@@GraveVisitations its an odd thing to see wexford after hearing about it for years; do you know of larry and pierce? you have a bit of a frightening appearance; very character from a horror movie you; lol; i watch these things; ive always been morbid since i was a kid; curious; and now at 65 there is that creeping feeling that youre watching your soon to be next home ; its a little chilling
That graveyard is looking wonderful and how it's revealing all the wonderful headstones and memorials.
Reminding us of the past.
I'm grateful to know the young man who decided to take the initiative to put this graveyard in order is doing a wonderful thing and maybe it might catch on for others to do the same. Thank you.

My husband & I were on vacation in Ireland in late August & Cathal & Sue were gracious enough to take us to this graveyard😮Overgrown it was,liken to a walk in the jungle.We did get to see inside the mausoleum & the caskets,an amazing sight to see.Thank you Cathal & Sue for making this girl's dream come true,couldn't see Ireland without meeting these wonderful people😊😊😊

I was really moved by the coffins and I'm so glad they were resting relatively undisturbed. Praying that it remains that way for a long time to come. ❤
Even more important than exposing history, you're giving people their names back, and giving them back their dignity as they lie silently in repose.

This was wonderful to see Cathal. After looking at Paris, this gives me chilling goosebumps of what is sorely needed in beautiful old Ireland. That was an amazing amount of work by Willie. We will have to see what we can do for him. On another note, my father used to call me and my sisters "numbskulls" or "numskulls" all the time when we were young. I never liked it, it always made me feel stupid. Knuckleheads was another. We never did measure up to his high standards. Hope you are well Cathal. Love to both you and Sue. ♥️🙏🌟

I am fortunate to have my father buried in a National Cemetery. Fort Logan, Colorado, Denver. It is allways immaculate. Even the old part from the early 1800's is tidy and the grave markers clean and aligned perfectly.

To see inside, how incredible. Olde English “s” looked like an “f”
I know because my Dad used old English lettering when he made table and chairs for my eldest sisters (twins). Their names were on each girls little chair. Except with the Olde English, we used to giggle at how a letter looked like a different letter & we’d read the names as they looked to us!!

Why is the Church of Ireland not maintaining the graveyard.
This happens in every location countrywide. They just abandon things to nature
I must actually talk to yourself and Sue, about a graveyard very similar in Rathfarnham Dublin. In the middle of the village, and totally abandoned

The Little Girl and the Little Boy died 7 days apart and the Parents Died on the same Date: 3yrs apart

Awesome job guys .. me and my partner are both of Irish descent..he was born in Wexford so was keeping a close watch for any descendants names but maybe they aren’t any in this particular one . Great video. Just to say, Cromwell croaked in 1658, George lll was the reigning monarch when Cornelius Grogan was brutally put to death in 1798, 140 years later.

That word you were having trouble with was heiress, but in old English they often wrote one s sort of elongated so it looked like an f. They seemed to do it when two S’s appeared together.

I discovered this cemetery by chance when I was driving past on my first trip to Ireland and visited it straight away.
That was in September 2018. At that time, the cemetery looked more like a jungle.

I look forward to seeing more clean ups. I am wondering if you have gravestone cleaners that can remove dirt, lichen, mold, moss, etc. Even more history would be revealed! That letter at "Heirefs" is not an "f" , but a, old german style "s" , so it is "Heiress" . In old german language , in the middle of a word an "s" looked like an "f" without the middle line . There might have been a connection between irish people and german people .
Why is there no perpetual care in these amazing cemeteries???? Private cemeteries here often don't either, but they r very small family cemeteries. That's so sad. Those lives should never be forgotten. ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

Every time I visit the graves of family and friends I always clear the overgrowth from a few unloved and forgotten graves. But it is nothing compared to what your friend Willie has achieved. He's an absolute hero and I wish there were more like him.
Showing respect for the past gives some hope for the future. This is a very worthwhile endeavour!!

We have an abandoned mausoleum here in Rhode Island there are about 75 people in it. People have gone into it they have broken into the caskets and stolen jewelry and thrown the bones all around. There are video's on u tube just look up abandoned mausoleum Cranston Rhode Island. There are a few of them it's been going on for years. Sorry I missed the premiere.

Those ancient graves are not deliberately forgotton: the families die out and we all have our turn at more or less disappearing from ever having existed. That's life.

Yes i remember peeping through the vent at the rear and seeing the coffins ,and i remember they looked small .there was a strong iron door on it then ,over 50 years ago

It’s incredibly sad to see 2 little children who died within a week of each other.
reminds me of visiting bridlington priory seeing people working in the burial ground mowing away despite some bits being left overgrown witch made it interesting as a comparison in some way maybe the lost souls of the dead will have easy chances of finding there dead body's final place of rest rather then wondering round looking for them
