'If you tell the truth, you don't have to remember anything.' I am such a fan of Samuel L. Clemens's, (Mark Twain's). He had so many words of wisdom. I can't pick a favorite book. Obviously, as I wrote, I'm a huge fan of his. I thought I knew a great deal about Mark Twain, but I just learned so much more. I have never been to Hannibal, MO. Now, I want to go. You look like you had the places to yourselves. ***Thank you, so much, Andrea and Steven. You did a phenomenal job. You had my attention from beginning to end.

Thank you for a wonderful tour. One of Mark Twain's statements, I think from 'Innocents Abroad'... “Travel is fatal to prejudice, bigotry, and narrow-mindedness, and many of our people need it sorely on these accounts. Broad, wholesome, charitable views of men and things cannot be acquired by vegetating in one little corner of the earth all one's lifetime.” You two do the travel so very well, and take us to many places we'll never get to see or experience. Again, Thank you.

Dinner with PIN! Who knew? Delightful food! Wonderful adventure with none other than - - - Tom Sawyer! Thanks for another excellent video trip with you 2! And, look at Steven - tiny baby, sickly child AND NOW a strapping, young man - AMAZING! 1 of my daughters arrived 6 weeks early during one of my US Navy deployments. I didn't meet her until she was 2 months old, but about newborn size. She's always been so eager to live life. Guess she couldn't wait for dad to get home. Such a grand, young lady - mother of 5 of my grandchildren. True story! SPAM in Minnesota AND Mark Twain in Missouri. Looks like you're getting close to KNEE-BRASKA. Eager to meet up with you 2 when you do.Oh yeah - my favorite Twain book is Adventures of Tom Sawyer, but The Mysterious Stranger is a good read too. Bon Voyage! 😎

Brilliant video Steve and Andrea - my favourite bit of the book was where Tom conned the local boys into paying to paint Aunt Polly's fence for him. There are several Tom Sawyer books, but the well known one is by far the best. Fascinating bit of history!

Looks like you two really got your steps done in this video! Great explore and video as usual! Back in my boyhood days ... I use to cut my Grandparent's grass for a dollar and the first book I ever bought was Tom Sawyer. When you consider my Grandparents house set on an acre of land and was at the top of the hill ... I paid a lot more in sweat for that first book! I loved Tom Sawyer and I couldn't hardly wait to spend the proceeds from my next mowing on Huckleberry Finn. I found Huckleberry Finn more of a challenge to read though. I think I was in 5th or 6th grade at the time. I ended up having to read both books again later in high school for literature class. I still enjoyed Tom Sawyer more so over Huckleberry Finn. I think Tom Sawyer is more relatable no matter where you live. I do own the two volume set of Mark Twain's autobiography and they are in my "to read" pile. They take up a good 8 inches of the book shelf next to my bed!

He said he came in with halleys comet and will go out with halleys comet, born 2 weeks after the comet in 1835 died the day after the comet in 1910 .
He was a confederate soldier ( Missouri home guard) he deserted.
Towards the very end of his life he was in bad financial shape and sick he traveled to England (this was about 1906-07) to do speaking engagements to clear his financial problems before he died. Because he filed bankruptcy he was not required to pay back his debt but did so anyway.

It was closed for cleaning. But we were able to walk the grounds and go inside of his airplane. When we went to New Orleans to go see and hear some jazz bands we were disappointed because all the places where bars with obnoxious drunks and half clothed women and wearing paraphernalia necklaces with male and female body parts that shouldn't be exposed. Some people are just too darn gross. Thank you for sharing and God Bless you and your family. Safe travels and I will look forward to your next adventure. 🥰💖👍👍👍👍👍(🌹🐞🦂🌵)
