I was hiking once in the Alps and the guides told us not to bring anything with us because we are only going out for an hour because there is a storm coming soon. So we went, a group of 30 high school students, with nothing but what they were wearing. But the hike took us longer than one hour, it took 5 actually. I still remember how thirsty I was, I thought I was gonna die :D Since then I prefer to pack too much, just in case...

I feel like we're missing a lot more story here! It was great but, what happened after they saved him? Why did they still go for the blue berries? How did the rest of the trip go? What did he learn from this near death experience as a guide and just as a human? Don't leave us hangin'!

I think he got his main point across though :) he specifically said he noticed the clients' new gear, which meant they've never been camping before, which meant he was a little judgmental about the situation I guess. But in the end it's those same clients and that same gear that saved him. ironic, and funny. I thought it was a great story.

I didn't know what a "crevasse" was until this story. I'm from south Texas and it's only ever snowed twice in my life where I live which is a freaking miracle. I live right at the southern tip of Texas near Mexico. The two times it snowed were 2004 and 2017 and it was only a few hours. Hearing this made me wonder what a visual would look like so I looked up some pictures and videos and... let me just say that "crevasse" is now on my list of "Things That Terrify Me." Lmao. You were very blessed though!
