I too had to re-glue the magnets in my 14G Pro Kohler Command. The magnets stuck to the stator and were not damaged :) . I also watched Taryl Dactal's video and I used his method with the clothes pins, the same as you did. It worked great!
I like it when the charging magnets are retained by aluminum rivets in Kohler flywheels. Because factory glue doesn't always work. I've seen glued-in magnets in many flywheels come loose & sometimes these will damage the stator. And the low-amperage (under 15 amps) replacement stators are hard to find nowadays, if not impossible, because Kohler didn't supply too many of these.
1) no electrolysis?! 2) if current owners start doing 'preventative maintenance', we'll never get anymore fixer uppers. lol.. thanks for the link. I hadn't seen T's vid

How did you remove the magnets that were still attached?
In my case none of them were attached
