Some people think that Thyme is being an a*hole because he doesn't recieve love at home but Thyme's situation was not just about "not recieving love at home" His mom raised him, well actually left him to be raised, to be cruel towards people.
"Everyone is below you"
"People tries to get close because of your name and money."
"If you can't control people around you, you won't be able to control anything when you get in the family bussiness"
"You are above everyone else"
"You should be not only respected, but feared"
"Always show people that you're stronger than them"
This is what always implanted in Thyme's head since childhood. (Other 3 didn't raised having this much pressure, so they are relatively better) This is also why Thyme only (allowed to) has F4 as friends because they are the closest to Thyme in terms of wealth, so it's for sure that they are not after his money or name. He isn't allowed to have anyone else as a friend, because his mom thinks that having friends like "ordinary" people is a weakness. This is why F4 is the most valuable thing in Thyme's life.
Also, to Hana, Thyme did not bully her, he just called her ugly and refused her love. Yes, he did it in a very a*hole way, but it was because he doesn't know any other way. And it happend when they were so young, when Thyme didn't know anything but what he's been taught. All his life, he has been treated like he is always right, so whenever he did something wrong, it never had consequenses like it should be, because he is THE Thyme no one would dare to show him, or even tell him, his mistakes. So he doesn't know if what he does is right or wrong. This is why he never apoligizes (until he meets/falls for Gorya)

On the Hana Yori Dango version "Hana" ended up almost like this, she didn't get a red card either. And also on HYD Ren was out for only one episode. They're followojg the Japanese version pacing a LOT (and I love it)
Still can't get over Thyme and Gorya's chemistry, they're literally boyfriend and girlfriend indeed
About the clothes and all the animal patterns and fur and clashing patterns, pretty sure it is purposeful. There is a channel that does analysis on F4 called F4 obsessed if you want analysis on literally everything on this version and they talk about how the costuming is part of thyme’s journey and emotions
I mean I feel like in all versions of Domyouji (Thyme) he wears either animal prints or furs (and everything extravagant really), it's definitely intentional as i see it

Yeah the animal prints and patterns are definitely in the other versions as well but in here even his other clothing seemed intentional towards his mood which is cool
Thyme stole the show for me... the way he handled the Hana situation was very refreshing compared to the other versions. His apologies to Gorya and him crying while doing so.. I'm dead!! 😭❤️ The silver lining was Thyme realizing and understanding his feelings for Gorya.. I can't wait to see how all this plays out with Ren back. Most of us know Ren isn't in the best place right now, so I can't wait to see what the writers have in store.

Best version ever..I felt that...this is my favorite version of f4 too..
I saw the 4 versions of this drama, yes, the two Chinese, the Japanese and the Korean and I also read the manga, and what they say is true. Thyme in this version is very similar to the manga version, he is in a certain way for the way he was raised, or as they said in another comment, as his mother told the people in charge of him how to raise him, that feeling of superiority was implanted in him from a very young age, that's why he has the fight for the doll with Ren, if he wanted something he had to have it and if he couldn't get it he was punished for it, I remember that he was even abused if he didn't impose himself on others, that's why in the manga and in the Japanese version he is extremely violent, he doesn't know Another way. In this version they don't make it so violent. I like that we see that Goria is not a helpless girl and that the problems that come her way are often caused by Thyme's past and that is why he begins to change as a person in the manga he realizes that his way of being is hurting the person he loves and that his past actions are affecting the future he wants to have.
I just have a thought that all the things that happened right now is like a Karma for Thyme. The red card game he was playing, now backfire him through Gorya as a target. His small kingdom that he build is out of control. Gorya hurting means it hurting Thyme more.
What I like about the Thai version is they show us that everything that we do or decisions we make has a consequences. I really like this show! every dialog is precious!
Thai's version of storytelling is really "progressive" compared to other versions. Ex. There are "plastic surgery shaming" in past versions which they completely left out in the Thai ver. Which I highly appreciate.
Thyme's is also less cruel in this version compared to other adaptations. And they made sure that they will not romanticize the bully-victim relationship.
Watching F4 Thai made me realize that I should not raise my kid the way f4 parents did. Even they look perfect on the surface but underneath all of them got some kind of problem that need to handle with love and care.
the fur jackets are so bad 😭😭 but the costume symbolism is really amazing - imo they dress ren like prince charming (the blue suit at miras) and thyme like the beast from beauty in the beast which represents their personality. thyme is wearing a fur or animal print jacket to show his scary exterior but when he’s comfortable with gorya he wears a shirt. when he argues with gorya over the picture you see him in the next scene back in the jacket - putting his persona back on - but when it’s resolved and he goes to save gorya he’s back in a normal shirt.
I love that making Kavin being the nobleman lineage, the line "if my family were to take action, the person who backs you won't be that comfortable." You know how influential royalties can be.
Shout out to Nanon's real Papa (Kanning's dad)! Never knew who he was until Bad Buddy blew up, but he deserves much respect from all internationals. The man is a veteran actor in Thailand and also played the surgeon/doctor who operated on Tian in 1000 stars. All GMMTV needs to do is hire Nanon's sister Nonnie because she is hilarious. Watch the videos with her and Nanon. 😃

Glad I discovered your channel. Now I have someone to watch the show with. I absolutely love it, but no one that I know have watched all the versions so I cant speak to anyone about it. Watched all the versions and the J and C ones were the best for me, but this one is coming for the number 1 spot. It is so good. And loving the portrayal of Thyme. More humanized than the other versions. And damn, Bright is perfect for the role.

Here again to say thanks for watching with me. 😍This was a deeper episode, but my favorite parts were the "dorky" moments! Thyme (Bright is doing a fantastic job!) is the biggest cheezy guy for Gorya! Also, thanks Dee for letting us hear your story! African parents are just as "involved" in their children's path too... In the other version at least in the Korean one they did show the back story. I think if he was alone at the play ground he might of taken the gift, but when his said she was ugly that when he reacted. But from all the version I love how Thyme explain why he Love the Gorya. And last the reaction from Gorya was too nice I love the reaction from the Korean FL.. Also you got to remember that this one only has 16 episode contrate to the other that it was 24 to 32 episode. I guess that why the episode is moving a little faster that is just my option.
kent's explanation regarding mental health issues was so deep and well thought..I completely agree with your viewpoint. Yes mental health issues are a thing we need to take seriously and yes it's something that we should empathize with but at the same time it should not be wielded as a weapon/excuse to get away from all the shit that u do to others !!
I have come to the understanding that mental health issues in Thailand is still very taboo, if someone has a mental/psychologycal illness they are either completely overlooked or the person is seen as “crazy”
I don’t know if you guys catch it but Thyme said he has Impulse Control “issues”, Thyme fits the profile of someone with Impulse Control Disorder which explains so much of his behavior and makes it realistic, he’s not acting like that because he’s a spoiled brat but because that’s literally how he’s wired.
Also, I can’t believe Ren came back so soon, I know this version will have less episodes but, damn that was fast. In almost all the versions, Ren’s character is kinda of a jerk when he comes back, I really hope they don’t do that

I only understand Hana in one part, it's sad to be bullied but the way she is doing things are not the way to go. I just don't understand these are high school student where is her parents? Omg if I go inside my daughters room and see all those pictures in her wall I will ask her to find out what's really going on. This is poor parenting they don't even know that their kids need help, this is tell you and me that the parents are worries then the kids. Some people from high-class think that by giving their kids a good left with money, clothing, cars, home full of nice thinks is enough, Where is the really LOVE? The one that if something is going on at school or anywhere else I can go and talk to. I really like this story because we can learn from this BULLYING someone it not funny there's so many kids that have kill themselves, but I do believe that people can really change of course there's others that chooses not to, but thats on the parenting that you give your kids remember that learning good behavior starts at home. Me as a parent I never let my kids so others will teach moral, they go to school but to learn other things and also never leave my child to learn only from friends or social media. So even though this is fiction it's sad to say that the Bully really exist everywhere in schools, social media, work & in society as a whole. We need also to remember that we all are different some of us are stronger than others when it come to bullying some can stand up and fight but there's other that let the bullying get to them.

Just wanted to say one thing idk but loved the whole episode but didn't like how they showed the face of the Girl they Showed as the ugly one. I mean idk but just doesn't sit right with me. Like showing a face with pimple etc is Called an ugly one. I mean ... Cuz i know so many young ppl are watching this show and just to differentiate two faces like that. Naa ahh!

I understand where you're coming from, but I didn't mind it. I think it is actually important for them to see themselves in the show AND THEN have Thyme tell them (the audience and Hana) to love themselves first. And not change who they are for anyone
