very helpfull 2 sided shader was nice way for displaying 2 texture on same mesh. I am wondering to use same texture on both sides as a normal flag/cloth have same texture on both sides. Thank you great tut
Hey Monica thanks for the video, can always count on a great video from you! I was just wondering if i wanted a certain part of my flag to have more of an exaggerated effect how would i do that, in my case i want to have more folds specifically near the constraint as i have grips latching onto my flag. I've had a go myself but haven't really had any success. I know i could sculpt in Zbrush but unfortunately i don't have access to it so i'm hoping i can rely on simulation.
Hi CJ, I'm guessing it's my computer power. This is what I have. Hope that helps! Intel Core i7 6700K 4.0GHz, 16GB DDR4, 500GB SSD, 2TB Storage, GeForce GTX 1060 6GB :)
@@AcademicPhoenixPlus Ahh interesting. I will have to look into my specs. Thank you so much for responding! Much appreciated! Keep up the excellent work!
@@cjartworks (late response but anyway) i played around with the nucleus settings a bit and depending on what i changed it could get choppy and slower. maybe you have to look into that as well
Can you take a video capture of the problem and post it in the facebook community (It's in the comments). That way the community and I can take a peak. :) Hopefully we can resolve it.
I'm sorry to hear that nCloth is not working for you two. I'm not sure what's going either. I just tried it using Maya 2023.2, and it worked like a charm. I'm curious if you deleted your history/froze transformation before adding the ncloth/passive?
you are saving my life again Monica
Thank you so much for this! Love your content, help me pass my semester!
Quick, Easy and repeatable. Love it

Nice quick and simple tutorial. Thank you for sharing your knowledge.
I'm glad you found it helpful, Tampa Joey! Thank you for watching :)
Hi Monica, my question is, what type of render settings do you have to be able to run your flag simulation so fast? Great videos as always. :)
Awesome as always
Monica, you are so amazing
Every time I have doubts in college, I come here, and you always have a video about it hahaha

Hola Miguel! Thank you for your comment. I thrilled you like the tutorial. Thank you for the support!
How would you export the animation/simulation out and import it into engine?

Hi! If i want to have the flag be waved around by a character, would the ncloth method work? Seems abit demanding
hi thank you very well
Great tutorial !
I created a flag using two planes, when n cloth is assigned to the combined plane, two planes separates. can you help? Thank you

Thank you
Can I export this animation as fbx for an AR filter ?
Question: First thank you! I was wondering how did you get your playback to run so fast? Mine runs slow and choppy. Thanks again!

Very useful, thanks :)
This was very useful. I did a flag and my teacher had use do for homework. But my flag won’t move at all when I play it.
Hi Starlyn, did you figure it out? Make sure your flag has nCloth on it and a nucleus (gravity). The least it can do is fall. Hopefully that helps!
Academic Phoenix Plus I did the gravity and that part.

Academic Phoenix Plus okay I will . What’s the name of the community on Facebook?
Thank you!

hey, Monika! just wanna request a Hoiudini tutorial if possible. from beginning to advanced.
Thank you for the comment Aquib! I'm not much of a Houdini user. Sorry!
Thanks.
You're welcome :)
when i create the ncloth it's super stiff, how do i make it lighter and smoother?
Did you watch the whole video? I can help if need be.
I am using Maya 2023 and the ncloth does not work there....cloth doesnt even fall or move at all :/
@@barraiya I think 2023 still unstable or buggy...I switched back to 2022
