Hi Anton. Just applied to be a Trainee Driver at a North London operator....have an assessment day next month! YAY! :-) Was thinking about starting a channel following my training and the process. Can't wait for my assessment day, wanted to do this for years.
Hey Anton you know the the BYD1474 I was on that once and was walking down the stairs and the bus driver put on his brakes and I fell down the stairs slammed into the wall that was next to the stairs. And me and my friend just laughed. It didn’t hurt I was fine. Merry Christmas
I remember the old 329 back doors had no sensors, so the stopping bell would stay on until the front doors opened, I think TFL wanted it to be a feature lol
I dont like the new YX18 plated series that have been released on one of my Go Ahead london routes, they had old LX54 and PJ53 buses before which I prefer as I grew up with them and know them well! 😂- really nice video D.D.A 🚌
I can remember the old Double Decker buses that my local bus company had as they had a mirror on the top deck so the driver can see what's going on the top deck and now they got new buses with multi CCTV cameras on the top and bottom decks the driver can see what's going on at all times
With some of the newer buses they have the screens by the disabled area; which normally go on a rota through all of the cameras on the bus - I'd imagine the same cameras that the driver can see as well
We have something similar to these. It's basically the same body a slightly different back end and it has a 9 litre Volvo B9TL engine instead of the Volvo B7TL as ours were new in 2007 and 2008
What type of gearbox does this bus have. Because some Wright bodied Volvos can have Voith or ZF gearbox and that does affect drive quality. London’s Gemini’s can have either. Looks Ex London General.
I live in kent. and the buses are operated by Arriva. If you go upstairs and sit in the front, you get cramped up. I`m average height so don't know how some who is 6ft plus would get on
Hey Anton! Have you ever tried a 'Double Decker' chocolate after it's been in the microwave for 30-45 seconds? it's a game changer, you can eat it with a spoon!
The wright bodies on another company (arriva) have quite reasonable legroom compared to this company. I think your bus company went for thicker seats though thus causing less legroom, Arriva use slimline seats which give more space.
That’s literally a casual bus in Newcastle, this is the average bus apart from some arriva electronic ones for 308 buses. (308 are the fastest arriving buses in Newcastle which is every 15 minutes approximately)
Also in these vehicles, you'd also have to wind the blinds everytime, instead of the modern vehciles which have automatic blinds (where you only got to press a few buttons) It seems hard work.
When I was catching the bus once, my bus was held up for 3 minutes because a child firstly, was crying because they didn't want to get on for some reason. Secondly, the child decided they wanted to go upstairs and their parents wanted her to stay downstairs because the child had already taken a long time to get on, which made up the rest of the time.
Probably one of the most annoying things when someone hits there head and knocks the mirror, about to drive off and you look to check your mirror and you can't see, usually happens in an enviro 200
Volvo B7TL Wright Geminis are good buses and because they are a Volvo they are probably nice to drive but they are not as good as the B10s though, I've always had a big soft spot for Wright Bodied Volvos because I love the Wright Renown bodied B10BLEs as they are my favourite bus type I grew up with them here in Merseyside but sadly they've all been withdrawn.
Toby Jackson that's one of the things that make the B10BLEs one of the best low floor buses ever made I'm pretty sure Arriva North East have some Alexander ALX300 bodied B10BLEs which are very rare compared to the Wright Renown bodied ones
I love these, but they ruined it with the sliding doors, it used to be on the old 141s, but I don’t remember 9 seats at the back, maybe it was only in the city.
This video is part 1 of 2.
Part 2 was posted last week!
Anton my mate would love to meet you for his birthday is it possible. He has watched all your videos.
DoubleDeckerAnton what is the route????
We don't live near lol it'll be a day out just to say hello.
Richard Hamp ...your welcome...I drive over London bridge!
DoubleDeckerAnton the wheelchair is not that big then the 2006 model one I think 2002 is good but the 2006 one is great
Saw Anton yesterday driving the bus
Which bus??
These were the best type of gemini 1's, they somehow looked neater, and they sounded much better with their voith gearboxes :D, nice work mr anton :)

thanks for the great review i watch a lot of Volvo trucks reviews and it comes handy when looking how they make the Volvo Bus
Community Tours Australia ...Yes...the volvo buses are actually my favourite bus...they are well made and have smooth power delivery!
Bring back Layland Olympians! They were buses. The nostalgia of going to school on them
I've seen loads of different gemini 1s especially differences in engines and the actual build. I love seeing all the gemini 1 versions
love them 02 b7tl's i remember when these was new volvo olympians were still rolling about lol and other old buses
I liked that bus style, first rode them on the 498 to Brentwood, nice seating and no jerkin around.
I almost fell going up those stairs during my visit in London. I was also drunk that night lol.

I had seen this bus today in Abingdon, it is now works for JD Travel in Oxford and is on school services.
I like that single seat by stairs it nice great vid btw 😁
Wow snow in London😉 I'm guessing recorded in the winter👍🏼 nice vid Anton . Keep it up sir👍🏼
Osian Griffith ...Yes I'm posting my older videos first before my newer one's plus I have to cut and edit a few of them!
DoubleDeckerAnton I'm currently watching a lot of your old videos . Some very interesting a Entertaining videos there . Well made fair play👍🏼
Osian Griffith..Thanks...sometimes I watch the old ones too..😂
The review was great, shame there's not many left now :(
woohoo, new Double Decker Anton vid!
Robert Graham ...It's another D.D.A. video yes..😁
Great Video, thanks Robert for forwarding it to me. Good work on the video Anton
The Stagecoach London tridents have the 9 seats at the back but the single seat is on the other side of the wheelchair area.
You're doing great Anton Keep up the good work 👍
Great video Anton and these are my favourite go ahead buses,
Great video.☺️
Great video! Much similar to one I travelled on recently in Leeds
I remember those geminis but alot are not in use by first and i think they even have been scrapped or sent off
I dont like the new YX18 plated series that have been released on one of my Go Ahead london routes, they had old LX54 and PJ53 buses before which I prefer as I grew up with them and know them well! 😂- really nice video D.D.A 🚌
Great video Anton, big congrats on 15k subs.🚍😊
Great video

Really like this bus model why did they stop it and why did they stop the Alexander Dennis 2003 bus model
Would love him to Review a Dennis Trident!
Where's the notification bus?
Skilz xd hollaaaaa👍🏼
Wow , that’s definitely not today in this heat 💥🔥☄️
With some of the newer buses they have the screens by the disabled area; which normally go on a rota through all of the cameras on the bus - I'd imagine the same cameras that the driver can see as well
Why don’t they do the 9 seats at the back of double deckers anymore ?
I wonder why some old buses with non sliding rear doors had the green straps?

I 100% agree that kids would want to go upstairs. Maybe they go upstairs all the time, the kid wanted attention so he was playing about.
The sensor thing sounds like a maintenance issue to me. May be wrong though! 🤷♂️
I prefer the 2006 model bus because there is more leg room for passengers and I remember these seats were back to forward and now is 9 seats forward
Once I was getting on an Arriva Wright Cadet and I hit my head against the mirror. Lol
I live in kent. and the buses are operated by Arriva. If you go upstairs and sit in the front, you get cramped up. I`m average height so don't know how some who is 6ft plus would get on
Jon Snow, Orlando Bloom, Penn and Teller type Bus Drive
What bus route were you driving?
Hey Anton! Have you ever tried a 'Double Decker' chocolate after it's been in the microwave for 30-45 seconds? it's a game changer, you can eat it with a spoon!
I like your buses

Nice video
That sown on the Streets?
Nice video!
Q. Do you feel that newer buses have better engines than the old ones? Do they behave different?
That’s literally a casual bus in Newcastle, this is the average bus apart from some arriva electronic ones for 308 buses. (308 are the fastest arriving buses in Newcastle which is every 15 minutes approximately)
I do like the 3 speed Voith Geminis, to me it’s mostly good points!
Also in these vehicles, you'd also have to wind the blinds everytime, instead of the modern vehciles which have automatic blinds (where you only got to press a few buttons) It seems hard work.
+T/B/T SimPlayer, I miss the winding blinds.
Lmao I walked over my notes lol

is it snowing in london?
nah its summer now
Lizard ...I'm posting my last 'old videos' before my recent one's! 😁
Lizard Read the description "Filmed May 1st"
No it was recorded in March.
Probably one of the most annoying things when someone hits there head and knocks the mirror, about to drive off and you look to check your mirror and you can't see, usually happens in an enviro 200
2002...wow...must be one of the oldest buses still in service in London 😲
Nice overview of the bus. What's the plate or fleet number of the bus filmed?
From the looks of it, it looks like an LG02 plate, now withdrawn.
UK-Vehicle-Videos ...It's an 02 plate withdrawn...I think it has been scrapped as it too old for service as a 16 year old bus!
One of them has sadly gone to scrap - KHZ is one of them, which was on my local routes until the 85 went to London United.
These are the best and were the bus
Volvo B7TL Wright Geminis are good buses and because they are a Volvo they are probably nice to drive but they are not as good as the B10s though, I've always had a big soft spot for Wright Bodied Volvos because I love the Wright Renown bodied B10BLEs as they are my favourite bus type I grew up with them here in Merseyside but sadly they've all been withdrawn.

Half to magnet please
2002 buses from Hong Kong usually have 0 camera
I love these, but they ruined it with the sliding doors, it used to be on the old 141s, but I don’t remember 9 seats at the back, maybe it was only in the city.
AYE NEW UPLOAD
This bus have the same age as me XD
It's not snowing in britan
You need an oyster card to london public transport
I don't like being upstairs
I actully prefer to stay downstairs
This buse you to work on route 1
i was hit by a bus mirror whilst it was moving busy street no space thats london for you and the reason why it happened
It's quite obvious why the child wants to be downstairs. You are downstairs!
