Couple of pointers. 1. Only 743 Yezdi 350s were made. Even fewer sold. Even fewer survive today. 2. The fully faired version for the Yezdi was called the Yezdi Supersprint. But that was a modification of the 250cc Roadking. I am a proud owner of both the RD350 and Yezdi 350.
Nice review. I am 67. Oh, there is nothing like a twin-cylinder 2-stroke that runs well. Here in my country, we never got the RD350. We got the RD400, RD350 LC, & RZ350. I can't recall the last time I saw a 2-stroke motorcycle on our roads. Trinidad & Tobago. West Indies.

The RD's here in India usually only come out either for weekend rides or such events. You will occasionally see the RX 100 & 135 on our streets as an everyday office going bike. The people in South India are true 2 stroke fanitics, and the culture over there is just unparallel.

Like the other small Yamahas sold by the dealer, it is made in India. The more powerful and off-road models are made in Japan. It is just another 250 cc bike, a budget bike. But it works well, and is good on fuel. Not too much electronics to deal with. The Yamaha dealer has a RZ350 as a showbike on display. The biggest 2-strike I had was a Suzuki GT550 triple. I have a 1973 RD350, I just dynod it, after a rebuild, with some porting, tmx35, power reeds valves, it was 53bhp on the rear wheel... 181kmh 😆 I love it! It is 50 years old

The sound from the exhaust still reverberates in my ears. No bike currently in India can come anywhere close to this RD350, my elder brother owned one in the 80s. A league of its own, sadly lost on account of mileage. For a 350cc, high speed twin cylinder in India, it had its own clientele

Great to see my bike featured here, I would have never sold this bike but Yazed is truly deserving and yes when I saw his face after he took it for a spin I knew he will not think twice! This bike has exceptional porting and the power delivery is unmatched and it goes hand in hand with the Ron Chinoy CDI system! This is one MAD RD350 Hybrid and Yazed Lord is crazy! Haha
When I was in college St Andrew's bandra nearly every alternate evenings one guy used to ride a RD 350, I always used to look at that bike and be like wish I had the pockets to buy this. It was aroun 90-100k back then around 5-7 years ago.❤

I had a high torque yamaha rd 350 , TN 20B 9444 ..had t during college ,saved up money & got the beauty 2006 ter were poor quality replica parts and availability of parts were too rare ,& expensive, very hard to maintain esplly the point ones not cdi. U ride fr a month and 3 months n garage tuning t Riding t was a pleasure ,even f i close my eyes i can still feel to this day ..the roar and blue smoke & petrol perfume on urslf and oil stained denims nd finger nails .. Eats up on ur wallet but overtakes and speeds lik no otr vehicles n road n those days. . ..as he said 120 kmph was the sweet spot ..no vibrations jus smooooooth cruising . It was a well balanced bike. I used to do stunts (college day adrenaline) CHRIST (standing in the seat wit arms wide open ) while cruising at 80kmph .. Thise were the days no fear n no brains Which i had to sell with a heavy heart .. Only regret of my life . Still miss it to this day . Now have a rc390 2016

Way back in 2006, in my second year in college, I received an offer of an Orange RD 350 HT. Shodded with Pirelli tyres at just 30K. Kitna manage karney ki koshish Kia Papa ko... He never agreed...His main concern was never the speed, but the mileage that it would give..which wouldn't have been sufficient with my pocket money. I wish I could have laid my hands on it.. would have kept it as a showpiece for ages. ❤️ Lovely coverage of a legendary bike!
It is / was monster..... Was my dream bike In those days we used to call it 20-20 bike (as the same was available at 20k - second hand bike and used to give 20 kmpl milage)

I bought a rd350 during 1990..1984 model. There was piston slap& the bore was worn,but still no one could touch me in Coimbatore.bought it for 7250/ I love the exhaust noise when the throttle is twisted.
Yamaha should release a single cylinder 350 retro competitor in 2 lakh range. It will be super hit. Just mostly copy the Honda's CB 350RS and give it RD badge.
The RD is a Global product for Yamaha, much respected by all the automobile enthusiast all over the World. I dont think that Yamaha would launch the RD again especially for India. Yes Yamaha has significantly better and more superior products abroad, I guess they are still considering India as an 'under developed nation' in their portfolio of markets.

Sir,where to buy is actually impossible, because only 7000 units of these bikes were made,among them 4000 went to gujari/ melting,the rest may be rusting, neglected ,only very few modified, running,so it is not possible,but still RD 350is best looking among brand new vintage looking bikes,all the best for your mods,😀
Ohh yesss that was the name, the 'Supersprint'. Was trying to recollect the name while making this video. I remember as a kid reading our automobile magazine and just staring at that amazing and modern Yezdi (for that time atleast) Thanks for mentioning the name.
Now I'm in age 20s and I will buy a current refined engine brand modern Classic bike and kept it to nearly 50s in upcoming advanced world. Thats a collection 🏃💥

Yes a twin 2 stroke bike has a tune that no modern 4 stroke bike can compete.
This bike belonged to me once upon a time and sold it in 2011. So happy to see the bike living a good life.

You will have to check with your local RTO, apart from Delhi, other districts aren't so strick.

Even the rear shock absorbers are not stock, they are from Hero Honda CBZ, nevertheless the bike is still in a good condition.
