Just remembering that at the time Dokkan Awakening SSR TEQ Frieza was not considered a good move because he loses shocking speed
I love how extremely educational this is. It feels really nostalgic when I first used to play the game and also how boring the game was if you didn’t have the newest units. I remember if the game felt really generous they’d give f2p units extreme damage or even super kind supreme

@@prostoblogy I played Dokkan way back when it first started and I think those people are full of shit. Dokkan back then was more creative with their units yea but you tell me you wanna deal with multistory where they don’t gurnatee at the very least one ssr or having no coin system or even ezas on old units to be good again? Dokkan around third year was when it started to shift into a much better game. Like Dokkan on ninth year is honestly way better since you can beat majority of the old hard units with f2p units. It’s still a challenge but it’s very doable. Old Dokkan is nostalgic but it’s very boring. People don’t miss old Dokkan they miss what life was like with old Dokkan. It’s like how people missed old Fortnite for example and when the og map came back a lot of people realized how boring old Fortnite really was like but there was also a lot of people that like the old map. I guarantee if old Dokkan truly came back a lot of people would realize how miserable old Dokkan truly was before it started to actually make improvements to make it more fun and suitable for a range of paid players and free players.
Cause it was for some people. The f2p characters were 10000000000X better, sr units has use and also some r characters. Guldo or devilman. Also you could always beat events with dragon stones, and the events now, are so hard that even with the greatest characters in the game, you still aint 100% sure if you can even beat that shit unless you have dupes. The game was a lot more chill back then, and the content was fine, the f2p grind also made up for a lot.@@prostoblogy
@@lordwigstyle8017 can’t agree at all especially about difficulty. Remember Super Battle Road, Broly Dokkan Event? You can beat any new “hardest fight” with new characters without dupes pretty damn easily I did and I don’t have dupes on any best characters (well on 1 or 2 I have, but those events I beat beforehand) I don’t even have all the best characters. All “hardest fights” easily apprehended by Whis support item and any powerful support memory (they can be tough as a no item runs or even some missions, yes, but that is just a player’s decision to suffer or have additional fun).
R’s and SR’s relevancy is fun and all but I don’t see that as really important. Game just out-aged that. Fights were slow and painful as hell back then and, yes, you can continue if you die, but spending stones on that wasn’t that great of an idea (like, there wasn’t nearly as much possibilities to earn stones as now and with no guarantee to get anything from banners that was even worse). Modern f2p also are not unrunable or worthless (well, most of the time).
If you like old Dokkan more I won’t fight you (I don’t intent, want or even care).
The thing I’m saying is - Dokkan now is objectively better now (you can’t fight that, there just 2 or 3 things that were kinda better and those are still questionable, and I don’t know any and just assuming that those exist, all that you mentioned I don’t seem valid at all).
And for the record if you misunderstood me, l’m not trying to tell you (or anyone) anything like: “You like old Dokkan? Well, you wrong and here 45 paragraphs of reasons why you are stupid duck-head and I wish you to die miserable death”. I’m not trying to make anyone dislike something, that’s not the point.
I hope all this is not sounded rude because It wasn’t intended that way.

You made some points but over did it. No you aint beating the hardest event in the game easily no dupes, also broly event use dragon stone, most sbs were duable but the game obv just started with difficulty so they had to release more characters.@@prostoblogy

@@DioBrando-yi5oe I appreciate it, but unfortunately, you can't be too lenient with TH-cam 😅you need to be somewhat consistent, or the algorithm punishes you. I'm taking a "break" next week, but it's really just because I won't have time to work on videos due to my midterms.
Love the video, one thing i wish you could add is maybe a small list of top 3 cards atm, as each big banner comes out or highest dmg cards and see the evolution of dmg.

I started playing Dokkan about 5 months ago, so it's incredibly interesting to see the progression of the game from launch. And to see the skills go from one sentence to the paragraphs we have now.

I just finished watching the 3 eps and it’s great! Reminded me when I was 13 and I was playing since the release. Ah the good old days
This is such an interesting part of the game to learn about, I remember there was a point where people say dokkan as an advertisement for resurrection F with how much content in the game revolved around it. I played around the first dokkanfest, and the free PHY SSJ Gohan was also so good... guy was legendary, considered an SSR in disguise.

Haha, I didn't know that, but it does make sense since Dokkan came out during the kind of "revival" phase of the Dragon Ball IP, so if I'm not mistaken, it was pretty much the only game at the time to have anything related to the new movies. And wow, I didn't know Gohan was good for that long.
