Love a new Banzea update. Theres a jobava into pirc you play that has won me so many games vs the KID, absolutely free elo with Nc7+ then Rd8 mate. What a legend of a teacher 👏
I've watched so many of Alex's videos I don't know exactly which jobava video it is. But the line is: 1. d4, d6. 2. Nc3, Nf6. 3. Bf4, g6. 4. e4 Bg7. 5. e5, dxe5. 6. dxe5, Qxd1. 7. Rxd1, Nh5 and this basically loses on the spot. Your knight moves to d5. If they defend by Na6 you snap it off the board with the bishop, when they retake with a pawn you fork their rook and king but it's not just the rook they're losing, Rd8 is mate. Often they capture your bishop on f4 then you just play the Knight check straight away it's m2
Started playing chess last year, but i stopped cause i cant seems to get better. I getting back at it again last month, your video had helped me tremendously, from 700 to 830 in a month, i know it's still very low, but i can tell i'm making progress. Thank you! Ps.. perhaps capybara break had some charm in my elo boost.
Started last year too, almost at 1400 The main thing that’s been holding me back is playing too fast and never calculating Even now I finish most of the games I lose with 7 minutes remaining or more If that sounds like you then you’re way better than you think, you just need to slow down and think about every move :) My rating started leaping when I realized that
@@lemomar yes i agree, i’ve been getting the hang of it lately, blunder less, can find attacking pattern, calculate better and convert the win. Thanks for the good advice!
47:57 Nd7 to prevent Ne5 after Na5 is a pretty common idea in my experience, but it's not so simple because you lose control of h7 so white can try to create the battery and attack on the kingside
Hi Alex, your tutorial on the Caro-Kann is fantastic! I would like to see how you handle the King's Indian Attack against the Caro-Kann. I seem to be seeing it a lot in tournament at my level. Thanks!
@@kaidoChess Not false. Played this opening for a few years got from 1400 to 1900 without any difficulty. Can send you the link of the last season where I scored a 6 out 6 with it.
I hope to see more f4 games. The g5 move I was aware of, but not as a straight up pawn sac. Do you have any rules to follow when deciding whether the g5 sac is good or not?
Hey Alex, I remember you were looking for software guys for your website. I am currently a software engineering student and am beginning to look at volunteer opportunities. I'm about halfway through my degree, so my help would likely be limited, but I would be happy to donate some time if needed. Thanks for the awesome video, you're my favorite chess player
Top at usual. At game 2 I was asking myself why you didn't play rook C8 as usually you ask for, then suddenly you played it. Then why you didn't go at minority attack for this game 2.
Theres no minority attack because the c file is alteady open. The goal of the minority attack is usuallu to separate whites d and b pawns or create a weakness on c3. In this case the pawns were already separated so he didnt need to do the minority attack.
But I’m happy that I finally managed to take a backward pawn and then convert a Caro-Kann defense I played yesterday, after learning about this technique from Alex.
Let me comment just because you are reading everyone's comment and dropping a like. And let me be lucky to get a like and be it my first ever pin comment on TH-cam ever from you. Edit: Always loved your videos man. I started playing Jobava and Caro kann after learning from your videos. Respect and Love from India🇮🇳

Can you point me to the title of the video you mention please? Thanks

Just bought your karo course!! Can’t wait to go through it. Thanks!
Great to see another video. I always see e6 after Bg4 or Bf5 as "closing the door behind the Bishop."
just bought the caro course as well! waiting on the jobava one because we need to get some elo my friend

Thankyou so much bro😭
I love your videos, you give us so much content for free. I’m greatful to you.I consider you my coach. Love you bro❤😭
Glad you covered how to develop after f4 in the first game because nh6 just wasn’t on my radar
would you play Nh6 against f4 in the second game too?
Great work Alex - your content is always on point!

capybara break is an amazing idea
I should start implementing capybara breaks after I lose and get mad. Nice video as always!
Alex, in Game 2 why didn't you also play nh6 like in Game 1? The structures are so similar that it leaves me confused.

The Caro Kan is getting so popular that even 1500s know what they’re doing for most of the game
No they do not haha. They usually blunder a pawn right after the opening.

I agree. It's not clear to me either, why Bf5 in game 2 but Nh6/Bg4 in game 1.

Well done.
In the second game, why do you not play for winning a pawn?
15:12 why not Kh6 just like game 1?
it's actually possible, I guess I was just a bit superficial :D
beast.
It would be awesome if you could upload daily or at least once every couple of days, and games against lower rated players
In game 2, why didn't you play knight to h6, instead of bishop f5?
it was possible, I just knew the other move is best and somehow didn't consider it lol

When to play rc8 or rb8 in the exchange?
It all comes down wether Rc8 is useless or not. I explained it why in the video, so Rc8 is great vs Nc3 lines not pawn c3
