Thank You!!! Perfect answer, and took less than 60 seconds to learn the secret. Embarrassed to admit we took the door apart 3 times, couldn't figure out why that bar wouldn't stay lined up where it needed to be. Yup, missing clip. Took 10 min from start to done once we seen your video. Very much appreciated 💕
Thank you brother! I have had issues with this in the winter. I would spray some lube on the locking teeth in the door, and it would be ok for a week, and then it would not let me out again. May The Lord Jesus Bless you!
Mine is a 2013 and it just started doing this. The darn sun visor won’t stay up nor will the mirror door work anymore either. Ugh, it’s like when one thing falls apart everything does😩
Interesting solution. In my experience, the Honda replacement for the door rod lock holder that he's repairing doesn't work as well as the original. Same goes for the snap that connects the rod to the door latch. Both are inferior so be very careful when you're working in there to not break whichever part is still intact.
Dont know if you still monitor this channel but what are the yellow and orange things called that hold the door handle on. I need to order a set but dont know what to ask for. Thanks, enjoy your channel
@@bryanfredricks9310 I was able to have the door panel hinge up on the front screw (which you can't get to with the door closed), reach my hand inside the door cavity to the latch and open the door. I found the spring that was the culprit, rent the end and reinstalled the spring.
@@TheTylerizbeast i took out all the screw I could. This left only one screw that was hidden by the dash. I was able pivot the door panel up to gain access to the inside of the door and fiddle with the latch part and open the door. It wasn't that bad

What's the clip called and where did you get it
@@wheezeroblox2 great question. I can’t remember the name! I took a ride to a Honda dealership & they ordered it for me.

this is great. is there a similar mechanism to check out if the outer door handle is the one that's not working?
Does this also apply to the 3rd generation CR-V ?

hye just got a honda crv 2001 and this happened to me yesterday do you know what these clips are called cause I cant find any online
The eBay links no longer work - any chance you could just say what the clip part is called or what to search for?

Hey what are those things that hold the lock together not the ones in the handle but the ones that go on the door panel
- Door rod holder
What is the specific name for that clip?
What if the clip is still attached with this problem
what if i doesn’t open from the inside or the outside

Could you do the same with the front passenger door?

can you access all this from inside the vehicle without having the door open?
You would have to have the door open to take the door of easier

Can I just use the zip ties instead of buying a new clip?
