How about a Super Expert: progress or forced skip? If you die, you have to skip if there were no progress in that attempt. Of course, the first life is always progress even if you die right away. After that, progress must be achieved or you have to skip to keep your honor. :)

What you said around the 22 mark has become really apparent with recent Super Expert courses: it seems like people stopped making good, hard levels and focused too much on making the levels as infuriating as possible. Luckily, I think people will have so much fun with the new features in SMM2 that there shouldn't be that issue for the first couple years :)

@@eskimojoe365 well I mean levels that have a tas make them should be taken down in no way is it even remotely fair the person making the level didmt even beat it themselves levels should be filter through a is it even possible have 10 moderators okay the levels and if they cant beat it within 60 to 80 lives that should say something. I like hard levels I really do but losing to a level that basically requires a program to beat it isnt a skill it's just luck almost. Also filtering would be a great add on

23:26 you can see the muncher on top of the other one move from left to right, when he's on the left it's the exact moment to jump and activate the pow block, so you get in without touching the muncher on the last frame of the jump.
Something I've never actually mentioned is I used to find it weird that your videos start with a preview but it works really well. Especially if it's a preview of something funny that happens near the end of the video, because sometimes I'll keep watching just to see that one bit... When I probably should be working on my degree... Woops

Poor Ryu. Every time he gets a midair it eats dozens of lives. He needs to do a 3-4 hour stream dedicated entirely to midairs, both left and right. Not even the Ryuvenge... just the Ryusuffering.
Let's hope they add the dolphins in Mario maker 2 and mecha koopas lol be sweet charging chuck and his many sports equipment would be dirty in a super expert run he expands into 3 or throws baseballs

So uh, you were definitely supposed to just hit the p switch and kick the shell up to get the vine on the 1st stage...props for the unnecessary cheese though
Stage one, throw the shell down the narrow hole and jump on the p switch to turn blocks into coins. Shell hits note blocks to release key and bounces up to hit vine box

no my knowledge, and ryu has stated this before, there is no such thing as a TAS in super Mario maker. someone had to beat it to upload it
