Been playing and learning for over two years and I am not improving. Been watching your content for the caro and jobava; can’t seem to get past 1100. I have had a few games recently where 800-900 players have beaten me. I don’t know how to get better. I really enjoy the game and lately; your videos. Maybe I’m not capable of improving. It’s painful to spend so much time on something and not get better at it, no matter what it is. But I think I am just going to have to come to peace with being a below average player. But thank you for trying to help myself and so many others with this game.
For blunders just do something called a blunder check: before every move check if that move puts ur king in danger. Then check if u are going to lose ur queen because of that. Then check if u are hanging a piece because of that move. Also, as far as I know about 1.d4 openings, piece maneuvering and pawn play is crucial (albeit my only experience playing 1.d4 is when I was a 700 elo - 900 elo player playing London system)
I play CK blk and Jobava w white. Otw to a 1000 sitting at 800 rn and was 400 a few months ago. Just took up chess and know I need to learn more positions but enough games with the same openings you start to know the best moves..thanks Alex!

I can't even tell what happened at 51:15. Looked like Alex premoved RxP, but somehow the pawn magically survived and promoted. WTF? Is that one of them thar "Rook Proof" pawns?
I think what happened was that he was late with his rook. The pre-move to take was supposed to be with the knight. He pre moved so much he lost track of the pre move order. When he got there with rook the pawn was already there so since he pre moved his rook there he missed his chance to take with the knight.
@@WikDgunner I thought maybe he was trying to show off by letting black queen yet still deliver a mate with a rook and knight. Just a guess. All he had to do at one point was just block the black pawn with his knight, then cut off the king with his rook and proceed to force a simple textbook mate. If he wanted a simple win, then I don't know why he would bother chasing that pawn when an undefeatable blockade was just one move away. Why, Alex, why?
A few high rating games is very interesting, since you get to see some deeper lines in the Jobava London instead of the opponent blundering early on. I don’t think any opponent so far has held on long enough for you showcase the knight trap.

Hi Alex, what are your thoughts about 1 d4 Nf6 2 Nc3 d5 3 Bf4 e6 4 Nb5 (instead of 4 e3)? Black has either 4...Bd6 5 Nxd6 cxd6 or 4...Na6 5 e3 c6 6 Nc3 Bb4 7 Bxa6 Bxc3+ 8 bxc3 bxa6
It’s a good line, but you can get move ordered by black if they go 1.d4 d5 2.Nc3 e6 3.Bf4 Bb4 and there is no more Nb5 which is the main reason why you should learn the 4.e3 lines first

No secret sauce, all pretty natural except maybe bringing the B back. It seems fine. Is this line covered in the course? Seems equal but nice to play for black, Q-side attack looks promising.
@@AlexBanzea I just checked that game, hadn't watched it before (I usually skip these "we need to talk about" or "what's wrong with X" titled videos out of habit). How can i play chess online with real people?
How good is it in classical games? I have played it only against waker opponents.
It’s great, the only trick is that above 2200 you need to balance the lines a bit with alternatives in the Jobava to not become super predictable
@@AlexBanzea Okay so I need to balance the lines in like 2 years.
you can show where you failed miserably, that helps n big lesson for us.
In the 2nd game the computer likes e4? Instead of F4? Bc I miss this sometimes
Sometimes when playing the caro kann opponent sacrifice Knight and I have to take with Queen and he starts putting pressure till I lose can u make a caro kann video on this
There's so much chess awesomeness here, but I admit it, I'm here for the jokes.
27:46 did you miss Ncxd5? comes with check so you win a pawn right 🤔 unless I’m missing something 🤔🤔
BLK will retake with his c pawn, not his e pawn, so WHT will not win a pawn, but he will open BLK's c file for use by the BLK rooks which will put pressure on WHT's castled King.
11:19 what if you just take with the horse and fight with pawns in the middle
full support from the Dardans.
Step 1: match up with a 2100 that hangs bishop on move 5
Step 2: winning?
Chess really is an easy game
😂😂😂😂 You did a me at the end😂😂😂
Can you do a few videos on calculation ❤
I only play bullet chess with 1) the Jobava as white and 2)while wearing banned swimsuit.

It's never obvious who farts on the bus. I've always thought this should be a crime, with automatic DNA testing to prove the offender and remove them from the bus, or an ejector seat if on a train.
"Mother Flagger" Love it :)
Drop his phone on his face while lying on the bed 😂
Not going to lie, I've done it more than once. I've even dropped my kindle on my face, which somehow hurts even more.
The Caro-kann master!💯
If Ben Finegold was dead, he would turn in his grave for that 4. f3
