I am happy to say that I bought this knife Ben is making when it was put up in their online store. Real treat to see the handle being shaped. As beautiful as it looks in the video, in person it is exquisite. And it’s a lot of fun to use off in the bushes.

Excellent videos. Having the right tools and how to used them is what it is all about. Thank you for sharing. Far and far away from Marana, Az. USA.

    That first grinder looked awesome.
Also good to see 10 plus years of muscle memory being called in on command when shaping that handle, making it look very easy.
Nice work Ben, that birch is lovely.

Thanks a lot, yes the grinder is amazing I use it like artist uses a paint brush to enable me to shape the wood just how I want. 👍

Love your work. Envious of your belt sander (worked with belt linishers for 20 years prior to redundancy & this one looks amazing). - Seriously not being a smart a**e but do watch out for your hoodie drawstring ;)

Excellent Ben, thank you. Just made my first knife handle and wished i had watched this first. Very clear and insightful. Had issues with the hardware creating greying of the light wood so will learn from this on the next one.
    Cheers.

Loving your videos! Nice, easy way of talking, no raging music...great job. I've just taken delivery of my own variable speed Radius Master and I'm looking forward to making some dust with it! When you're knocking the rough down of the handle I noticed you took fairly aggressive swipes at it. Is there an issue with heating up the tang and possibly upsetting the glue?

Nice work on hadle. Sharp forcus on camera all the time! But kind of scary to see wood dust and metal sparcles from grinder beeing vacumed together. It is so easy to start fire in dispozal bin for dust.

Which is harder to form , micarta or wood ?
I love the orange accents in the micarta handle you did in the fall a couple years ago.

Hi Ben, this is a process I've been struggling with a bit, I've only got a small beltgrinder, seem to have trouble getting steel filings on the wood and scratching knife edge around handle, I noticed a lot of your handle sanding is going across the grain of the steel, are all scratchs removed by the time you've finished?
