I must say, I can almost create an eLearning project in just FEW days of following this channel considering that I am not even techy breaky or anything artistic.
This is almost exactly like video editing. I randomly started making lecture videos a few years ago (super rudimentary ones!) because I had to have surgery and didn’t want my a sub giving my lecture about proteins. 😂 I never knew it would come in handy!!! Wow!
hey Devlin, I am a newbee with articulate storyline, trying to learn from your videos and hoping a great transition from teaching to ID. As you said that their are multiple ways of doing anything. one way could be creating a layer in which when we click on Kyle, the other layer emerges in which only Kyle floats in along with those lines and texts "lorem", "ipsum". i realised working on timeline is very confusing as everything shows up on the same slide and shifting time on timeline seems tricky. would that work? which one do u prefer?
Hi Anjali! I am not sure about that approach since I don't remember exactly how I programmed this one, but there are definitely multiple ways to achieve the same goal. As long as it performs as needed, then you're good to go! And if you're working with a team then it may be good to keep the programming as straightforward as possible :D
Thanks very much for your excellent videos and i want ask you how can i design animated talking cartoon character in articular storyline and also if you know a free website for free images to use in my projects . Thanks again
Hi Devlin...I am trying to follow your content...and recently I got a job role where I have to work as an instructional designer n content developer...I would like to learn storyline 360 from the scratch...could you please suggest me any of your playlist I need to follow
Congrats on landing the role! And yes, you can check out this Storyline workshop series :). There's also a getting started with articulate storyline 360 video that may help.
Hello. This question comes from this video's use of cuepoints. I would like to be able to play between points A and B of an audio or video recording. I know that I can create lots of video clips to achieve the same effect but I would prefer to avoid that. I have acquired a trial version of Articulate 360 and the cuepoints work very well but the timeline of the slide seems to be different from the timeline of the audio recording. So... I cannot just set cuepoints at second 1 and second 3 of the slide timeline and play between these two points. Any thoughts on how to accomplish this would be greatly appreciated - Thank you Devlin!
Hi Andrew, good question. It sounds like the timeline jumps are not also jumping to that spot in the audio clip that’s added to the slide? I have not experienced this before (or tried to identify a solution). Sounds like it would take some troubleshooting. Or maybe splitting up the audio into multiple clips that start right after that part of the timeline starts.
