Thanks Mark, yes I did think it would be too dark, it did polish up in Lightroom way better than I imagined, I did take a couple of other shots at different exposures to blend together if required - in the end I didn't need to. Video length is always a dilemma.
Glad you enjoyed it Darryl, theres some spectacular gritty and rugged countryside up in these parts of the Pennines, I must get back before spring comes.
Super little video Andrew. Thats a very nice area around that way and you got some nice shots. Think the shot at 6.30 had some great colour in the sky and detail in the viaduct
Thanks, Keith, that's appreciated, yes I agree it was lucky that golden colour in the sky, even though the scene was in shadow, that colour just lifted the shot.
I've been to Walsden Station a few years ago (month before the Pandemic started back in February) and it is a nice station, what I also noticed is that where the old footbridge is at 1:50 used to be where the first Walsden Station used to be. Great Video, some great locations
All well Mark, thank you, just my attention is directed at other things other than Railway Photography, so for the last couple of months I've had a pretty low profile. I'm hoping to get back out and about soon though and I'll have a new video up this week that was filmed last year.
Your wrong Andrew, your film was not dreadful at all, but very enjoyable. Do you get more enjoyment out of creating these film for us or getting the shots for flickr ?
Thanks, Peter, I can feel when I’ve shot a good video and achieved some potential images, I didn’t get that feeling on this video, so whatever came was built in the edit, both video and photos. Now, the question, do I enjoy video or photography? I actually enjoy both, but if I’m doing a video It does take a lot of concentration and the photography certainly isn’t as relaxed, there's always the pressure of getting an image to make the video. I can be much more relaxed and do enjoy the photography more when I just go out to take a photo, there's no pressure to get that shot, if it doesn’t happen who cares there's always next time. Regards Andrew
Too dark!? That last picture at the viaduct was immense in depth of colour and atmosphere. Good stuff again Andrew pity they’re not longer.

Lovely. I enjoyed my day pottering about the hills here a few years back.

You devil you've done it again , amazing photographs . 👍
Thank you so much 😀, I’m always pleased if I get one that I’m happy with from a day out.
Great video great shots great places
Glad you enjoyed it, yes this is another great location, quite spectacular in the autumn colours.
Thanks ,Andrew, for this trip in the Calder Valley, and the excellent results you obtained, hope to see you soon , Pete, Bangor.
Thanks, Peter, Yes, it turned out to be a good day up in the Pennines - hopefully we meet up soon.
Fantastic Andrew, what a great location!
Many thanks Andy, I certainly dropped on lucky with the colours and light, but it is a great spot.
Thank you again Andrew for the excellent and enjoyable video. The tour through the Calder Valley has certainly whet the appetite! One day….!
Glad you enjoyed it Steve, yes its a great line and this is only a small proportion of it, I must get back soon.
Nice video Andrew from one of my favourite stomping grounds.
Nice one Michael, its great up there, especially during autumn and winter - I must get back during the winter months.
Hi Andrew - I always enjoy your adventures whatever the result and looking for more in 2022.
Cheers Kev
Thanks, Kev, I’m sure they’ll be more coming through during next year.

The videos are amazing mate keep up the good work.
Thanks, will do! Thats kind of you.
You got some really nice shots Andrew. Look forward to your next video
Glad you enjoyed it, see where we end up next
Just discovered your superb channel. Thoroughly enjoying your videos. Thank you.
Glad you like them and welcome aboard, I've quite a few photographic locations planned for the coming year so stay tuned.
@@AndrewShenton I’ll certainly stay tuned! Look forward to those.
Excellent video, really enjoyed it.
Glad to hear it and thank you for watching.
Absolutely stunning images once again and a very enjoyable video - please could I invite you to post more of your work on Gen-Northern Flickr page.
Thanks, will do Kevin, I’ll make a point of putting the images in that group.
You should make a video about editing sometime! Nice video and shots!
Maybe one day, I need to think of a format for tutorial style videos.
Hahahaha yet another good one sir and it be a long time waiting for new upload ?
Thanks John, time is the key theres never enough of the stuff, I’d love to be doing photography and videos but life just gets in the way i’m afraid.
Excellent video and even better photographs in this one Andrew . Love your work you do for us all to enjoy . Thank you
Glad you enjoyed it Ian, I’d love to be doing more - but other life commitments always get in the way.
Thought-provoking as ever Andrew. That path on the hillside, looking down to the valley and viaduct below, looked rather precarious to me.
Cheers, Peter, not quite as bad as it looks, although I wouldn’t fancy one of the houses that cling to the hillside.
Lovely video Andrew! Could we please see a video on how you edit your photos?
Thanks, I've through about doing something like that, but not thought how best to do a tutorial style video yet.
@@AndrewShenton yes I think it would be really good! Struggling to get my photos edited to a good standard without looking artificial

Thanks for the info Simon, funny thing is the last time I was up in this area was March 2020, the week before lockdown 1.0
Are you on Holiday sir?!
Thanks Mark, not on holiday this was a day out - i’ll be back doing the railway photography shortly though.
I guess the last one....
10/10 your prize is in the post! yes I was so pleased how that last image turned out when back home, at the time I thought it might be too dark.
Are you ok Andrew?
All well Mark, thank you, just my attention is directed at other things other than Railway Photography, so for the last couple of months I've had a pretty low profile. I'm hoping to get back out and about soon though and I'll have a new video up this week that was filmed last year.
@@AndrewShenton of course was tongue in cheek! But good to hear more coming and busy in life
Wasn't bad at all!
Thank you, I never know how these videos or the images will turn out, it’s mostly guess work until I get home and start editing.
@@AndrewShenton very true! I haven't edited video and just can't grasp how to piece it all together so take my hat off to those that can pull it off.
@@dct1 Thanks, it was a bit of a challenge to start, but I must admit after watching a few TH-cam tutorials and I was quickly up and running.
