Tharros Strike actually strips, is cheaper, and has secondary perks that aren't disruptive to both yourself and the team. Additionally, since Yareli is all about a high-pace mobile playstyle (regardless of your Merulina augment choice), she'll always be up in the enemy's face for Tharros Strike (further reinforcing it as the better choice). Pillage requires insane amounts of ability strength, far more than Yareli can justify. It's not a good option on most frames in general. I won't even bother responding to your mention of Shuriken.
@@hexerin You can build her for high strength, her 1 is damage vulnerability so more is better. 3 requires very high strength to be useful otherwise it's the subsume spot and her 4 is mainly for cc. She can be built for range or strength as she is quite flexible. 2 casts for pillage isn't a big deal and she has good enough duration that reducing it is an option. Her grouping with 4 doesn't need a long duration and could be used like airburst for a quick cc while casting pillage and a good weapon for fast clearing. Fire blast could also work, idk why I always forget about that one, probably cuz it's 75 and needs 2 casts, expensive. Terrify isn't that annoying, especially with the augment, enemies run in a circle around you and generally don't go beyond 20 meters away. But its not a desirable thing in most cases. Still because of the low cast cost of tharos it is a top choice for sure, right behind pillage.
Yareli's 2 is very strong only if that's no eclipse and bubble also don't work on boss, profittaker, Eidolon which eclipse just don't give a shxt.
Also loyal merulina is actually trade off a lot of benefits from merulina just to make Yareli normal and turn out many people not only buy it but be thankful to have it not because how good the mod is but because how bad the concept of merulina is.

200% crit rate, 200% fire rate for secondarys, good CC and additional dmg multiplier, aqua blades let me cruise through everything thats not steel path and above and kill it as a drive-by AND im fucking immortal. cant remember the last time I died with Yareli.
yes, driving merulina in those butthole-tight grineer corridors from old missions sucks, but most of the endgame content right now doesnt have that. spaces are generous and easy to maneuver.
you just need some practice and know/do 3 things: 1. dont sprint with merulina. its way too fast in most cases, normal walking speed is already about the same speed as a running frame spamming slide/jump. 2. you can adjust your jump height depending on how long you hold the space bar 3. use roll to perform a forward dash thats almost parallel to the ground to launch yourself into spaces you didnt properly hit with a jump.
if you do those 3 things merulina is pleasant to move around on. no slide/jump spamming etc. you DO need to use your brain a bit, yes, but thats really all thats needed.
that way you take away the only downside.

She really is much better than people want to believe. I personally enjoy running her in public sessions and leaving meta DPS like Mesa or Saryn puzzled why a Yareli is 70% of the squads damage
I actually went for a negative duration build with Fleeting. Her 1 and 4 don’t need much duration to work and I replaced her 3 with Pillage to brute force a shield gating style while also reducing armor. Pillage also works with negative duration and thanks to cast my speed you can double cast it to full strip armor when needed.

Ironic everyone went from hating yureli to saying she's the best frame.
I'm so sick of QoL being put on augments. Loyal Merulina should be tap to summon, hold to ride, not costing me a mod slot on a frame that is already struggling.
She’s still trash and I’m not kidding. There may be a solution to her problem but it’s just a band aid. Her ability to do steel path is not a notable feat as absolutely any frame can do this and whether or not they can isn’t the right question. The right question would be how much investment in this warframe does one need to get them to steel path and for Yareli it’s too much for a mediocre return. She’s like gauss done wrong he’s a movement frame like her but all his abilities circle back to complementing his main ability running fast and killing faster. But with Yareli in order to get peak performance you have to throw away the one thing that makes her unique Merulina.
Yareli = Helminth food
This is hardly yareli gameplay in most of these clips yareli is contributing absolutely nothing as you're using busrton incarnon
I've been playing Yareli for years and it's nice to see her finally get some love, though I don't use her new augment that much because Merulina Guardian is such a nice thing to have.

Somethings to point out:
Sea Snare damage buff is affected on eximus units and thraxes even tho there is no animation (Edit: Damage Buff does not affect Demolyst enemies)
Surging Blades is not buffed by Roar so I would highly recommend using Eclipse instead of roar if you're building with that augment
Loyal Merulina gives you Stagger Resistance but NO Knockback Resistance so use Primed Sure Footed/Handspring if you're wanting to deal with fire eximus units
waverider is a 30min quest idk why everyone freaks out about it xD
It took me one year to finally do it and it was more fun than I expected.
