Mag/Excal/Volt Which one?
Volt has an absurdly overloaded kit that you can either invest a lot into or very little and still find a ton of value. SO, Eidolons, Angels, Arbis, Star Chart, Open World, Group and Solo.
Also, Mag and Excal have negative ass. What a crime.

Her Magnetize does Blast Damage, but doesnt apply said Status. Neither does Polarize.

@@agingerbeard I once created a Forum Post to adjust Mag a bit to make her annoying aspects less annoying and actually worth having.
What I found is that the most logical option would be to give Magnetic Procs to Pull and let Polarize refresh the Duration of Magnetic Procs.

@@eliaspanayi3465 yesnt, her Shards are considered weapons, so she could even apply Viral with Nourish.
Her shards have a 50/50 share of Puncture and Slash. The problem with it is, that without Magnetize the odds of her even applying those is so low, you might as well try Punch your enemies to death.
So tldr, yes but it's so oddly specific and weak that I dont even consider it as part of her kit

I think Mag's best Helminth is Breach Surge. Not only does it blind, giving her some crowd control, but the Surge Sparks count as weapon hits in the bubble. The damage over time of Magnetize is every half second and each instance of damage has a chance to create a Surge Spark. It causes a feedback loop inside the bubble that leads to the DoT becoming hundreds of thousands if not millions of damage every half second. The DoT feeds into the explosion damage too. I've hit damage cap with the bubble numerous times. I can link my Breach Surge build if you'd like.
I have a similar Nourish build but I Helminthed over Crush. Because Polarize does nothing to armor stripped enemies I figured that I didn't want to completely strip armor. Nourish also makes the Polarize shards do Viral damage and proc Viral. The Breach Surge build is for solo, Nourish is for team play.

@@User-pz8dv i dont think i can send link here, i tried but my msg was either deleted/blocked or waiting to be accepted by warframeflo so i uploaded 2 really quick videos with my setup, first test is simple ball - breach surge - crush and explosion after, second test is same thing but at the end i stripped enemies outside of bubble, just 1 viral proc makes it dmg cap with 2.1b, or about 700mln dmg on non viral proced enemy
for 3 remaining archon shards just go with anything you want, i really like bubble explosion so im almost neutral duration, more duration is imo for stationary gameplay like survivals or semi stationary like disruption, in that case go with 3x duration shards, you can use also grimoire with either duration or energy regen, your choice, im also using archon stretch because diriga can proc that, if youre running grimoire with energy regen, simply use panzer vulpaphyla becauase as you can se on video just 1 proc makes about 1.5b difference on stripped enemy. also yes, i changed polarize to breach surge since dmg multiplier there works for debris mechanic, not for all affected enemies, armor strip comes from crush, and i dont really need shield recharge because crush keeps me at 1700 overshield anyway, on the other hand pull help with mobs, 1. you can create bubble somewhere near roof/ in the sky whatever you like to call it by simply pulling mobs into air and creating ball on that before they land on the ground, 2. crush immobilize mobs so pull helps with kill per min
and yes, this is pure ability spammer mag, for disruption just use anything that works, glaive, quassus, hunter munition setup, im using heavy attack ceramic dagger and still works XD for acolytes pretty much same, you can use tenet arca plasmor or nataruk with radiation, it will be anyway 1 tap due to viral from panzer/diriga/grimoire, dmg multiplier from breach surge and bubble, armour strip and infinite pierce with nataruk/tenet arca plasmor (keep in mind nataruk needs at least 2 mobs in bubble to hit same target multiple times, tenet arca plasmor will hit multiple times no matter what)
First, "giving her some crowd control" lol. All her skills gives crowd control. Like how stupid is that. Second she doesn't need to blind enemies when she can bubble and not get hit, she can crush and not get hit, she can pull and not get hit. Third, just shoot and you won't need an ability to be used as a weapon. Just use one of the 3 weapons you can equip on your warframe lol. And the dumbest of all is using nourish replacing crush. "Polarize doesn' nothing to stripped enemies". Polarize increases damage dealt to an enemy affected by polarize. So if you crush polarize crush they are dead. If you bubble polarize, crush, they are dead. Literally the sinergy is great between polarize and crush. ANd some people even wants your builds lol.
@@ReallyBadJosy sadly, polarize gives dmg multiplier to debris mechanic, its not global dmg multiplier to all affected by polarize. yeah sure im with you, nourish instead of crush seems really wierd, but back to her 3rd ability, polarize is actually useless compared to breach surge, becuse you dont really need shields (overshield from crush) you dont need strip (again crush) and dmg multiplier works only for debris, on the other hand, breach surge actually gives global (global ish, you know what i mean) dmg multiplier, and sparks from breach surge deals waaaay more dmg than debris from polarize, on top of that breach surge scales bubble a lot faster than debris or weapons youll use. ofc you can use weapons its more like playstyle thing at this point, your choice, but we talking about pure ability mag here and you can easly reach dmg cap with just 3 abilities
To be fair, Excalibur is able to made it from the begining to the steel path, nothing like a "nuke" sure (except for the weapons itself), but all wf works for that, only if we want to do "big explosion/nuke" stuff is when people actually select stuff

Took the nourish build out for a spin and had a blast. I do miss pull for yanking mobs into the bubble but this definitely has a place in one of my build slots.
This helped me a good bit, returning to the game after YEARS, now I’m looking for mag setups lol
Mage is goated but the two things i dont/didnt like about mag as someone who started with her are a) fighting toxic eximus units (i hate them with a passion) and b) that it is really hard to understand her abilities as a beginner. My monkey brain used her for the first like 80-100 hrs of gameplay with just 1 and sometimes 3 after i realised this gave me shields. I didnt understand her 2 because I picked the bow and that doesnt really synergize with that ability. Thank you for the nice video!
Bows very much work with her bubble. The nataruk hits incredibly hard with her bubble. Not sure where you got the bows don't work woth her bubble, but It very much does . Most guns that shoot projectiles will bounce around in the bubble. The kompressa is one of the top of my head that I know doesn't work even though they are projectiles, the bubbles just get pushed away and don't even enter the bubble
If you hate toxic eximus with a passion, may i suggest arcane resistance?
I exclusively play mag with a bow, great feeling to magnetize then one shot an eximus unit.
I use the daikyu, modded for 100 percent crit chance and increased crit damage, it has built in 3 meter punch through, so with a big enough bubble one arrow can room clear.

Back in the day bows were meta with mags bubble because most good bows had better crit than everything else.
You've reinvigorated my love for my starter frame mag, I haven't finished formaing her, but I was just reminded of precision intensity and was like wtf am I using umbral intensify? Maybe I'll swap it back after I finish build her, both hit the 100% fracturing crush armour reduction.
Second but more interesting, I one shot (well it was blender, but one bullet fired) a base acolyte with the mighty seer and the bubble. I fired one shot, was like, wait I forgot to armour... and he's dead, neat. In mid cast he died to the mighty seer. The pope would be proud. I have been sleeping on the bubble.
My og starter mag has norish over her bubble, cos melee, early game it is hard to find one good guns, two reasons to use a bubble, but now I am really enjoying it in steel path ^^
Im just about to get my mag for my steel path but I will do a beginner Steel path build but with these video come very handy will that’s why I like you’re videos you break down how to use every frame in a very good way

One of my favorite tricks in a defense/excavation mission is to pull enemies right to the objective and cast a big long lasting bubble on them, and viol la dead enemies and a bullet proof bubble around the defense point.

I have been a huge fan of Mag for years. I love using the bubble with Penta Secura(Rivened). Pull + Penta Bubble is insane.
Couldn't agree with you more - Mag is a powerhouse and key to her is being active.
I slept on Mag for years, and finally started using her and wow. She is my go to for just damage, damage and damage. I use her a lot for disruption cos bubble and I'm lazy.
If you hate aiming - Mag, need armor strip and don't want to use a helminth and still destroy everything - Mag.
She is just fun to play - energy is the only real issue and lets face it that's not really an issue for later game players. Great suggesting options for newer players to help unleash the Mag-power :)

I am such a Mag main that i had three Primes of her on my main PC account, and after murging my Xbox with my PC (thanks to the cross safe release) i now have 4 Mag Primes.
One mage is something of my main, especially for the story missions (I quite earlly on fount my core aesthetic and color scheme), which leans mosr on Magitize buils (and has a fun Greedy pull build).
The next two from my PC only days have more niche build focuses (foci?). One leans more on Counter Pulse, the other not only leans on Fractureing Crush, but im trying to set this Crush one to be my Mag option vs infected (who has toxin and don't have armer nor ahields).
Im struggling with my Xbox newbie Mag Prime in what I want to do with her. I might use that one for the Nourish, Breach Surge, and/or Blood Alter related builds. Any idea would be helpfull, espeshilly if i put one of those Helmenth abilities onto my Main main one.
I dont clame to be an expert in anything much, but i am always willing to give pointers to new players to the whole game about mag (and in general), but also help other veterans that are just starting or struggling with Mag. Regardless, I like looking at videos like this so i can see other main of Mag's views on our girl, and to see if their is a nugget of new information about her i did not know.
On that note: while this video did not expectly mention this, but I heared from another video that Magnetize stop pulling in none targeted/new enemies into the bubble once the main target/"host" enemy dies. However in my personal observations during my own gameplay (and not in the simulator), the bubble pulls enemies in regardless of the state of the original target, so i am not sure where the "stop pulling enemies in" bit comes frome. Any information on this bit would also help.

i usually use mag with breach surge to multiply the damage of the second ability and more crowd control, it is super fun if you want to try it
I constantly use mags magnetise ability to literally trivialise junction bosses, just pop a magnetise bubble on them and they can't even hit you, then just dump an entire rifle mag into the bubble above them for an ez kill
My go to frame for void cascade. I run secondary focused builds abusing Secondary Outburst. Her 1 pulls tons of enemies setting them up for ground finishers, enabling easy stacks of melee crescendo. Not sure if this will work after the jade shadows update, as they are changing the way ground finishers work.
for gaining shield back polarize vs crush without castinig speed: crush is instant. polarize u have to wait till the end of the animation for the shield to come back. (forget the name of youtuber but the video is titiled somehitng like how not to die as mag or survive with mag) once pointed out changed how i played with her
did u mention the " X {?} damage" on both magnatize and polarize that scales with strength? (think x2|x3 respectively) . tho not entirley sure what the number actually implies

when i started warframe, i knew i was a volt player but i said lets switch it up and i went with mag. had alot of fun with her 1. cut to when i got a pc. i went with volt. yes i am a volt main but mag is still fun to use, been going ham with her 2 and nataruk making a buncha glowing orbs

I feel like this was a sign for me who recently got Mag at MR 11, mostly because I want to have a magnetic progenitor for my next Kuva Nukor for fusion. Especially with the magnetic buffs coming up. I was honestly going to use her for that exclusively, but i might have to see if she can be more than I thought. The armor strip and shield gain look really nice.
She is so worth the investment.

Mag was my starter warframe when this game first launched in PC; then i got mag prime in 2015 but for some reason, my profile says that her nonprime version is still my overall top used warframe even though i havent been using her.
I built my Mag Prime based on Tactical Potato idea using Elemental Ward (Electric) from Chroma ability with Archon Stretch + Tauforged Topaz shard to gain Shield + Energy regen! (You can have your sentinel deal Blast status and still works)

Just FYI you only need 115% power strength to full strip with her 4 if you are also running corrosive projection. Just use a Red Tau shard to cover that and that gives you another mod slot. Great video.

I love Mag got into the game again after my steam account got hacked and lost my Voruna and now i am Mag Prime main on PS5 and she feels so nice to play.
you can swap equilibrium for energy nexus bc it uses less energy and also is multiplied by nourish and you can also remove energize for a different arcane and to use less energy you can invest in more range or efficiency (to strip armor for a larger area)

For more survivability u can stay in the bubble but not in the middle and u can't get shooted only effects can hit u

I had issues with Mag survivability when I started playing her more so I added Resonator to her 1. It kind of stuck afterwards. Now I use big range bubbles and resonator CC grouping up and CCing mobs and often marching them to bubbles or setting up bubbles for me.
HI man i run Mag with breach surge instead of her 1 and with 90% duration + molt efficiency giving decent duration.. than 160 efficecny to spam cast abilites but can be changed for streamline in order to get more duration.. than 235 range with overexted and stretch but it can be changed for Augur reach to get her more strenght and make the armor strip instant beacuse with my build she has 84 strenght paired with Molt augmented reaching exact strenght to fully armor strip :D the brach surge bubble combo makes on the detonation insane nuke in the millions..
if u r interested in trying it out: primed cont, fleeting ex, overextend, stretch, rolling guard (flex), umbral inten, stretch and two augments :D love ur vids and would love to do some lvl cap runs with u sometimes

I am trying to get back into it with my old account and I'm having a really hard time becuase I've forgotten everything about the game.. i think im master level 5 and was just about to start the Second Dream.. Factions mostly (ex:Red veil, Perrin sequence) if you’re looking for a specific mod, check their offerings section. The mods for warframes unlock for purchase at level 5 of said faction, so be sure before you start the grind.

My main build is running breach surge over her 1 with large range and duration its quite nice since the surges instantly get pulled in to the bubble multiplying damage ludicrously and her 3s shards also proc the surge which means its a build that doesnt require weapons, credit doesnt go to me but to my buddy

I'm new to mag and with the altar setup 90% of the time I use magnetize on the altar it only suck enemies and not my bullets at all and visually see no bubble around the altar either??? any help on whats happening?
I don't know the exact causes myself, but the visibility of the bubble is something I have observed and I have yet to even try the Blood Alter combo at all. Trying to this, and I'm spitballing here, but it may be because of how and when the bubble is applied to a target, like when an enemy is in a turret and dies, or even, possibly, when the enemy dies just after the bubble is applied. But given that, I would at least expect to be at best halved visibly because another ability is already affecting the same enemy, which can also happen seemingly randomly as well.
What I have described so far are mainly visual glitches and don't really affect the actual mechanics of Magnetize. However, I have absolutely no clue as to why is may at best seem like the bubble is not attracting (your) bullets. I have not really noticed either way, but I don't think there is much, if any, visible que for what hit scan weapons. (For those that don't know, but hit scan in this context basically means the game does immediately applies damage to an enemy the cross hairs is near or directly pointed at at the proper pull of the trigger, and thus the gun doesn't use slower projectiles that then do the damage after some travel time.)
Quick question what’s the focus school
I myself have not really explored all the Focus Shools, but it seems to me to largely depend on your overall build's needs and your energy economy. If you feel that equilibrium (or energy nexus) is not doing enough, and you don't have or don't want to use Nourish Halminth or Death Cube (Prime) and it's energy giving precept mod, then Zenuric (spelling?) is a good default.
does magnetize even work on enemies affected by blood altar? ive been trying to use the build but it doesnt seem to work
I have yet to try this myself, but it may be something of an accuracy problem with bleached up enemies. This may be why other users of this interaction Pulls enemies up at the height of a mostly vertical Bullet Jump and then Blood Alter an enemy there, then let the other enemies fall and finally Magnetize the B'Altered enemy. This way the B'Altered enemy is both away from other enemies and way frome other physical objects like blocks and walls (especially if they are using the New War bow (I forget how to spell its name) and it only has infinite punch through and travel distance vs bodies and not for said object obstacles).
Then again I don't really know what you are exactly doing, and again I have yet to try this combo, so take my observations with some skepticism.

the best part about mag imo is the fact she allows for non meta weapons to be very good through magnetize. I use a lanka primed chamber build with a -mag capacity riven which fucking slaps due to the infinite body punchthrough. using that weapon on any other frame tho it's completely useless

The right combination of Nataruk + other weapons, shards, helminth and a ahndy companion is literally a playable star ingame. Infinite pull & succ into a ball of pure destruction that explodes at the end of it's life as a supernova that casually does 2+billion dmg💥💀 While being nearly immune to dmg, stripping armor, perma overshield generation, perma enemy hard CC and 25% max. HP/s AoE healing.

@@WarframeFlo I need to share this build somewhere. It's centers around a Helminth that allows her Magnetize Bubble to continue suck in enenies, even if the initial one dies. Which is busted if you combine it with range and other weapons that boost this gameplay. You can solo SP without even getting hit😎

Edit : 2700 armor cap, that means in 3 casts of polarize, you'll just strip an entire tileset, no LoS restrictions.

funny parti is, all tree starters frames are excellent later on in the game, Excalibur is what i would call the easiest path toward steel path while mag and volt are indeniably late game monster capable of reaching levels caps

It's in the options son. You can make mates and enemies glow in different colors.
A change to the early game build, Energy Nexus is only available from Sanctum Anatomica missions (unless you trade for it), which is extremely late game in story progression (requires New War and Duviri Paradox completion iirc). Wouldn't realistically be in an early game build in most cases due to abovementioned availability.
I agree but its not hard to make 5 platinum in the early game you can run a couple of relics or run a corrupted mod farm and you can get that with ease even with the low trades you have. Energy nexus is such an important mod for beginners even if you have to trade for it. ON my new account it has literally sorted out all my energy issues a new player would have to face

Have you tried Kuva Bramma you can proc Deadhead if you shoot above the bubble the projectiles will go in the bubble straight to their head
lol her passive is actually great considering you DONT need vacuum and can replace it with one of the many great companion skills

One thing I wanted to say, and this is from somebody who considers themselves a huge Mag enjoyer/main, Mag is not typically a frame for newer players. Star chart is fairly easy in a lot of ways with decent weapons, but she can be a very squishy frame at times. You really have to play to her strengths in regards to CC. Something most new players I’d assume would have trouble with.
Additionally, Beam weapons, depending on which one, can actually work very well with the Bubble.
In my testing, Projectile based weapons tend to get trapped and orbit causing additional damage and can be nasty; my favorite being Nataruk.
But beam weapons depending on your choice can also absolutely melt and disintegrate trapped enemies quite quickly.
I recommend for instance the Gaze secondary or primary for that matter. Both make Bubbled enemies die very quickly lol.
Phantasma was better, but nowadays not so much. Idek about the Quanta or some nonsense like that. But Tenet Glaxion, or Amprex etc. if you have a good build, especially the Gaze secondary with a riven lol, they just melt.
My current main frames are mag and yareli. Mag is just good an loyal merulina augment made yareli very good as a solo frame.

That fancy looking skin is the Mag Heirloom Skin. Unfortunately it was a limited time deal and is very unlikely to make a comeback any time soon(tm).

i used your exact loadout for mag 11:52 and im out of energy like 90% of the time because no health orbs dropped making equilibrium practically useless. i know i have a massive skill issue but i cant get enough energy to even use her 2 or even 1 more than once since i don't have primed flow or if you use archon shards or not. starting to feel like i wasted 100 plat on a frame that dies to anything over level 50
Couple years ago, I got a switch so I started a new account. I chose Mag thinking that I was choosing to play on hard mode. I quickly came to realize that she's actually objectively the best starter frame. Easy armor strip, easy shield regen, and bubble just deletes strong foes that would give an early player struggle
what are your energy colors?
It seemo to be some type of orange and purple or burgundy, my guess fire colors
the use for 2 channel is making you tankier for a bit in case you mess up and need some quick cover
how do you highlight the mobs like that? The hardest thing for me in the game is seeing the enemies...

There can be multiple reasons for the (original) general dislike for Mag. The first is hinted at near the beginning of this video: she is a bit complex and not immediately intuitive. While their is synergy between her abilities, the little details about those interactions and the abilities on their own is not fully pointed out in the tool tips. On top of that, outside of Shield Gating (gateing?), which is not obvious at first, she has low survivability due to her low health and armor.
The likely other, more subtle aspect that affects "sense day one" type veterans of the game, is that at one point early on in the games development, Mag's Pull and Polaris abilities worked much differently. I don't know the exact details as I am not one of those veterans, but I this Pull naturally had the ability to pull in at least energy orbs for not only herself but FOR HER TEAMMATES AS WELL! That means Mag and Mesa could become and two person turret of endless death.
But the main kicker is likely her Polarize, as instead of having a flat damage to shield (and armor), the ability hit shield only BASED OFF OF A NOTABLE PERCENTAGE! This alone gave Mag the nickname "Corpus Killer" and could single handedly nuke large rooms (of Corpus).
Obviously those ability aspects have changed, but because of those changes people lost interest in Mag and thought she was unplayable for the high end content at the time.
Now, I don't know Mag's exact standing in the community, but Mag's history is one of the reasons why I try and watch, up vote/thumbs up videos about mag herself, especially those that, at the very least, try to be mutual about Mag.

Mag was my starter back in 2014, I fell outta love with her for a period of time, and then we came back together in 2022 and she’s been my main chick ever since.

Quick question, does Mag's Magnetize bubble also pull in enemy fire if they're stuck in the bubble?
And how do you manage to stay alive with Mag in things like solo Level-cap Void Cascade? Been trying to use her, but I always get my overshields shredded even when i constantly spam Crush, Polarize, etc. Do you use some outside source of CC aside from her abilities to stay alive, like a Hound, etc?
Honestly, I have no idea how you can stay alive there solo that long and not have issues when everyone is shooting at you lol. Counterpulse and Fracturing crush only help me so much but I always get caught in all the crossfire.
Would definitely appreciate any advice you have on that front.
Arcane agias, it procs regen, have any amount of shield, sheild gate. You can relax while this is up. Little rng, but so long as you don't get slash/toxin proc, it's a few seconds of invincibility each time it pops
Are you making use of Casting speed shards? and Rolling guard. Another thing when it comes to solo void cascade is parkour velocity makes a massive difference. I think the main thing for surviving is constantly killing enemies. Casting crush and polarise with counter pulse. Maybe your setup is not correct?. Focus on more duration if you feel like you are dying.
I will say extra casting speed shards and parkour velocity completely change it.
@@WarframeFlo Yeah, I mainly use the same exact one you used in your Mag Solo Run, though admittedly I went for more power strength/duration shards instead of parkour velocity (also have 2 tau shards for casting speed).
Magnetic was originally called BULLET ATTRACTOR. I'm glad they kept that function. ^^
@@agopessimist1335my comfy build for Mag has alot of range and Resonator on her 1. It is instant cast, gives CC, sets up attacks and gives a small shield gate on top (if you have any energy use = shields mods).

That fancy looking skin is the Mag Heirloom Skin. Unfortunately it was a limited time deal and is very unlikely to make a comeback any time soon(tm).
I literally haven’t built May simply because I lack the heirloom skin and I haven’t found any other fashion style that I’d like for her :(

I recently got her prime and now I’m working on slapping 5 tau yellows (all casting) while wearing minion drip. So far I have 2 and It’s beautifully stupid.
Does the secondary fire with the Cedo work for Mags Bubble?
Don't know cedo but of its NOT a beam or hit-scan weapon aka an actual projectile then yes it works.
@@BDOArtusI thisnk the bubble still works with at least hit scan weapons, just that the damage frome is directly goes to the central enemy/spot and/or just adds to the damage of the ticks of damage and the ending blast.
I haven't use the Cedo since leveling it for mastery, but since the secondary is a glave-like effect, I don't this that projectill "works" with Magitize. Then again I don't know how the Mitter works with Magitize and it has its own version of a glave-like projectile, so this all requires testing in some form.

I think the Jade shadow update might have broke this combo tried it earlier and now it's being weird with blood alter.

When I first started playing Warframe how about 5 or 6 years ago I chose Mag as my starting Warframe just based off the ability is it shown on screen I thought Excalibur was a little underwhelming I thought volt was a little overwhelming and Mag just seemed like a great overall Choice even though I hated the way she looked definitely a great frame

mag's my favorite frame and i find there's 0 reason to run rolling guard on her. just press 3 or 4 and you get your shield gate back up no problem.
even the odd toxin eximus enemy isn't enough to justify it. just avoid it or pop into ur operator for a while if it manages to get to you(which it shouldn't)
also you didnt mention that weapon with 100% punchtrought are really great for her 2
