Nice work on the dash coverlay! One mod that was an absolute game changer on my GX470 were my seat risers. I'm tall and on long road trips, my legs and thighs would become fatigued in the driver and passenger seats. The stock configuration sits a little flat and doesn't provide enough support. So I installed seat risers that I bought on Amazon and they work like a charm. Definitely worth the consideration to improve the comfort experience.
For the time and cost, not bad at all. I would bet if you introduced your GX470 to the youtube world with this already installed, no one would have noticed a difference.
I ordered a cover direct from them and it is poor quality as far as fitment , they offered a refund minus shipping ... $90 , cover was 255 . so i end up at a loss for a poorly fitting item . decided to fix it by adding to the areas where it was short , yes it wasn't that i needed to remove material , i had to add , then try and paint to match . I've purchased aftermarket ABS parts for motorcycles without these issues unless it was a racing part where detail is second . on their site it says " Made From Durable ABS Plastic And Vacuum Molded For Perfect Fit " , right . Seems like they are the only game in town for this type of product , profit > quality .
Looks much better than it did but not worth $325 in my opinion. But hey you never know till you try. A carpeted dash mat may have been the better option.
Sorry I’m a dippy… Gorilla tape* not gorilla glue… haha

Actually not bad, not bad at all!!
Can we just take a moment and acknowledge the scenery that surrounds this man home!!!
Haha thanks man. Good ole Wyoming! We love it here.
Not Bad Untamed 👍🏼 Cool way to fix a cracked dash
Looks great man! I’m glad someone out there offers this solution to a dash replacement.
*oh this is hotness 🔥... love it... looks perfect... love the REAL wood sadly missing from the GX550*
Just bought a mint 2004 GX470 70k mile in onyx black. Going to get my dash replaced for $600+Labor at the Lexus dealer in jersey.
Nice! That’s awesome! Hope you got a good deal.
That includes the part?
$600 for the dash + labor 1400@@notoffroading
Great job - thanks for sharing!
Need more GX content.
More to come! 🙌
Looks better for sure
Looks pretty good IMO
This is much better than the cracked dash!!!
Well done! Looks much better. Nice job detailing the exterior. Did you use regular wax or go ceramic?
Thanks man. Used regular wax. Just McGuires 7.
Looks Great
Thanks man. So much better than the cracked out dash 👌
Looks great compared to the old cracked dash. Any KO2s in the future?
No plans for that yet anyway. Just put some Nitto Ridge Grapplers on the Tundra. 👌 Video to come this week.
I think it looks better
Good fix over buying a whole new dash plus labor lol
Plus it’s an old GX. Just patch things up for aesthetics

It looks better. I would want a lighter color, but yes it looks better.
Thank god previous owner got this replaced under warranty
Does it off gas? I almost ordered one a few weeks ago but noticed a warning that listed toxic two chemicals. Not sure if that’s just temporary or not.
I've done almost every mod with my 05 4runner except this overlay. 200$ is a lot for a plastic cover.
It looks good
Not a big fan… I thought I might do it on my 80 series…but on second thought maybe not…but interesting video and thanks for sharing!
6 out of 10

Carhartt dash mat cover would of been better
Honestly would have left it the way it is, but to each their own.
I thought Lexus supposed to be reliable & premium products
On an almost 20 year old car it looks way better.
"A ghetto fix" lmao
thats a hell of a lot better. now for that outdated fake wood trim.....
Haha thanks man. I’m pretty happy with how it turned out =]
Sorry, to me you lost all credibility when you downgraded your wife to a cash car and then got yourself a $60,000 truck.
Facts.
I would still prefer a new dash. This looks atrocious.
Well duh, the question is do you want to pay $1200 or $310?
@@UntamedMotors On my wife's RX350 had the same cracks and I found one online for $400 bucks brand new.
