Are any seashells okay for knife making? I know that they can often be thin, but there are really big clams where I live and they're used to make wampum (a fine type of native American craft material to make decorative jewelry)
@@EmberleafWorkshop Thanks, I am looking at getting a buloke and acacia peuce (now a protected species) handled kephart style. The buloke as an insert in the acacia in the style of an arrowhead. I am travelling up north to see if I can get the acacia. It is likely to be from an old fence post or indigenous peoples old weaponry. I will be back in a few months and will then reach out. PS the woodlore and woodlore pro that you make are flawless and functional!
Can only cover so much in the video, keeping to the broad strokes, but anything is viable. Like I said in the video, if it exists we can bolt a knife to it in some manner!
Thanks for the very thorough description of everything going on.
Beautiful handle material

Ive used them cast in resin but that's about it, but mother of pearl and various others can be used as inlays
what about the different faux ivories?
We do not use a lot of it and do not offer it as a standard option, although will use it if asked/required also and the video can only be so long.
Any buloke?
All woods, but can only cover so much in the video

@@feartheduck6664 Very interesting I look forward to seeing what you come up with.
Didn't see any stone either other than the mammoth products.

No mother of pearl?
