This is not the 4th episode of my Dokkan history series, it's a compilation of previous videos I made covering the different Dokkan anniversaries. I added things I forgot to talk about in my original videos, plus the 9th year anniversary.

7:10 Their passives were also leaked as Goku only having ATK +80% and Vegeta having DEF +80% at the start of the turn with nothing else (or at least I kept seeing that associated with the arts before they released officially). That's another reason why people thought it was fake.

18:55 I played from the games release up until the 5th Anni and then stopped.. I picked it up during last WWDC though but to hear the term "God" and "Neo-God" Leaders again.. damn its been almost a decade at this point!
the amount of kais i got from the 3rd anniversary lasted me such a long time, ive never been able to reach that amount since
21:00 for reference, even the OG Super Gogeta needed to be ran under his leader skill for his DPS. Beast Gohan just slaps around events even without one. There is definitely a gap between the two.

6th year anniversary gets criminally slept on. 12 new fun difficult events that weren’t sbr (crazy at the time). Insane summonable units (especially UI who was maybe the best in the game until either ww or next anniversary depending on what you value in a unit), crazy good f2p units (Roshi was legit top 10 in the game), the introduction of equips, and some really high quality ezas for the time

I’ve been waiting for a video like that forever now. You can talk about each unit released, what they did, what the meta was like, and maybe you can interview some Dokkan tubers to get some input on what their experience was like
Well, lucky for you, I already kind of did. It's my history of series. I'm going to cover the full history of Dokkan starting from the very first year. I just uploaded the fourth episode where I cover the 7th, 8th, and 9th month of the game.

I will never forget 3rd year anniversary. I remember the LAST day of the banners I said fuck it and did 1 more single on the gogeta banner and got a shenron animation and pulled him.
9th year is definitely the best anniversary celebration in my eyes, 4th year was also amazing. I was actually taking a break from dokkan during the 7th year but it seemed incredible

pan technically did come out before the ssj4 lrs but she wasnt awakenable to lr till after they came out so the ssj4s were the first units you could play with that had active skills
The 9th Anni was crazy i started my Jp account a week before the Anni started i managed to get all the Anni LRs and i can't say it enough Beast is so busted
Crazy of evo vegeta went from the worst of the lr pt1 units to the better one with the recent ezas
Revisionists need to be purged. STR Gogeta was heads and shoulders more impactful than Beast on release.
Beast can beat bosses with a fodder saibaman team by carrying it.
Gogeta could make a saibaman team top tier.

Don’t think that it would be fare for me to rank anniversary’s on which I wasn’t playing so my list would be:
1) 8th year (probably interchangeable with 7th, idk really). I liked units alot (for me they are the best headliners that ever were in Dokkan anni’s), it was stuffed with content, fire animations and some more.
2) 7th year. I liked headliners, it was very fun with a lot of content and also it was first anniversary for which I was “preparing” and really started to play the game, huge amounts of free stones (I started watching Dokkan content consistently around that time).
3) 4th year (interchangeable with 6th I guess). Loved the units and stones.
4) 6th year. Animations, f2p units, stones. I was able to pull only Vegeta, so yeah. Funny thing is, UI Goku (SoS or MnG would be more correct names, but that’s not the point) just dodging me like crazy. I summoned on him since INT UI and I wasn’t able to pull a single copy of him on any of his initial banners. INT TUR, LR STR, LR AGL, all of them I pulled literally after 8th year (the same shit with Legends, but worse because I’m not playing it much or at all most of the time).
5) 5th year. Animations. Besides that it wasn’t as good as it seems. Also I wasn’t able to pull anyone.
6. 3rd year. That’s my first Dokkan anniversary. I didn’t understand anything and didn’t really get it, so even though I pulled both units, loved both units I wasn’t really engaged.
Around 1th year I didn’t even know about dragon ball’s existence as a series and was playing Naruto Blazing.
2nd year I also skipped and started playing right when it’s already ended.
I’m a global player so 9th year is still coming. I guess I’ll put it on the second place. Content-wise it looks like absolute number 1, but I have issues with animations. Broly great, Gogeta great, but with issues, Gamma’s good and Beast is like good+ at best (intro and unit super are fire, 18 ki is mid-good, active is bad, 12 ki is freaking horrible you can’t do this 2015 type bullshit on an anniversary character (for those wondering, I am referring to the last part of 12 ki, first part is ok))
Can we talk about beast gohan tanking that first slot offlead before getting his defense???

Same applies to the str ssj4 goku, i was in class when I pulled him and i did a silent pop off and was in a good mood the rest of the day

History correction (9th year):
-Broly and Gogeta were not undisputed #1 and #2 in the game. At the time, Orange Piccolo was still considered by many to be the best due to his 3 turns of guard favoring the short event meta we were still in
-The Gamma 1 bug never actually made it into the game, but it was hilariously broken on the private servers people tested the data download on
-MUI Goku vs SSBE Vegeta was a whole debate, neither was clearly better than the other (although most agreed that Goku was primed to age better)
-Super Vegito's damage doesn't build up with each counter he performs, I believe that was the result of a mistranslation that many global players followed. He was still insanely good, but probably not as good as SSBE Vegeta, MUI Goku, Beast Gohan, or Gogeta Blue on their active skill turns (though this was also a debate)
-The F2P units this year were not worse than the previous years, in fact, Beerus was arguably a must-use unit for some of the missions that released during the anniversary that required a full Super Bosses team. At time of commenting DFE PHY Rose Goku Black has not released on JP, but Beerus will probably also be a premier rainbow orb changer on his team
-The new Cell Max event was the first event that managed to make debuff abilities other than ATK & DEF lowering actually useful in long and hard fights, revitalizing many weaker characters that had been released and somewhat undoing the powercreep caused by the anniversary
-The Dragon Ball Super Movie Memorial was the first event to introduce special skill orbs to the non-headlining characters of the celebration
UI Goku was clearly better. Vegeta couldn't do the God event type disadvantage and struggled against type neutral. Goku could get them done.

I really think that pyjama beerus isn‘t that bad, and actually good. I saw him tank hit 8M (without his attack boost) and tanking blue zone gogeta‘s super.
my anniversary ranking:
9 year, best headliners ever imo, with massive amount of content, and the 77 ticket multi on whatever dokkan banner goes hard!
7 year, hype headliners with introduction of red zone/one of the most fun hard events ever released
4 year, LR SSJ4 monkee with massive amount of stones and other good rewards at the time, red coin introduction
5 year, 2nd hypest headliners ever, they basically solo carried the anniversary
6 year, insanely good f2p units but the headliner were not that hype imo, god event was cool but not even close to as much fun as red zone/blue zone
2 year, My first aniversary ever, introduction of ssj4 into the game, servers crashed due to hype, and INT LR gohan release was a W, even tho I never got him xD. nostalgia for me
8 year, quite disappointing headliners compared to the other anniversaries, content was lacking, good amount of dragonstones but that was kinda it
1 year, never experienced it, so put it here
3 year, stopped playing dokkan temporarily so missed this anniversary aswell
I'd say the 6th anni headliners were more hyped than what people remember. I remember at the time a big discussion about what would dokkan even do after they drop an LR MUI as that was like the last mega hype unit the game could drop. And LR Evo Vegeta too. Mind you, this was before Beast Gohan was a thing. They already used LR Blue Gogeta for the 5th anni so it was like what other options are there and what dokkan could even do for 7th anni. Hell, people were even mad that 7th anni was double Gogeta but now it's praised as the 2nd best anni to date.

I will forever think they made the biggest mistake not making the year 3 ssj3 goku an LR awakened from the year 2/1 goku along with just never giving that f2p phy kid goku an TUR form would have been so cool to me.
3rd was way more up. 5th was the worst....
So there are 5 lrs that could be coming this year based on the legendary vote. Either DKP, ssj3 gotenks, ultimate gohan (buu saga), master roshi, goku (kid), krillin (kid), and kid buu could come this year.

It's actually a compilation of an old series with some new content. It's a one-time thing that was already planned, the sequel to my original series should come next week.

It's because most Dokkan assets are not even SD, let alone HD, so to make them look alright when scaled up, I have to upscale them using AI.
The 1st anniversary Super Gogeta thing is overrated af and straight up wrong.
The event you show in the video is PHY Broly that released 5 months later, the actual event at the time was STR broly which wasnt that difficult at all. And the PHY broly event wasn't even that difficult, if you watch an old video of Rhyme he literally beats the event while not needing to use any stones or super gogeta and he didnt even use all his items lol
Super gogetas kit was already surpassed one month later by INT ulthan who had better defense and better damage other than the super effective, but that didn't matter much as all fights were one type and one phase at the time, so you would use characters with type advantage anyways.
When Super gogets kit was surpassed after just one month, as well as he wasnt really needed in any fights, as well as you can literally find old videos of people beating the events without even having to use all their items, YES, super gogeta is then not the strongest unit ever released and EXTREMELY overhyped, you are literally just repeating popular talking points from the masses without actually verifying it its true or not lol
